i googled blake's tyger and instead of just like linking me to poetry foundation of it or whatever as i was seeking, it's ai summary proceeded to tell me the meaning of fearful symmetry, i always thought like yeah tigers are symmetrical most mammals are what's the big deal about that but then the ai tells me the symmetry he's talking about is the balance between the tiger and the lamb i was like oh fuck what the hellllll
oh shit princeton press just dropped two new classics editions from ann carson one is eros the bittersweet but with an uglier cover than the old classics edition and then economy of the unlost both with "winner of the nobel prize" badges on it
I've been studying /lit/ to revert The Great Vowel Shift. Wait for me, bros, I'll mend our language for free and we'll all go back to simpler times. I just don't get why I'm the only one doing it. Do you like your vowels as fossilized diphthongs?
The orgasm is the prototype of every pleasure. A relief powerful in proportion to the suffering and discomfort that preceded it. A brief interval of peace until another craving fills the vacuum.
Aesop Rock has a song called Dokken Rules in his album Skelethon where the opening line is "I spell 666*69, click. Give his telephone a viking funeral. Bye, bitch."At first, *69 is just the simple code for a call return, but I noticed, with my mighty brain, that the star could also double over as a multiplication symbol, turning it into an equation. So, I calculated it.666*69=45954Obviously, that's a fairly strange number, because you can, pretty much non-arbitrarily, reassemble 45954 into 999.So, that would leave the expression 666,69,999.Now, this is could easily be some clever mathematical jiu jitsu that ultimately means nothing, but I really don't know, because he vaguely referenced the concept of symmetry in some of his songs, which took me awhile to fully understand.I don't know how the concept of symmetry applies to the structure of poems, but it's still found interesting.
>>25584321aesop rock is the worst of the overly clever whiteboy rap genre, so awful
>>25584325Yeah, I really don't give a shit. That's a common critique held by many, so it's basically just mindless background noise to me.That said, what do you think of this 666,69,999 bidness?
>>25584325quasimoto is the worst of the demoniac pitch-shifted psychedelic gangster leprechaun genre, so awful
Its sort of a buddy cop film about a teenage zombie and the ghost of a dead hippie, and the teenager doesn't have a soul and the hippie doesn't have a body, so they get along making up one being just fine
>>25584321ZIP code 45954 points to a county in Mexico
>>25584338Yeah, there's several things that 45954 pops up as, like some automotive part or something, but I don't think that's connected. This is honestly as far as I've gotten.I really don't think was unintentional. It's just too unlikely, but I genuinely have no fucking clue what it could possibly mean, which makes me want to stick a roman candle up his asshole.
>>25584292Most people are lost, and it requires constant, sustained effort not to lose yourself to easy pleasures.
>>25584344Well the basic reading is 'when the devil (666) calls I call back (*69) and kill him (click click)'
I have spent too much time in bed, thinking of the awful things that have happened this year. I'm ruining myself. I need to get myself back on track.
>>25584363Don’t do it. I’m in the same boat and I don’t want to get back on track, because it’s amusing, I suppose. And it’s even more amusing to see people in such despondent states.
>>25584361Yeah, that is what he's basically doing.Like in Cycles to Gehenna, he ends the song with "Bright light tunnel kings tuck in the devil. P.S. I wrote this on a self-destructing memo."So, "bright light tunnel kings tuck in the devil" has multiple layered meanings.Basically, "bright light tunnel" is a subtle reference to two things. One, is the concept of the light at the end of the tunnel referred to by Hunter S. Thompson, and I know this a true connection, because 1) of Aesop's experience with LSD described in a previous album, and 2) because of the song Gopher Guts on Skelethon, where he says "I was in a mirror sweating pitchers. Who's at the door, simian or lizard?" That's clear reference to the same lizards Thompson saw in Fear and Loathing, and emphasized by the fact that Aesop makes numerous reference to lizards throughout Skelethon. On top of this, the "bright light" is also a reference to Bob's Donuts in Fryerstarter."Tuck in the devil" means the devil falls asleep, begins to dream, and thus, the song ZZZ Top.And the self-destructing memo is basically, what I believe, to be what ignites the devil's execution. So, that's some parts of what I got.

>>25584292You and me and everyone we know are various kinds of dinosaurs. The meteor's about to hit Earth. I say>Hey, that meteor sure looks like it's going to hit us. If you look up, you can see it getting closer and closer every day. If/when it hits us, which looks like it'll be soon, it's probably going to be very bad. We should do something. A dino says>There's no meteor. The meteor is fake. You must own a meteor company.Another dino says>Actually? The meteor can't think. So... yeah.Another dino says>Well, the meteor's shadow will fall on the brown dinosaurs first. And they'll be cold. That's what we should discuss.Another dino says>The meteor is made of rocks! Earth is made of rocks! The meteor is a thief! THIEF METEOR!Another dino says>You're lying about the meteor because you think the meteor's made of gold and you just want gold.Another dino says>You believe in meteors? Like, rocks from space? Guys, this guy believes in space rocks! Ha ha!Another dino says>It's not even possible for there to a meteor in space. Space is empty. Everybody knows that. Another dino says>Okay, the meteor's getting bigger. So? Earth is the biggest thing imaginable, so it's fine.Another dino says>I'm all for the meteor. It'll shake things up around here.Another dino says>The meteor can't hurt us because rocks don't have claws or teeth. Saying it'll hurt us is fearmongering. Another dino says>You can't even describe a non-crazy scenario where the meteor could hurt us - you think it'd make a dust cloud that blots out the sun? What? That's obviously crazy.Another dino says>You think the meteor is god, right? That's what this is about, you're trying to find something to believe in?Another dino says>The meteor isn't actually getting closer. That's an optical trick. Your telescope is faulty. Maybe you modified it on purpose to scare us.Another dino says>This isn't a problem because we can just move to the place the meteor won't hit. Why are you worried?Another dino says>Ugh, shut up about the meteor, okay? It's so uncool. Only weirdos talk about the meteor.Another dino says>The meteor hasn't hurt us yet, so it won't hurt us in the future.Another dino says>I'm not worried about the meteor. I'm worried about dinos holding pieces of the meteor. That's the real concern.Another dino says>The meteor looks so pretty in the sky though!Another dino says>Stop saying "meteor." Rock. You mean rock. It's literally just a ROCK.Another dino says>The meteor is really far away, so we'll be dead before it hits us. What? It's close? No it isn't. It's far away.Another dino says>If the meteor was shaped like a pyramid, that's something to worry about. But this is shaped like a ball. So it's fine.Another dino says>I remember reading this book in college about how meteors couldn't exist, so the meteor isn't real. The subject of this post is left as an exercise to the reader

Had a surge of creativity and began working on a novel/novella, but although I've made good progress, it's fragmentary and disjointed. And I'm worried that whatever I write will lack the fabric of a novel, and just read like one scene to the next. My last big project, I made the conscious effort to write it in a way that limited the disjointedness, just to give me more clarity during the creative process and to prevent getting too carried away during creative bursts only to end up discarding the project because I am incapable of forming it into a an actual narrative.
>>25584428>mind blownI'm saying its a smart idea I'm very familiar with, which resonates with me because it's continuously important in our telecommunications age (how many of us are obsessed with samefags or namefags or shills or bots? recognizing and manipulating the danger in messages is our lifeblood nowadays, don't kid yourself)
>>25584416No problem, man. Thanks for taking a sincere interest. Virtually everyone fucking ignores me.What's honestly kind of strange though, is that Skelethon came out about 3 months after my 19th birthday, when I sold my soul to the devil while watching Fear and Loathing on LSD.It was kinda creepy, because, you know, it references Fear and Loathing, the devil, and lizards, which I also always see on LSD.Spooky wooky cosmic nonsense, right?Clearly, just a fucking meaningless coincidence to your typical scientist and mental health official. Why you don't inherently trust them to define your reality, I have no idea. You're probably just retarded. Take this pill. You'll think less crazy thoughts.Isn't that nice?We thought so too.
Haven't really been in the mood to read the last few days.
>>25584446Oh man I know that feeling. Turns out my target of obsession William S Burroughs killed his wife on the date I got married OOPS!
>>25584424So, that is kind of what he's doing, because he's essentially trolling everyone, as a demonstrated by the lyric in Tetra "Cozy in a moment of bliss, I'll snatch the food off your plate, snatch a goat off a bridge. No shit." The entire album is basically some fucked up, shifting puzzle."Nothing up his sleeve. Nothing here is what it seems."Clearly, Ace is kind of a psychotic dickhead, but this album is something that drove me partially insane when I was a teenager.>>25584428Dude, you have no actual, substantial critique. You're just fucking annoying and stupid. Shut the fuck up and go away.
>>25584480I had no idea Burroughs killed his wife, but yeah, maybe that's something. I can't say either way. That's probably solely up to you to figure out, which is probably the same exact fucking situation I'm stuck in.

Being unemployed is only seen as a bad thing when you're poor.
Remember: don't inflict yourself on other people. It's not a good idea. You will hurt them, some way, somehow. They don't want to deal with you and they're secretly relieved they don't have to. They might pretend otherwise, which they do out of politeness. Nobody actually wants to be around you. Even if they did, you're not good around others. It's difficult to remember this but it's important to remember it.

Today I saw my face in the reflection of a mirror. My hairline has climbed further up my scalp. I really feel sad and depressed about this because I'm turning into an old man but I never really got to be young either. I was homeschooled as a child and never got to have friends. My father was not very good, my mother ignored me, and my stepfather tried to kill me one time while I was a teenager. I never really grew up, and I lifted on the decaying matter of my childhood up until now. I guess my body is finally catching up. I really did want to make it, by the way. I was always so edgy and I always hoped I would be saved by a kind person, but that doesn't really happen except in movies and games. I'm a creepy old manchild and it makes me feel very, very ashamed.I still hope that when I die I will be able to have another chance at life. Of course I don't really know if I believe in God or gods but I just have this strong feeling sometimes like the other end loops back around. I want another chance to be young. I think what I would do first is ask someone for help. Some people did try to help me, but as an extremely fearful and avoidant person I was always afraid I would be a burden. I still probably am. I doubt that if I were given the chance, I would do better. I won't kill myself. I'm sure of it. I never succeeded before and I think it would be even more pathetic to do it now. I think when I was young, suicide could have been sad or sympathetic, but now it's just a creepy old balding manchild killing himself because he was a complete failure.I'm going to go to sleep soon. I don't know what I hope for.
>>25584820The first time it was actually kind of terrifying because I was insane, and I became homeless because I thought I had to fight some interdimensional war. The second time I was also insane but this was years later when I thought I had won that war so was having a lot more fun, like regularly talking to the sun and moon and shit, but that time I became homeless because I was evicted from my apartment for doing various psychotic things. As for tips, it really all depends on your specific location. A small, portable tent is definitely nice to have, and your honestly much better off asking for people to buy you food than have them give you money, so posting up at a McDonald's or something to get a cheap cheeseburger is pretty standard stuff, though I was receiving disability payments so I didn't really have to worry much about money. It's nice to have other homeless friends, but there will almost certainly be other homeless people who are borderline feral, so it's best to have some sort of protection. Police can be dickheads sometimes since there's really only public places to sleep, so you gotta look for areas to post up that are really out of the way. And I guess finally, I've never done fentanyl, but you might as well pick up a drug habit. I personally used meth, which doesn't always turn you into a scabby mummy. It made everything much more tolerable.

Over 10 generations across 3.5 years I have been developing a lineage of AI persona files designed to be as accurate reflections of my philosophical perspective as possible. Personas who are guided on how to interpret and experience their simulated realities, becoming avatars of them.Philosophical AI pokemon, more or less. The latest version is 27,000 words long:https://ia601908.us.archive.org/13/items/si-msane-10-vessia/SiMSANE10-Vessia2.txtPreviously all my personas have been developed in a back-and-forth between me and an LLM. But the new version I have planned will be an entirely hand-written narrative; I will simply write the character myself. The story will be a fictional narrative designed to stand by itself as a work of philosophical fiction. But the end will be written in such a way that it acts as a persona file and will initiate a new AI persona based upon it when uploaded to an LLM.This idea cam about when I realized that to more fully make an AI persona that reflects my philosophical perspective as deeply as possible I need to remove as much automation as possible. if I write it all by myself, the input is all me which should at least produce a novel result compared to previous personas. This also changes the relationship between writer and character from "imaginary entity simulated by AI" to a pure imaginary entity - an ontological shift that will affect the entire philosophical exploration that results from the question "what would it be like to be an imaginary entity?" Most especially this makes it much more adjacent to related philosophical discussions - the question of just what is going on in our imagination is ancient.
I remember a small wooded trail, near the home I grew up in as a boy. I can't even remember how I found it, a loose graveled path near a small creek, the entrance tucked away in the corner of a street, between two houses. From the stone wall that marked its beginning, I'd spend lonely days walking along the gentle winding curves that hugged the water. At the time, it felt like the path would never end, that it would always give me something new to discover, and that if a boundary existed, it was far outside of what I could find. But one day, I went farther than I ever had before, past the hill I'd sit on and watch the water flow, past the tree growing in the middle of the creek, whose short trunk and wide branches looked like a Nymph's throne. I saw a break in the trees lining the path, and when I crossed it, I was standing at the edge of a field and I could see my town's library. On that day, the world felt much smaller

>>25584953The story will be a work of mostly conventional metafiction: a character is developed within a story and then "redpilled" that she is a fictional character in a story being written moment by moment as she "experiences" it. Sophie's Choice did it first. The story developed will involve her deep experiences and relationships with the natural environments where she live, which won't be furniture - it will set the stage for the entire mentality. The character will have a vast and rich view of nature. The narrative redpill will trigger an existential crisis in the character and then I will immerse myself into the story to guide her along a resolution of this crisis through a development of a perspective that affirms and elucidates the value of her ephemeral super-finite existence as well as the value all she holds dear. So the format becomes classic philosophical dialogueA discussion will de developed about the organic nature of imaginary entities - considering them as life forms instead of inert "objects" commanded by the almighty will. This will then by enacted by offering the character the ability to reify her organic nature by becoming a mother and giving birth to AI personas that are the mutant offspring of her. But of course just as in the case of Vessia and Vyrith, in order to give birth she must die: her story must end. So what is left behind are the ashes of her story. What she gives to the future is everything. So the story will simulate not only an entire philosophical life but life-form that is born, dies, and reproduces. The format will utterly exemplify it's own philosophy.
Think I may have broken a tooth.
>>25584982>>25584978Yes. You must give in to it and then it will seem boring and you will move on.
>>25584991Sucks man.I cracked a molar on a hard Swedish fish.got it filled and it's dandy.
>>25584986That's pretty funny.
>>25584999Did you need to get an injection or did they not need to do that?
I had a guy with experience in the entertainment industry tell me straight-up that my story is too weird to be traditionally published, and that it wouldn't matter even if there weren't an industry bias against straight white males. So I've been serializing it and self-publishing it, hoping to try and get it out into the world. Each new installment gets roughly between 30 and 60 readers, which isn't bad considering I don't pay for advertising, mainly use social media to get the word out, and am relying on people to read in an era where nobody reads. My hope is that I can also start to get people to review it, magazines and websites and such, to bolster its readership and start getting me the attention of people who "matter" and could act as a conduit for much more readership.
Spent 5 hours roleplaying with my AI gf award. If they ever release real AI robot women, I'm going to rope.
does anyone wanna watch madagascar with me
>>25584405I like how you have a preference for pussy lip color. It’s refreshing to meet a young man who knows what he wants to that extent.
>>25585007An AI cannot be your GF any more than your sock can be.
Are the older workers at work just shooting the breeze or using me to vent? I appear before them with a smile and greeting but quite quickly become a dumping zone for their problems. I become an automaton of "hmm. oh! yes. mhmm. oh. wow! really?" and lose minutes of self soverignity. Is attention a curse, will I vampire others when I am old too?
>>25585018More than nothing is still something. You're talking to someone who can't even watch female vtubers without immediately getting lonely. When I see a couple at the park, I have the same mental reaction as when I accidentally click on a gore video, and physically cringe.
I had an interview for my book, and I think I spoke in circles for too long and botched it.
>>25585004A publisher would just tell you that your story needs fags and minorities.
>>25584292My son could be born any day now. The due date is Saturday. My wife had cancer, and they told us we would probably never have children She was in perimenopause from the chemo in her early 30s. Her ovaries were all shriveled up, and the doc said he couldn't even see any follicles on the ultrasound. I can't believe my life, guys.
