But it didn't prompt me to search for FiM itself back then. Only something like a few months ago I finally had the neuron activation and realized this was meant to be a parody of FiM - for some reason I treated these two series as totally unrelated. I'd check in on anonfilly general from time to time ever since then, until one day I noticed it was gone. This was when the jannies eventually started killing the filly, I went to /trash/ and started writing my first green ever there, it was shit and I was told it was shit. I abandoned it for a few months, the thread had moved to mlpol by then. I began to work on it again there, eventually it reached novel lengths. Still a fucking mess, but working consistently on something for years does help you build up some skills and Anons were kind enough to give feedback back then instead of just saying nothing or telling you to fuck off. I don't write as much those days, what I do is a lot better; but I miss my days of zero skill and 200% ambition.Thank you for reading my stupid reddit blogpost

When I first started, it was basically just putting my fantasies onto the screen with pretty much no care for quality. As soon as you start caring about that, your words-per-minute is almost certain to lower by a lot. As much as I miss that productivity, whenever I look back at the earliest stuff I did, I feel like dying. Another minus is the green I enjoyed before started to look pretty mediocre when I eventually learned enough about writing. Anyway, if you still enjoy writing, you absolutely should keep doing it regardless of the struggle. Even just small shit is really satisfying to finish and put out there.
