Music is kinda cringe if you think about it
Reading a book in total silence is a much more sophisticated and better pastime

I think the reason that as people get older they tend to listen to less music isn't just because they're more busy with responsibilities. It's also because music really is sort of cringe. It's like a way of letting other people know you experience a type of emotion. Feel angry? I like metal and rap. Feel sad? I like emo. Want to party? Here's pop. Once you grow up and can express your emotions more, things like literature, painting, sculpture become more appealing. Perhaps classical music as well

>autists when they realize music and art is about feeling things
>>
>>121551074
It is, cope.
>>
>>121551130
It's not just about feeling things. It's also about marketing to others you feel those things - which is cringe. I'd say it's got a more basic form of marketing of self than something like literature

>It's cringe to let others know you feel things
Touch grass, you are not a robot.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that needing music to market it to others because you lack the critical expression needed to do it on your own is very common with music fans. Especially young ones. This applies even to normies - look how many kids in high school can barely even express how they feel or why they feel that way, but are attached pathologically to genres like rap or emo. It's a social lubricant. And that's fine when that's all you have - but when you learn how to do that in other ways music comes off as more juvenile. Especially genres like pop, rock, dance music, rap, etc.

Feeling things is for homosexuals. Real men feel nothing and care about nothing.
>>
>>121551594
Well you want to able to "seem" like you feel things though, right? But otherwise I agree.

What did you see?

A fat green frog, drinking coff-ee
