Lol JK this album has great basslines and is the ONLY good Gorillaz album besides their masterpiece: Laika Come Home.

it's embarrassingly bad, the mix is also fucking horrendous

19-2000 is the only passable song

Even if it’s dated I take early 00s trip-hop Gorillaz before whatever the fuck they’re supposed to be doing nowadays. Their last album sounded like uninspired synthpop slop

>>121808141

Really captures the underground music scene from the late 90s, feels like snapshot of music history now.

Gorrillaz is a project for little children. You are consuming media meant for children. If you like them in your adulthood that's honestly embarrassing

We had an assignment in high school to bring in our favorite song, which for me at the time was "Tomorrow Comes Today" off this album. I brought in my burned mix cd (which was the style at the time) only to discover my teacher had a shitty little radio like picrel to play our songs on.
"Oh no," I thought, knowing the thumping bass that melted all my feelings away would never sound anywhere near good out of those tiny speakers. I didn't even think about the relative lack of lyrics or how the song might not fit "the vibe" of the classroom. I didn't even have the good sense to switch up my selection to "Clint Eastwood", which some classmates might have recognized from the radio.
As the tinny music played, I buried my head in my elbow, and I begged the teacher to just skip me and go to the next kid, blaming a bad burned copy, and the song was quietly cut off after about a minute.
"Drops of Jupiter" by Train began to play, people started singing, and I withdrew a little more.

I still like it. =(

>>121810242
Gee, I wonder what kind of music this anon is into. You aren't mature for listening to music.
>>
>>121807887
You know that Gorillaz is basically a one man band by the same singer of Blur, right, anon? Tell me you aren't that stupid.
