im always late to these things
>>121595293nice songwriters, Frank, Cale, Beach Boys, Catherine Wheel, Stooges, Replacementsyou might like Rowland S. Howard>>121593242nice Lou Reed/industrial mixI recommend Test Dept. and Swell Maps

>>121597366You interpreted a ton of stuff in your chart, that's kinda cool. Had great memories with Soul Calibur II, such a good game.
>>121597366this faggot seriously added back his children's movies and cartoons? please neck yourself
>>121600351thanks, interesting mix, Earl and MIA are greatyou might find Kill the Vultures interesting>>121601529you're mentally ill, leave me alone.
>>121601622just kinda funny that you removed the kids movies and cartoons after i called you gay for them and now they're back
>>121602234I like some anime and I like some of these films because I grew up with them. Maybe I'll remove them again, idk. I just wanted to take the opportunity to include music, films, shows, and games I like, since the new topsters allows for that. It's pretty shitty that you'd tell someone to kill themselves for including things you don't like. I don't watch many kid's films, but I did when I was a kid, and I think the ones I kept there are neat.
>>121602272sure a guy posting the same chart of kids movies doesn't watch many of them. don't make yourself so easy to be made fun of
>>121602356I have watched all of them. I'm saying I don't continue, note that almost all the kids films I included are from the 90s and early 00s. >don't make yourself so easy to be made fun ofthis is moronic. It's better to be genuine than it is to worry about being made fun of. You seem like a really sad, weak individual.
>>121602507I don't know, I'd say a really sad, weak individual would have a bunch of kids movies in their charts
>>121602702I included 44 films, 4 of which are kids films. That's 9%.The fact you think someone should feel insecure about including a couple kids films is so ridiculous it makes me think you're mentally a 12 year old who's trying to prove how grown up and tough you are. The only people I can think of to compare you to is lolcows like Cyraxx and Jared Genesis.Cyraxx, is that you?
mentally a 12 year old is some great choice of words, wait... i forgot i wasn't the cartoon and kids movie poster
>>121603275that's right, you're the guy who's been obsessing over a couple old kid's movies because you want to prove to strangers on 4chan that you're a big boy.

I like their s/t and For Your Own Special Sweetheart, but I'd never actually listened to this one, it sounds good so fara lot of good indie stuff on your chart like Hum, Idaho, Unwound, Afghan Whigs, American Music Club, Fugazi, Die Kreuzen...I'd recommend Big Upshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiPV7T56iyU

>>12160825622 (about to be 23 next month anyway). I hate how he started doing trap. I'd genuinely rather another SB2H or WZRD than hear him do the same oversaturated rapid high hats with the autotune cranked to 1000.Kids see ghosts is his only great album post indicud.
Havent been on here since 2015, really crazy to see how much rap has caught on. Back in my day if you posted a chart that was more than 25% rap you'd get replies that just said 'nigger music'. And it had to be one of few dozen sanctioned art rap albums. I always liked rap tho, just observing.
>>121608329That still happens on any thread about a rap album or a rap artist.

recent (past few months ig)>>121607291based but tyler is so stale
@+@>>121593242<3
haven't used any of these threads in a whilei'm a mess right now, only been listening to todd edwards and vsnares mostly, so here's my favourites with a few new albums i listened to recently>>121591748i will also say you should branch out, hip hop is very sample heavy, and i like going through originals to see what the artist was listening to as well, that's how i got into steely dan through todd edwards>>121608158nice scarface album, reminds me i haven't listened to geto boys (or rap in general) in a while
>>121617780I think Nas is the GOAT as far as hip hop goes but I find illmatic overrated. The diary is my favorite hip hop album of 1994 and it ain't close. Production is a lot funkier and enjoyable and Scarface's super slow flow works so well for the gangster storytelling he excels at. It might not be close to as lyrically dense as illmatic is but its execution is much better. Scarface basically is a gangster grandpa reminiscing on the awful things he did when he was younger through the lens of diary entries.

Taking recs (12 months chart). >>121590305>>121591353Autechre is sick. SOAD is nice. I like Vinum Sabbathi but I can't listen to the whole album. Same with Maggot Brain. Luciferian Towers is nice but they have better albums I think. >>121591748I like Kanye and used to listen to Channel Orange, though it's been years since I've listened to the whole thing through. Don't care much about the rest, though. >>121592078The first side of Leaves Turn Inside You is nice, but I don't know if I've finished the second side a single time. I used to listen to Emergency & I quite often some eight years ago, but on the last five years I've listened to it once and it was rather nice, I've not been listening to a lot of alt rock recently but I'd like to find an album that hooked me like that one or OKC did. >>121592831>>121593242>>121608128Never heard any of those but Popol Vuh is great.>>121595293Jackson C. Frank was a poor fucking soul. His album was nice I guess. GY!BE is excellent. >>121597366Maybe I should listen to Atrocity Exhibition again, I remember it being great but I haven't heard it in some years. Sigur Rós is cool but I've heard that album many times to the point that I've got a bit sick of it.Don't really like Cohen or The XX, and Elliott Smith is boring. I really don't like Xiu Xiu.Great films, though.>>121600232Not a fan of Death Metal.>>121600351Weird chart, anon.>>121603339Used to listen to Safe as Milk from time to time. It's been some years since I've heard any Beefheart, or Can for that matter.>>121603479Tried to like Modest Mouse and Deftones, just couldn't do it. I just don't like almost any post-punk, to be fair. >>121604089Crystal Castles is nice, but this is my least favorite album from the three that matter. Don't like Kraftwerk.>>121607291+ Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada- LCD Soundsystem, Tyler.>>121608158+ Kanye, Kendrick, The Smiths- Deftones, Tame Impala (sounds boring I guess)>>121608212Souvlaki is great.

>>121625657>Vengeance for NothingBased. The only Slam Death Metal album I like.>behemoth is horribleThought so too at first, but Demigod really grew on me over time. But I liked The Satanist on the first listen. It's one of the modern classics and widely considered to be one of the greatest metal albums of the 2010s.>and i hate forteresse with a burning passionWhy? Seems like a strange band to have such strong negative feelings for.
so what's the most standard format people are using now that top 42's are dead? I saw a lot of 5x5's
>>121625761>Why? Seems like a strange band to have such strong negative feelings for.>three riffs on loop for 10 minutes>heh bro it's just an aesthetic choiceit's just lazy>>Vengeance for Nothing>Based. The only Slam Death Metal album I like.yep. the vocals are just insane
>>121625790>three riffs on loop for 10 minutesI think having basic riffs on loop is something that is extremely common in Black Metal, so in my view they don't really stand out that much because of this.
