I never understood it, but my personal favorite is Gaucho and I could never hear what made Aja so high regarded over everything else they've done. Steely Dan fans argue almost as much as Radiohead fans.
Remove the East St Louis faggotry and this album is near perfect. Any Major Dude is their best song.

Definitely more of a fan album, than an accessible album, and many tourists only care about Rikki, but Any Major Dude Will Tell You, Barrytown, and East St. Louis Toddle Loo are definitely worth sticking around for.
