>works on a browser>has better sound quality than SpotifyHow? Is Spotify scamming us?
>>131721359it sounds worse than my foobar though
>>131721359i honestly just use youtube over spotify because of the variety. lots of obscure demos and ep's uploaded by people that will probably never be officially on streaming
Well I am of the understanding this is a bait thread, but whatever. What do you, yourself, do to make the soundquality better? Remember to switch on "Lossless" and set "Exclusive" audio-zone for your soundcard/DAC/Whatever you use, or do you just blindly "trust the quality"? If you do none of the things mentioned earlier in the post, they have same sound quality honest. But if you remember to do a few things yourself, a lot of the "painstaking piss poor sound quality of the "scammers" ", can actually be bumped up to CD-quality and also to 24-bit. So get the fuck out. Most consumers do not understand how to use half their services, sites or even software proper with their hardware, and it is annoying to see this kind of shit all the time. Much like people pretending they know how to use and "Utilise" FOOBAR but in essence use the player for OPUS (Youtube quality) and do not know how to set up a proper "signal path" and exclusive zone for their hardware in it. I pity the fools limited only to lossy-qualities without even knowing why they are limited to just lossy.
>>131722397It has nothing to do with audio quality settings. Spotify really sounds worse than a couple of years ago.
Doesn't Spotify do lossless audio now?
>>131721359spotify works on browseri dont have premium so i use spotify on browser with adblock. (dont tell them)
>>131723958You can use SpotX too.
>>131723601If you believ so, you believe so. But it is all about audio quality settings and not knowing what one does with them>>131723948Yes they do, and most people do not understand how to use it
>>131722397you live in eternal placebo
>>131721359nigger
>>131727570Whatever, this contributes nothing at all to the discussion.
>>131721359Just use tidal like all normal people >>131721359
>>131721359To me spotify sounds waaaay worse than youtube and apple music. It sounds granier. All of these services do a final process to normalize them and they all might do them differently so it makes sense they might sound slightly different. This shouldn't make people angry.
>>131721359Also>doesn't abuse the legal system to shut down modded versions of the app
>>131728035No one uses Tidal.
The artists are scamming us for mixing the tracks like shit
>>131729069Then Qobuz but its music library can be ass.Tidal is a decent middleground and they provide FLAC format
𝄞 𝅘𝅥𝅮 𝅘𝅥𝅯 𝅘𝅥𝅰 𝅘𝅥𝅱
>>131721359youtube music seems to prioritize the music video version over just the song itself when you aren't a premium user
>>131729441That shit's annoying
>>131721359I would've thought the 4chan elitists would be crumbling down at the single mention of a streaming service desuAlso Spotify is still big in 2026 ? I thought people agreed it was funding Israeli or something and dumped their ass
>>131729622too many innocent retards who dont get anything and misconstrue seething about streaming services to be right wing babbleit's easier to not argue with these retards. board's past dead, you're all dumb
>>131729441>>131729500I hate that and sometimes the quality is noticeably worse (at least for the kind of stuff I listen to). I stopped using Spotify years ago though when it flat-out wouldn't work half the time in my browser.
Spotify's discovery mode is far better though.
>>131729196I've been using a trial of quboz but won't stick with it because of library issues
>>131721359YouTube music is actually one of the worst. It's "good enough" for casual listening but tidal, quboz, and even Spotify and Apple music have download tiers that even the "high" setting in yt music can't match. Having said that, I use yt music.
