So i have a tiny library (and food bank/supply depot) i made in a remote area, i have a issue i'm worried about. I have wide and eclectic range of books, i decided early on that my selection would be good, pic related for first books. Most little library's suck.

Here is the issue: is it morally ok for me to loot age inappropriate books from another tiny library? I have taken all three volumes of 50 Shades of Grey from a laundromat and 8 books from VC Andrews from a tiny library made by Girl Scouts in a playground.

Am i being a asshole where i just don't think kids at a playground should be reading VC Andrews and putting them out of reach until they are older?

do you not have a regular library you could donate books to?

Not one of these books would be worth stealing and reselling on amazon. Do better OP.

Put a roof over it dumbass

These little libraries are such a, I don't know what to call them – I think most people just take whatever looks good but don't leave anything in return. At least that's what I've done the small handful of times I've ever engaged with these things.
Personally, I'd take the Bud Light and the TP, and maybe the book on the Clintons, but that's it, lol. Maybe the book on bird feeding.

I've definitely taken more than I've returned over the course of my life but I'm trying to downsize my library a bit so these days I'm just putting stuff into them. Also the general quality of the books in them has tanked in the past few years, and the people who install them seem to be doing less curating and maintenance. Now it's mostly a lot of self-help junk that stays in them for months at a time

I always leave more than I take but if I see woke stuff I throw it away. I make the world a better place everyday.

How do I build one?

Why would you have a LFL in a remote area? People barely use them in cities

Why are you asking 4chan of all places for moral guidance on children's reading. Half the people on this site would rape a kid if they thought they could get away with it. Just do what you think is best.
Maybe put some good children's books in there to replace the smut and grow a spine while you're at it, instead of worrying about if the internet thinks you're an asshole.

Donating books to the library means they sell them off at pennies and then reinvest in wokeshit and slop for the plebs
