The Mahorobas fixed the Shinkiro design flaws but they didn't to give proper weapons to them. Nakada has said that the Reishiki doesn't have any of the built-in beam weapons from the Shinkiro so judging by the arm shield generators it probably would have MVS and VARIS since it was made for Suzaku, perhaps someday they will have the handheld weapons designed for a game.

C.C. tends to be more cerebral and cool; her scenes are focused on quips and discussions with Lelouch and her action tends towards espionage, which /m/ finds to be pretty boring. Kallen though delivers on the high octane mecha action that /m/ loves. Kallen is also the only one to defend Lelouch during the BK betrayal, and was willing to die with him. She's also the last girl Lelouch sees and the one who he kisses before going off to die. It's flipped on /a/ however, with people not liking Kallen because her hotbloodness leads to a lot of recklessness and conclusion jumping. Both of the girls are extremely loyal to Lelouch by the end though, and badass in their own way. I think C.C. was slightly closer overall though as she felt like Lelouch's partner rather than subordinate, and Lelouch confided basically everything to her.

I find this talk of retcons and thinking you can always trust the people of the original show to give you all the correct information funny giving the script for Stage 26 way back had them retconning Inoue's death to have been caused by the Emperor and his ship and that the Emperor was going to have arrived in Area 11 before C.C. and the Gawain took out the Siegfried.

I'm trying to track down its source. I want to actually check out its context. Its something everyone has taken for a given forever but new stuff doesn't lime up with it.Is it from an LN? If so, which one. If not, is it a case of a misconception like the 50 years thing? Did someone else make it up and everyone else ran with it? Its something I really want to dig into.

This might be a crazy fucking opinion to have but I like Code Geass (why I'm in this fucking thread) and want all of it's projects to succeed and be good. Was Akito perfect? No. Do I like what it did with characters like Lelouch and Suzaku? Not really. Was it entertaining? I suppose. The Knightmares and character designs were cool and the animation and aesthetics were on point. I hope Roze does well and brings at least some good with it.
