Pornhub is set to block access to the site starting January 1st, to Florida residents due to security risks brought on by the newly enshrined Florida legislation banning Minors from adult sites.

Rather then implement the required security checks, requiring age verification through ID, Pornhub has instead opted to simply block the state's residents from accessing it instead, decrying the severe security risk brought on by the collection of this much personal data.

Pornhub is shit anyway. But also I'd never want to give my ID to some random website.
>>
>>1369484
Honestly that's the real concern. If they're allowed to make porn sites ask for ID, chances are it's eventually gonna spread to "things that could have porn", to "things that might have NSFW", to "things that can be considered adult in any way".
>>
>>1369483
Do people not realize there are other porn sites out there
>>
>>1369486

You are so right smart fren. I taught this was supposed to America - USA: land of the freen and home of the brave!

Those florida state government republicans have gone against the founding princples of this country by enacting those overreaching ID laws, they have gone against the freedom of the people! They must be removed from power for the good of the common people of America!

In fact, al ID checking laws should be repealed, as well as all excessive security checks in all airports or any government establishments.

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserves neither!” - Benjamin Franklin

Here's the thing with checking IDs in person though, when I get a drink at a bar and the bartender asks for my ID, that's a one and done thing. The bartender doesn't scan my card and save it to a database to remember me by. Same reason I prefer to pay with cash instead of card. I know my tiny little data point doesn't really matter too much, but I still prefer to not just let my data be out there when it's not inconvenient to do so.

>The bartender doesn't scan my card and save it to a database to remember me by
Many establishments like bars and liquor stores do in fact scan your license to ensure it's valid.

I go to a dispensary that scans my ID and also uses it to track rewards points for purchases.

Welcome to the future- kids shouldn't have free access to porn. Cope.
>>
>>1369512
Its been a while since I've been carded. Maybe I should just carry around my passport as an ID. We really need some data protection laws though.
>>
>>1369483
I'm an old fart with hard drives full of shit from whennit was easy to download but I just assumed anyone who goes to pornhub or something similar uses a VPN anyways.
>>
>>1369517
Sadly you are mistaken. Some younger people don't even know how to navigate a file path in explorer.
>>
>>1369483
This is probably for the best and Florida will only benefit from this
>>
Porn is probably the closest thing to a post scarcity economy that currently exists. Do they really blocking a single site is going to make any kind of difference?
>>
>>1369518
Lol sucks for horny retards in Florida I guess.
>>
>>1369524
Thus move us good for Fla. Man(kid), as they will have to learn about the internet and proxies and tor onion sites and the dark web. I went to the dark web as a lark, and once you go black, you truly can never go back.
>>
>>1369512
See, here's the problem anon; any system that scans your ID is LEGALLY REQUIRED to be temporary. They cannot retain your information unless you consent to them using it for a rewards program or the like. I don't trust any random porn site to be able to ensure that information is not retained and sent elsewhere.

Also, this is a massive privacy invasion.
>>
>>1369533
This move is good for Fla. man. I'm gonna turn off autocorrect.
>>
All they have to do is stop showing porn to children
>>
>>1369506
Shut the fuck up faggot tranny. You had no problem with vaccination cards. You only care now because you can't groom
>>
>>1369534
>any system that scans your ID is LEGALLY REQUIRED to be temporary
K, so then whats the problem? The same regulation would be placed on porn sites.

> I don't trust any random porn site to be able to ensure that information is not retained and sent elsewhere.
Then why are you visiting the porn sites in the first place? You think they're not collecting info on you anyway?
>inb4 "it's anonymous"
Lelno, no such thing. You leave a fingerprint everywhere you go online, especially on porn sites, and a dedicated enough actor can trace that back to you even without for personal ID info.

>Also, this is a massive privacy invasion.
No, it's not anymore than having to show your ID to access any other controlled substance.
>>
>>1369544
>No, it's not anymore than having to show your ID to access any other controlled substance.
Except that's still not how this law works. This would require an ID for ANY site where 1/3rd of the content is considered "obscene". Which is a very fucking fragile definition that can include:
>Educational programs that include sex ed
>Art sharing sites that allow for nudity
>Any forum where people can post nsfw images

And it's still a massive privacy invasion for the government to be able to control if you can watch legal content within the privacy of your own home.
>>
>>1369611
>And it's still a massive privacy invasion for the government to be able to control if you can watch legal content within the privacy of your own home.
Bro it's already illegal to share pornographic content with a minor even in the privacy of a home
>>
>>1369612
Bro where did I argue the issue was "oh no I can't show porn to kids!"?

The issue is requiring a government ID to be sent to a third party in order to view things on your own computer in your own home. This is like if you had to submit a scan of your ID to drink in your own house.
>>
I would love it if all porn is banned. This is the degeneracy that destroys society. Draft coomers for the battlefields. War will turn them into real men.
>>
>>1369635
nigga shut up
>>
>>1369635
> War-loving genocidal psychopath

Yo buddy, how about you "lead by example" and serve in the fronltine of real war battlefield first!

Go die first for your manhood! LOL.

Otherwise you are just an all-talk-no-action hypocrites, and everything you said deserved to be ignored.
>>
Why do people go to pornhub when there's a billion websites for porn, including 4chan.
>>
>>1369692
Pornhub, XHamster, and other sites are good for if you want to sample something before torrenting.
>>
>>1369635
Did you go to war, is that where you got that massive brain damage and antisocial personality?
>>
>>1369483
>Pornhub decries the severe security risk brought on by the collection of this much personal data.
meanwhile in the states that banned pornhub, it shills device-based ID which is a severe security risk brought on by the collection of an insane amount of personal data.

the jew plays both sides, and cries out as it strikes you.
>>
>>1369761
jews pooped my pants too bro, holy shit
>>
>>1369635
Buddy, the military is full of coomers already, what the fuck are you on about?
>>
>>1369703
>>1369645
>>1369636
you're just gooners. it'll be okay, calm down your addiction. trump is gonna fix it.
>>
>>1369484
This looks more like a designed catch-22 for the porn sites. Requiring that they "verify" and compile data on every user that tries to use the website opens them up to a lot of liability. What happens when the data breeches occur? The websites take a huge financial penalty, whether it's from government fines or private lawsuits.

Does anyone really think this is the best way to protect children, assuming that's the goal? I don't think so. Not to mention this is absolutely selective enforcement, which is supposed to be illegal in itself.
>>
>>1369770
It's what we gotta do until we can get free speech reinterpreted to not protect degenerate speech.
>>
>>1369774
>muh nazi buzzwords
Who is supposed to take this seriously?
>>
>>1369774
>Ya, Free* Speech!
>*with exceptions
>>
>>1369768
you're a right wing shill on a dead board, you've never been okay
>>
>>1369774
You can't fix the law by ignoring it when it's convenient, friend.

I don't think this is the way.
>>
>>1369807
It's not ignoring, it's merely reinterpreting it. That's how we got around abortion. Besides, if Trump wants to ignore some of the dumber laws, I'm all for it.
>>
>>1369808
>That's how we got around abortion.
oh so you're admitting abortion is constitutional?

> if Trump wants to ignore some of the dumber laws
Yeah, like the 2nd amendment. In my eyes that's a dumb law, and our opinions have the same amount of weight. So let's drop that one too.

See the flaw with this logic?
>>
>>1369809
What are you talking about? Free speech is not porn/lies. Free speech is limited, you can't incite a panic or levy threats (in fact, there was a woman in Florida who was arrested recently for yelling the terrorist's 3Ds at a insurance rep). Whereas the 2nd Amendment is clear-cut SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. There is literally no limit to it, unlike speech. We'll have true free speech in this country when Trump gets control. I can go in front of the White House and show my support for Trump and you can do the same thing. You will be free to do that. We'll all have the same speech rights.
>>
>>1369812
>There is literally no limit to it
there's many limitations to possessing a gun.
>>
>>1369813
Not in the constitution.
>>
>>1369821
What are amendments.
>>
>>1369501
Normies are even more retarded than that. Simple as.
>>
>>1369812
>SHALL
>MAKE
>NO
>LAW
>>
>>1369823
What amendment are you attempting to refer to?
>>
>>1369483
last time i paid for porno was in 2014, it was $50 for a girls in stockings/nylon, my fetish, but i never got around to looking at it as my car broke down & i spent the summer fixing it myself. waste of $$
>>
>>1369483
Ha good

I hope all states ban this trash
In the name of Christ Jesus of Nazareth

BAN ALL PORNOGRAPHY IN AMERICA!

Amen
>>
>>1369616
So go buy Playboys at the gas station. No one is forcing you to get your porn online. You're CHOOSING to do so, and you're CHOOSING to get internet carded.

You are bawling your eyes out over a non issue.
>>
Lmao

BAN ALL OF THE PORNO!
