"Stranger danger" is certainly instilled in people; Let me give you a really good example scenario. Let's say you're walking along and a car pulls up beside you. Inside, the driver is an attractive person of your preferred gender and, with a smile, that driver starts flirting with you and asks if you'd like to ride in their car. I can basically guaranteed you'll say "NO" and possibly run and scream in terror. You're trained that the person could only possibly be a kidnapper/murderer. In reality, the odds of that are ridiculously low.
