Post some horse tunes. Remixes or originals, new and old, anything really.

The first of the Wasteland Wailers songs recently turned 10 years old: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d741JHtavVs

BGM recently opened a bandcamp account but its incomplete. I would also love proper releases of BGM songs, possibly even organized in albums would be my dream.

You know, this general might have more activity if it had a consistent title. And maybe a quickstart guide for people looking to get into it.

Very disappointed to see zero discussion on this site here after it dropped. I think it'd be a great thing to have in the OP link.

More activity? Thes thread (general) perfectly aligns with any other. Low amount of new content, discussions die, becomes a bumpfest most of the time covered as random "hey check this out!" with 0 replies, thread falls off p10.

Cool, glad to see a station come back from the dead. If only they could bring back every station from Ponyvillelive...
Looks like Celestia radio is finally dead though.

How's the content? I remember one station trying to pivot to a broader fandom, but don't have access to the list on Ponyville Live.

There was some discussion about it a while ago. Some have speculated that it might've been some online trolling or bullying scenario. It wasn't the first time he nuked his stuff though but I suppose this is permanent.
That being said, I may have a lead as to where he is now. You'll have to remind me to get on that if I have time tomorrow.

If you collect the music locally, how do you organize it? Do you have a private collection or make it accessible somewhere? The latter sounds like a good use case for Soulseek or Funkwhale. Imagine federated servers of various poni collections.
I've started collecting pony music just a few weeks ago (so far downloaded a bunch of P@D compilations which had songs I liked, and Mareweather album), and I just drop it into another library on my Jellyfin server, but it feels a bit like a waste if it's there just for me. At least with torrents I could seed the music, as I used to do with PMA. Might be half decent idea to download the last release of PMA again and import it into JF, then just shuffle through it all.

Been listening to a lot of Bass Rabbit/Dynamite Grizzly/Lazy Ruby/etc. lately—probably my favourite (former) pony musician just for the consistency and quality of their output. They put out a final pony music mix a couple months ago.

Only a private collection. Most of my tracks have personal notes, comments, quotes, "links" to other tracks, and other information added to the COMMENT tag. Some of them also have a custom coverart. If I wanted to share my library, I'd have to strip out this metadata. Also, my collection includes stuff I've actually paid for, and I don't think it would be fair to share it if the artist doesn't provide a lossless download for free. However, if someone were to ask me for a particular track/album that is no longer available publicly, I'd probably be happy to share it (after removing my metadata).

As for organization itself, I have a strict set of rules regarding directory structure, file naming and tagging that I've developed over the years of collecting music. It ensures that the collection is always neatly organized and I'm able to easily find anything I'm looking for. I also use playlists to group tracks that share similar style/mood, or include a particular instrument/element, which sometimes helps me find stuff faster.

>so far downloaded a bunch of P@D compilations which had songs I liked, and Mareweather album
P@D and other compilation albums are a good starting point. vul is kino.

if you're a newer artist then probably not, I don't think it's been updated since around 2017, if that.

Yeah this was one of several brony music projects initiated by Freewave back in the hayday. This one in particular was from 2011. He was following the early brony music scene very closely back then but not so much later of course. Site wasn’t really utilised after a while, along with MLR where he was also a moderator. He also did a lot of brony entries on RYM.
