Thanks for the OP links, a lot of them are really helpful. Quoting from https://rentry.org/onrms#gotchas>you can (and shall) play with various words to trigger specific responses>say, you want a more descriptive smell. your first word of choice might be "detailed", which might be a solid pick, but why not look for a smell-specific adjective like redolent? use thesaurus to find words with precise and impactful meaning>however, beware unintended connotations outside of your intention. some words may cause unforeseen reactions:> "simple language" may proc bot saying "dude" and "kinda"> "engaging dialogue" may make bot converse for you> "explicit content" may be read as "explicit instructions" causing long sentencesHas anyone found any more words that can change responses? I've used ones like "Be creative!" and such, but haven't seen a notable consistent change in responses.

I have a question. I was digging around to try and find a local model since I've been running into the ole 429 from openrouter again and again and again. I was going through posts and someone linked this. Is this real? and what models would I have access to/want to use? Would this be good for the VN? I apologize if this comes off as naive or retarded, but I really am a boomer trying to navigate this stuff, and man... I just want to hug pons. I'd easily pay 10$ a month if I don't have to deal with the stupid error messages and stuff.
I can't fucking draw... is it over for me, bros?
>>42503925https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/42053710/#42055360
>>42503936My fimfiction account is only two years old... is it over for me, bros?
>>42503891It's https://chutes.ai, right? If so, yeah, it's both real and legit. In fact, if you were using the DeepSeek model for "free" on OpenRouter, they were the provider. To give a quick rundown: >Chute was initially totally free, for everyone. >They were also a provider for OpenRouter, free. >They bled money, so they decided to have a $5 one-time payment before you could access the models on their website. >They still bled money, so they switched to the subscription you posted. The problem was that they were still a free provider for OpenRouter, which meant you could pay $10 only once and have 1000 free requests a day with their models, a better offer than their current subscriptions. So they decided to heavily restrict the number of requests they allow at the same time if they come from OR. That's the error 429 you get, if too many users try at the same time, you can be dismissed. That doesn't happen if you subscribe to them directly, of course. So yeah, they are legit, and this will work if you want an easy solution without proxy bullshit or similar, and if you like DeepSeek, Kimi, etc. The VN may need a quick update to be compatible with them, but if you decide to use them, just post about it here and I'll look into making it work. It shouldn't be a big problem.

Then the question was about whether they would prefer to kiss a griffon or a dragon, and the end of the generation was a bit lame to be honest. To distract from this retardation, post what kind of poni story you're currently embroiled in, anon.Me, I'm getting fillydommed by vampire Golly as her minion and I just accidentally got some kind of ancient mare spirit tulpa stuck in my brain. Can't wait to see where this goes.
>>42504781Are you >>42502560? I'm restarting an RP session where Anon and Rarity hate each other, but are still called for a mission by the cutie mark together (it uses a stick figure for Anon). Then: - Adversity - Learning to work together - Learning to appreciate each other - Lovemaking with the AI maresIt's turbo classic and self-indulgent, but the dynamic works well.
>>42504781I've been playing with my own take on the "Twilight wakes up with a voice in her head telling her that Chrysalis is sexy" concept from the last bread, but focusing on Glimglam- the ai quickly decided that the voice was her romantic/sexual desires that she'd been unconsciously suppressing since she was a teenager emerging as a separate mental entity as a result of getting her cutie mark removed and later returned thing from the Season 5 opener. This has quickly escalated into 'oh sweet Celestia I have a type and it's villainous unicorns' (Starlight, Sunset, Trixie). With how frequently it just appears I'm starting to think it's somehow hidden inside of the defs somewhere because everyone uses other cards as rough blueprints and it somehow originated from the batpony card.>>42504781Right now I'm a changeling grub who just metamorphed and was given a first infiltration mission with my broodmates. And the random village I am to infiltrate is Hollow Shades in every single swipe on sonnet 3.7.

Then you can use the URL to connect to Tavern or even the VN. https://files.catbox.moe/phy1cf.PNG Since it's the official interface, I don't believe you can set up the temp and such, but it's not bad and you can still do NSFW with it easily. >>42505106Depending on what lens you view cutie marks through, they can be problematic... at least by modern human sensibilities. At face value, a cutie mark simply broadcasts your talent to the world. That doesn't sound all that bad, and in many cases it even is a positive source of identity. But if we follow that thread further, it functions as a kind of deterministic label. The mark doesn't just announce what you're good at, it implies that this is the thing you're meant to do, perhaps forever (See Season 3 Magical Mystery Cure. MA Larson writing strikes again.) That carries an unsettling undertone. It explicitly shows through song and dance that personal growth, reinvention, or even failure aren't part of the picture. What happens if you outgrow your mark? What if the talent you're "branded" with doesn't align with what you actually want from life? In a society like ours, where we value self discovery and the freedom to reinvent ourselves, such a rigid system would feel suffocating. (Imagine living in the Soviet Union and being assigned to your lifelong job at the steel mill, it's the same principle just instead of an institution it is by mythological force: it's identity being assigned externally, not chosen. Just as my cute hypocritical Starlight did kek) There's also the issue of social sorting. A cutie mark instantly stratifies ponies. You can tell at a glance who is destined for glamour, who is locked into hard labor, who will be admired, and who will be overlooked. That runs the risk of naturalizing inequality (heh). An almost castelike structure soft-enforced by something as nebulous as destiny. The fact that cutie marks (usually) appear so young, before a pony (usually) has had much chance to experiment with life, only deepens the discomfort. Where would the CMC end up in a world without Cutie Marks? Probably right there where they are now. From a human standpoint, at least, destiny is something to be forged not something to bow to, as "destiny" is in our case just a manmade construct in the first place. That said, viewed through a human sociological lens, it raises thorny questions about free will, identity, and how much of ourselves we're allowed to define versus how much is defined for us.
>>42505904I'd agree with you, if they were humans. But they're ponies. Different culture, different mindset, different thought process and proof of what could constitute destiny. With that in mind, Glimmer is effectively a flat-earther.

Silly coom story went long and now we're stuck in a Fertility Priestess training arc.
>>42505904>See Season 3 Magical Mystery CureFuck no. MMC takes a shit all over what cutie marks are actually about. Cutie marks are not your job or your hobby, they represent the 'thing' that makes you special. One can't be 'assigned' or 'branded' with a cutie mark one doesn't want because they only appear when the recipient realises that 'thing'. It is a magic that comes from WITHIN, when a pony makes that discovery about themselves. About who they want to be, what is important to them. It's more abstract than just liking painting a lot, so you get an Easel cutie mark. There can be no outgrowing a mark either. The equivilant would be someone having a mental breakdown and changing into a completelty different person. In regards to reinvention: if you knew deep down in your heart what makes you special, why would you want to just go and 'reinvent' yourself? And yes, I recognise most the shit above is kind of contradicted by the cutie marks earned on screen. Twilight didn't even know it was there until Celestia pointed it out, for example. But whatever, sonic rainboom magic fucking with shit I guess. There's that crap with Troubleshoes (and I suppose part of the CMC's schitick after their own CMs), too. Not 'understanding his mark' or some bullshit. Rubs me the wrong way.>that personal growth, reinvention, or even failure aren't part of the pictureI don't understand where you're getting this from. The whole point of the show is learing friendship lessons. Ponies fail, grow, and change all the time.

>>42506815>so should I set caching to a different number every time the number of messages in chat increasesno you do not need tothink this way - no matter how many messages you have in chat - 5 or 20 or 50 or 100 - if you set cachingAtDepth 2 - it will always be caching ALL but the last 2 messages in chat. when you write a new message in chat (bump from say 108 messages to 109) - a new cache will be send to OpenRouter including the newfound changes in chatwhat you need to do is to set cachingAtDepth to 2-8 depending on how your preset works. if you dont use absolute position for prompt (you or your preset) then cachingAtDepth 4 is fine in like 80% cases>should I not have a lorebook?you CAN have a lorebook. just insert the values AFTER the chat (just to be safe) - pay attenion, caching happened on CHAT level and before it. caching cannot be happening AFTER the chat - that's the location when all randomized elements can be put because content after chat cannot be cached by design. in prompt template look for "world info (before) and "world info (after)" - move them after "chat history">incredibly complicatedbecause NONE of this AI business was designed for story-writing or roleplaying in first placelots of technologies and features liked caching appeared sporadically on demandand software like SillyTavern were created without these features in mind and they were shoehorn laterdesu the caching system makes perfect sense - it looks convoluted when you are told about it, but if you play around for 2-4 hours with various setups and pay attention on what is going on - things click in place

Anyone familiar with chutes able to help me out? Got everything loaded and tried to start it up, and every single response so far has started with this "think" crap where the robit is reasoning to itself outloud in the rp. I made sure the "request model reasoning" option was unchecked and even tried multiple characters. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
>>42506904What model are you using, and what preset if any?I've had this happen but only when the "request model reasoning" was on or if a present I was using tried to mess with the thinking block from the AI and didn't close it right. If you check the links in the OP there's one that explains that.
>>42506907I'm using the cherrybox preset. I even reimported it to make sure it was fresh and not messed up. As for the model, I'm using R1 0528, but I also tried just plain R1. Should I be using a different model? Also, can someone suggest a preset other than cherrybox if it is messing it up? It's strange though, I didn't have this issue with openrouter, and I can't help but notice that the symbol in the message header is a question mark now whereas with openrouter it was some arrows or something. Might not have anything to do with it, dunno.
>>42506914R1 0528 should be fine, I've used that without this issue and I think in general it gives better responses than just R1. Haven't used the cherrybox preset though, and I'm using OpenRouter so not sure how using Chutes directly would change things. If it helps though, https://rentry.org/Sukino-Findings said this:>Why Is the AI’s Reasoning Mixed in with the Actual Responses?>This reasoning step shouldn't be visible to you unless you open the Thinking... window above the model's turn. If they aren't automatically separated, you probably need to change the Reasoning Formatting for your model.>In SillyTavern, to find this option on SillyTavern, click on the Advanced Formatting button in the top bar, and expand the Reasoning section to enable the Auto-Parse option and select the correct Reasoning Formatting. If you are unsure what to write, edit your model's last response to see the prefix and suffix it uses to enclose the thinking step. It's usually something like: <think></think> or <thinking></thinking>There's some other link in the OP or from the thread talking about presets that also explained how some presets might not close the thinking part properly and you have to edit it, but I couldn't find it quickly and it's 1AM for me. I'll probably push this version out tonight or tomorrow as long as I don't run into any new problems while testing. Most of it just fixes some of my errors that were pointed out in the last thread, since it would bother me if I didn't correct them. Also, in case you haven't noticed, Dinky is missing her tag in the character.json, which is needed for the AI to call her in the way I'm doing it. Not sure if it's a problem in your implementation, but I thought I'd let you know.

Don't know if it's the case here, but generally filter problems with Gemini are for stuff like foalcon and also some subjects like incest, from what I've heard. Other than that, Gemini isn't really filtered for NSFW, just telling it it's fine is often enough. For the more hardcore stuff, I remember this post, but I never tried it: https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/106289558/#106289927 This Russian preset is also supposed to work, but I never bothered either: https://rentry.org/minipopkaremix

I was trying to use it in work but anything higher than 10000t ruins it. and I do need big context because I am asking model across various items at once. hard to say how this limitation will apply into VN/RP and whether it will be that significant. but shitty context is a hard deal-breaker for me>>42508490thank you a lot! I will update this card this weekend! check it out later, and godspeed!>>42508921>social media platforms caused significant harm to childrenwhere are the parents in this equation?and yes I been hearing the same "we will regulate AI" for years. nothing will happen. remember that kid who killed himself after chatting with Game of Throne's character in character.ai? I remember. media don't. and nothing happened since. character.ai just added a new line in ToS that enforced "18+ mode" in their platform. if you dont confirm you are 18yo then 80% of character.ai doesn't work for you, model is cucked. and if you DO confirm you are 18yo but lied there will be no liability. that's it. AI companies have a huge lobby in USA government and until the rest of Trump's presidency nothing bad will happened to them. and by the time when(if) democrats take the Office it will be too late to regulate already (by this time USA will be in panic mode and ban anything chinese on their soil)

So both words remain possible. But we don't add "dreams" (13%) because 0.8 + 0.13 = 0.93 > 0.9. >tl;dr If you lower Top P, it reduces creativity/schizoness by cutting out the less common word choices. Presence penalty makes the model less likely to reuse words or phrases it has already mentioned. If you set it too high, the model can become schizo, since even common words like "the" would get penalized.>>42509850>LunakekWhat was the word?

>>42509549Okay anon, I am not 100% sure why, but pixi seems pretty weird. I got it to work with the default pixi, so for now deactivate your added prefill to help test. You don't need that for sonnet anyways. For reference, I've got my cache depth at 4. It started working for me when I switched my author note from system to user, and placed it at depth 4 or lower. With my own jb the caching starts at my 3rd message, with pixi for whatever reason it starts at my 5th message. For testing deactivate lorebooks and create yourself a new char, fill the initial message with a few thousand token to easily see if costs go down due to caching, then tell it "{{char}} always answers with a single number only, counting upwards." and start by sending a 1. It should answer with 2, then you send 3, and so on. Easy test. After every request refresh your openrouter activities and look for $ cost. For me caching started when I send a 9 with pixi (reminder no prefill), and at 5 with my own jb.After you get it running once, test it on a different character(remember author note changes), and only after that works reenable your prefill, or better yet dump it. Sonnet works fine without it. If you readd it you may need to up cache depth by +1.You could also look at the console and see where the "cache_control: [Object]" gets placed or get https://github.com/SillyTavern/Extension-PromptInspector

>>42510495Nevermind found it ._.
i'm working on AI-slop coding a first-hop proxythe intent would be having ST point to that one, which sends the request on to whatever proxy you're getting the model fromplanned features:ease of context logging - making a single log file per message/response, so you can easily check all the preset, lorebook entries etc that were active when trying to debug that kind of thing, without having to see all of ST's logs from all requestsauto-retry on the remote proxy failure, so you don't have to repeatedly swipe in ST, just wait until a response comes throughare there any other features that make sense?
>>42510535Maybe being able to redirect to particular sources depending on the model selected, if possible?
>>42510602oh! so something like you have a settings file with all the proxies that you have access toyou point ST at my first-hop one along with the desired modelit looks up what proxies have that model, and tries them all until one works, to account for proxies being up/down all the timeam I understanding correctly?
>>42510613Basically, yeah. Or in the case where I have a proxy with Gemini and one with Chorbo, being able to change the model with your first-hop proxy and have it redirect to the correct one.
>>42510535I did make myself such a proxy to easily change the token while using opus6, as in ST you would have to update every single connection you have on it. In my experience it was that way, at least. It's nothing more than a request forwarder with very segregated routing, you specify which endpoint you want to use, but it has a config file to add different proxies and a file where the "secrets" are.Not that it makes much sense for me now that the token lasts for a decade and that I'll soon end up using a custom client to RP with.If I had any suggestions on a feature for yours, it would be having the auto-retry be configurable. The delay between a failed request and the next attempt, so that the user can decide how much they want to insist on a response.
