This bill is model legislation that's being shared with state legislatures with republican majorities—if you don't know what that means it's basically like a mad libs where it has all the legal language written out for you and you just insert the name of your state and personalize it but it's the same copy as handed out on the other side of the country. It's concerning but you have to hope that AI companies will lobby hard enough to prevent this from passing by saying it will hinder economic growth.

Republicans don't like AI except for POTUS but because of the failed push to have the ten year moratorium on state AI law it made them push back hard and we're going to see the results of that soon. For people like us using AI for pony pony, things will get worse, prices will increase, access will become more scarce, and what we take for granted right now will be put into question. Of any AI community we are the most vulnerable because of how easily what we use AI for is to potential laws on "children's content" the same way videos about MLP on YouTube get automatically banished to YouTube Kids.

Models are mode-collapsed, which in practice means that the same input ideas generate more or less the same output ideas. The only novel thing the model has is your own input, because its own stereotypes are more or less fixed, models can't do random things. Having almost no input results in a really narrow combinatorial space, you're literally exploring nearly fixed model stereotypes.>>42904469That's also misleading. Token count itself might not matter much because the performance is highly content-dependent. But the complexity and the presence of distractors matters A LOT. You can easily fuck a bot up by adding a ton of irrelevant info that steals all attention, or just something tiny the model decides to be stubbornly autistic about. Too many few-shot examples, or improperly regularized examples, or having them too close to the RP course leads to overfitting and the model repeating them verbatim. In other words, everything has to be balanced due to a ton of considerations, token count is a red herring.You need info that actually matters to generate the reply, not just some random stuff. That's also why generating the card doesn't work - the generation just obfuscates that tiny amount of input you had.Essentially what matters is the kino idea and testing. The rest is technicalities.
