What is happening to /mu/? I haven't been scrolling it recently but when I came back a few days ago I noticed tons of threads lasting weeks. Such behavior wasn't so regular back then. Since when /mu/ became a slow board? Is it really dying this time?
>>130591683The same users make the same threads about the same topics every single fucking day. I'm convinced this board may have 50 unique posters at the absolute most doing 99% of the work. The remaining anons all share a narrow scope of knowledge by their repeatedly posting the same topics ad nauseum as though new insights could be brought to them when they've been thoroughly exhausted. And then, there are the waifu spammers. Just look at the catalog:>bad faith OP reducing 2010s Indie to Stomp Clap Hey>waifu spam generals including wpop and kpop>rap is not music>talentless hacks Lou Reed OP>celebrity gossip>banal song references>low effort OPs>fake news baitSeriously, this is pathetic.
There's a bizarre, super determined (read: autistic) effort to kill boards by spamming dead threads for literal weeks on end. To delay the process even further, they'll wait till it's about to archive before bumping to page 10. Recent examples including but are not limited to>>Producing (Lain reaction image)>Comfy thread (that Linkin Park dyke)>Post art, get an album (all spam, no responses)>CALIFORNIA LOVE (the figure skating Olympic girl, no music connection at all)You might notice a trend here. This same trend happens on the uber dead /cgl/ where "Threads stay up for years!!"...because one loser refuses to let them die
>>130591701read up on the 1% rule. that's 150 people from the 15k in your chart.of those 150 people, then there's an exponential on how much each of those 150 posters actually post.the 20 most frequent posters probably post more than the other 130.this was common knowledge back in the day.and 4chan was even smaller back then.and it had an even larger cultural impact.fun times man.
Every board is either>overrun with indians and fedsor>dead except for bots posting the same threads every few days, autists who don't know how to live without posting in their threads every day and gooners/waifufags
The site is dying and this board is already deadAnd the catalog is all muddied with a thousand lonely samefag Emily Armstrong threadsAnd kpop blowsThe jannies are corruptAnd we're on so many better websites Where polfags don’t exist and the moderation cares about doing their easy job We're sliding down the catalog of this horrible machineAnd the machine is bleeding to death
>>130592033>we're on so many better websitesLike where?
>>130591701Don’t forget beatleshitters
i usually don't check the chan on the weekends and it's always sorta sad when i log back in on monday and half the threads are still up from the previous week with only a handful of further replies
