If you want to steal that key change it’s just going to the b6 which I find to be a very smooth change. You just play between what would be an Eb chord in standard tuning (D shape with the 1st fret barred. Just leave off the top string if you need to because you can get the third from the bass note) and a Bb chord (barre on 6th fret of E string)Use the E, D and G strings to pick that 123 patterns (move up the strings for the chords on higher strings) and then use the top strings of the chord to play a little melody figure.
