I buy dozens of books every month and it reached the point where I can't pay for them anymore. My mother said I should stop because there's no space in my room anymore otherwise she would throw them away, she's a dumb whore who doesn't understand the value of books. I can't even leave this house because I'm jobless and I can't even isolate myself in the woods or the mountains because that requires money as well, there's literally no way out of this except kneeling down to modern society and accept to be a slave trapped in a wage cage for 8+ hours a day. I FUCKING HATE CAPITALISM!
>>
Cool story, bro. Get a job AND a library card.
>>
You are a neet living with your mom, working one day a week washing dishes will cover your expenses and you will probably make some friends and start feeling ashamed about your way of life and start taking on more shifts.

Also, consumerism is your problem, not capitalism.
>>
Books are free, anon
>>
>>23297786
Where do I even find a job where I can only work 1 day a week? Life isn't this beautiful illusion you created in your head where everything is perfect and has a solution, get out of your bubble and look at the real world, no one's hiring you for working 1 day in the entire week.

>Renting books
>Downloading
You're disgusting bugs who can't appreciate the value of having a physical book in your hands or shelves.
>>
>bad with money
>refuses to work
>blames capitalism

Many such cases!
>>
>>23297768
Ideally in a socialist world you would be dragged into the street and shot for perfunctory munitions quality control checking purposes. As it stands just go get a job or go to school or something, you don't sound motivated enough for both.
>>
>>23297815
I AM in college, but my degree is useless so it won't matter anyway since I'll still be useless after I graduate. Also, you can't make money in college, how would that even help me?
>>
>>23297768
you know you can download books for free right
>>
Talk to us when you're stealing grandma's credit card to pay the customs duties on your books again
>>
>>23297820
It is a pity capitalism allows for you to make it this far but I suppose they are in constant need of debtors. You can always kys, that is a victimless crime in all systems.
>>
>>23297830
Being in debt is shitty, but it doesn't put anyone in jail so why would I kill myself over that? Are you stupid?
>>
>>23297796
Like I said, dishwashing. But there are many jobs which will hire people for one or two nights a week especially if that person wants the same night every single week since it makes scheduling easy. Its that whole part time employment world which is used to dealing with people who already have a full time job and just need a little extra cash or are retired and want to have that bit of structure in their life and students and so on. Believe it or not, your neet life shutup in your room with your piss bottles has not provided you with an accurate view of the world.
>>23297820
I worked 30+ hours a week in college, loads of people do. Paid out of pocket for my education and graduated with no debt and a savings.

College is literally the easiest place to get a job with an extremely flexible schedule where you do nothing all day. Apply to be one of the people who sits at desks in any of the dorms or student union or other buildings. You can sit there and read all day.

that's pretty fucking rich coming from you mate

one day your mother will die then we'll see how valuable your books are, the streets will rape you. You will not survive the real world faggot.
>>
>>23297838
In the end that didn't mean shit since Biden is now forgiving all student debt kek.
>>23297844
How? I've never heard of those "desk sitting" jobs you're talking about. To be a librarian here you need a degree in librarianship, it's not for the average jobless student.
>>23297845
I might be sheltered but I ain't no stranger to the streets, idiot. I live in a hard neighborhood and have seen some shit, don't compare me to the average clueless pampered white boy on 4chan.
>>
>>23297768
Haven't you tought that if you have so many books then you could sell them or trade them? Nigga just think a little bit before posting on 4chan
>>
>>23297925
I would never sell my books, some of them are very rare and aren't being sold anywhere else.
>>
Just but Picrel and read public domian ebooks from project Gutenberg.
>>
>>23297768
Ok but have you read any of them? Why the fuck have you acquired debt? Didn't you see what was coming for you if you spend money you didn't actually have? Agree with some of the other anons here. Get a part-time job. If your mother can support you in this time my god thank her because soon you will have nobody to rely on. Get on your feet.
>>
>>23297942
Fuck, I forgot the picrel
>>
You could try getting books for cheap and reselling them for more. Maybe even open up an etsy and sell "aesthetic" bundles of worthless books sorted by colors or some shit like that.

Average /lit/ user

>since Biden is now forgiving all student debt kek.
He only can forgive debt given by the government, plenty of people get/got private loans. But in the end it meant I have lived a much more comfortable life than the bulk of my friends and have not had to worry about money,
>>23297913
>How? I've never heard of those "desk sitting" jobs you're talking about.
You are not in college unless you are doing it online or going to some tiny community college.
>>
>>23297768
people who idolize physical books are just retarded and care only about the appearances and the social bonus it gets them
>>
>>23298013
Sure, let's see where all your collection will go when the western elites start censoring the internet and deleting all PDFs they deem "innapropriate" to the New World Order.
>>
>>23297827
came here to say this. if you're a poorfag, download e-books for free ffs
>>
all this buildup and no photo...

Are they just shit cheapo paperbacks?
>>
>>23297768
Post bookshelf. Let’s see it.
>>
>>23298013
Appearances for whom? I’m a neet and zero people visit me, let alone see my personal library .
>>
Your father abandoned you so you seek refuge in books which is why you hold on to them physically as your father wasn't there for you growing up. So now you're in a permanent juvenile state. Many such cases
>>
>>23297913
>I might be sheltered but I ain't no stranger to the streets, idiot. I live in a hard neighborhood and have seen some shit, don't compare me to the average clueless pampered white boy on 4chan.
Lol mate that's the dumbest nigger attitude there is. Being from "the streets" isn't the real world. Knowing the real world is being able to get a fucking job.
>>
>>23297768
You are definitely 15 or something like that.
When I was that age, I also filled bookcases with books, bur I bought them from 2nd hand shops where it's like $2-4 a book. You must be buying them new to get in to debt.
>fuck capitalism
This has nothing to do with owners vs workers and everything to do with your shit handling of finances.
Buy books second hand, and stop buying so many, instead focus on reading what you have.
Get a job, increase your income, if your unskilled focus on unskilled jobs and search for Labor agencies. Meantime focus on acquiring employable skills to increase income.
You can be a slave or you can choose to master the system. Get income , keep expenses rela4ively low, and stream it into assets which increase your income (eg, DCA into S&P 500, money market deposits, rental income and capital appreciation - if youre able you can trade but that isnt for everyone) instead of funnelling it into garbage. Soon enough you will be an owner and a freeman instead of a slave. Then you may still hate capitalism but at least you will benefit from it.
>>
>>23299481
Also don't call your mum a dumb whore you sack of shit.
>>
>>23297786
Consumerism and capitalism, since it lead him to rack up a mountain of debt and avaricious usurious capitalists helped him by offering him consumption loans.
>>
>>23297768
why don't you just pirate books?
>>
>>23297871
Go back dealing drugs and pimping out negresses on the streets, stupid nigger.
>>
>>23297768
Pirate them. Most of books except newest and most obscure are freely available on torrents and non-torrent sites, originals and translations.
>>
>>23297913
>In the end that didn't mean shit since Biden is now forgiving all student debt
Biden wants to be Solon, and free the next generation of taxpayers out of debt. Big banks always win; it either get bailed out, or is getting paid by the current taxpayers to bail out borrowers who are the future taxpayers— wealth is shifting from one generation to the next.
>>
>>23298893
just make repository somewhere. + in any case if you're in europe there is like a galaxy of small second hand librairies. Plus since its all old books you have decreased your chances of reading absolute shit thanks to the selective property of time.
>>23299456
Then you really are stupid. Though the only good thing about physical format is you can draw on them and personalize your book
>>
>>23299492
Capitalism generates the junk in the first place. 100 thousand copies of some special reprinting of a book for you to buy to feel good.

You have the printing infrastructure all set up to churn paper into books, so you run it.

>>23297768
Capitalism is not the problem. The problem is you're a lazy, ungrateful retard.
>>
>>23297768
Don't listen to the haters OP, you're doing good. Try to get on some kind of welfare and rent a storage locker or start possessing an abandoned house so you can claim adverse possession. You can also steal library books for free.

>>23298893
this but unironically

capitalism?? you're a lazy bastard that insults his mother online. You're a arrogant parasite who profits but doesn't provide any work. You flee into books and try to justify your situation with fantasies. Become competent and independent to prove yourself that you're actually as capable as you seem to think you are.
