What the FUCK are these lyrics
amnesiac isn't even their best album
They’re based
SHE CAN'T READ SHE CAN'T READ SHE CAN'T READ SHE'S BLACK
Somehow still better than At the Drive-In's lyrics
>>121801304It's "she can read she's bad"
weeeeellllll she was my catatonic sex toy love joy diver
SHE WAS SO TIGHT
>>121800212You took a lifetime with no cellmate

>>121801304Kek

>>121800212I like when he says babycakes
>>121800212Are they any worse than New Order lyrics?
>>121801333I don't believe you.
is there a reason mexicans love this band so much?
>>121802629I went to an Interpol concert in Seattle, and it was almost exclusively white.
>>121802629I'm mexican and I have no idea, odd thing is most people that like them haven't even listened to TOTBL apart from the singles, I find that funny for some reason.
>its different now that im poor and agingHow am i 32.
They're mostly complete gibberish nonsense, but he tucks away a great line in the background of Hands Away, in 'Outside desperation's knowing/Inside, your cover's always blown'other than that though, yeah. Not great. fun to sing!
>>121800212September 11th, 2001, was the main inspiration behind this work of art.It all makes sense when you realize Turn on the Bright Lights is a 9/11 album.
MY BEST FRIENDS A BUTCHER HE HAS SIXTY KNIVESHE CARRIES THEM ALONE AT NIGHT, AT LEAST HE TRIESOH LOOK IT STOPPED SNOWINGThis album is a literacy test for people who claim to like good lyricism.
>>121802629Mexico had this big alt scene back in the 00s, they are like a reminiscence from that era, thing is only Interpol really cares about Mexico I guess because nobody really gives a shit about them anymore, acts like Gorillaz, The Strokes or Arctic Monkeys are equally big in Mexico but those bands don't really care abot Mexico as much as interpol does
>>121803378those aren't even the lyrics retard
>>121803768i was recalling them from memory will listening to something else... my b... :(
fucking love the drums and bass so much on Obstacle 1
>>121800212they are all coded references to 9/11
>>121802629They're pretty popular among all Latin Americans. I saw them in Boston and Providence a few years ago and there were a good number of Hispanics at the shows, l'm assuming Guatamalans based off their accent. >>121805080The entire album's bass and drum tracks are fantastic. Obstacle 1 bass track is mint, but the bass on Untitled is amazing. The way how the bass and the snare drum are playing opposite of each as opposed to playing simultaneously is so basic, but genius. Carlos is an amazing bass player who knows how to carry a groove which is odd as he was a metalhead guitar player who was into bands like megadeth.
They are fine and SOUND GOOD, I don't see people complaining about rap problematic lyrics.
>>121800212They help if you’ve gotten heartbroken recently
goddamn this album is goodprops to interpol for putting out more then one good album before sliding into mediocrity
I feel like love in the kitchenWith the culinary eyeI think he's makin' something specialAnd I'm smart enough to try
>>121800212Shallow, pretentious, plastic, trust fund coke head jew college woman with long nose Leather jacket cigarette expensive frilly cocktailSex cologneWhorehouses with fine taste
The Saetia Interpol connection is crazy music lore
>>121802629Latin Americans love post punk and jangle pop, The Smiths are at least as big in Latin America as they are the UK
>>121800212Something to ask yourself is would Interpol's music be improved by good lyrics? I'm not so sure it would
>>121800212SOMETHING TO SAAAAAYSOMETHING TO DOOOOTHERES NOTHING TO SAAAAYWHEN THERES NOTHING TO DOOOO
