A wizard appears with an offer of enchantment.
If you agree never to take estrogen again, you gain an unlimited, year round supply of chestnuts. You cannot sell them but you can give them away if you like, and you gain a dedicated gnome, but he can't talk, and all he does is shell the chestnuts for you and roast them if you want, he can also hand-feed you them, but that's all he does.

But if you accept this offer and then take estrogen or anti-androgens, you get turbo-cancer and die.

they are kinda a pain to get open, but you can buy them pre-roasted
but they have a sweet delicious nutty flavor and are great diced up and added to a baked rice dish or stuffed peppers

in italy they puree them with wine and prunes and serve it with roasted pork loin
