https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/thousands-attend-bernie-sanders-aoc-rally-denver-push-progressive-change/An estimated 34,000 people gathered Friday evening at Civic Center Park in Denver to hear Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York push a number of progressive policies.Just hours later, they spoke before a crowd of about 11,000 at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. The two stops for the progressive leaders in Colorado were part of what they dubbed the "Fighting Oligarchy Tour." "They want to know if the people of America are going to stand up to Trumpism, oligarchy," Sanders said to a cheering crowd. The tour is part of an effort by Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez to push back against President Trump and the influence that they say billionaires have over American politics."Musk is not our Congress. Act lawfully, not awfully," said Nancy Larsen, a rally attendee who feels the federal government is prioritizing corporate interests over ordinary Americans. "I feel like we're in kind of a reverse Robin Hood situation right now, where we're taking from the poor and disadvantaged and giving more money to the rich."
Thousands of attendees echoed concerns that the government is increasingly influenced by billionaires and large corporations.Parents of Girl Scouts Nina and Indie said they viewed the rally as an educational opportunity."We like them to be aware of what's happening in the world," their mother Jennifer Walters said. The crowd also cheered for union leaders representing construction, grocery, and education workers, as attendees voiced frustration over economic inequality."Republicans, Democrats -- all Americans are feeling this," said Chris Martinez, who attended the rally.Attendees from the earlier rally in Greeley also expressed dissatisfaction with both major political parties.Ocasio-Cortez also emphasized that their fight is not just against Republicans, urging Democrats to push harder for progressive policies. Some Republicans in Colorado criticized Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders and their message."Congressman Evans is fighting for lower costs, safer communities, and making the American Dream possible for all Coloradans," a spokeswoman for Republican Rep. Gabe Evans, whose district includes Greeley, said in a statement. "His commonsense approach stands in stark contrast to AOC and Bernie Sanders' extreme, anti-oil and gas rhetoric.""If Democrats want to bring a couple of avowed socialists to Weld County to talk about their Green New Deal scams that will crush Colorado oil & gas jobs, I say go for it," Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert said in a statement. "The contrast between them and Republicans like Gabe Evans who will stand up for energy producers, law enforcement officers, and small business owners couldn't be clearer."Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders say they'll continue advocating for a nation where all Americans can thrive."The world is watching," Sanders said.
>>1394786Hopefully next round of primaries the DNC won't have it rigged so that they lose
>>1394788I hate it when I agree with you but you're right this time. It would go a long way toward restoring trust in the party leadership if the DNC got rid of the archaic superdelegate primary system they've had for the last half-century.
>>1394788A shame Bernie is too old now.
>>1394786bernie's tanking his rep by pairing up with AOC, she's so out of touch she went after the war veteran who stopped a druggie from stabbing people on the subway. Even if i like Bernie and would probably prefer him over trump the moment he associated with that type of person he's disqualified.>>1394787>voiced frustration over economic inequality.funny how they didn't say anything while biden was in office, with trump at least egg prices have gone down and he's considering a stimulus cheque from the doge cost cutting measures.
>>1394799>Even if I like Bernie>with trump at leastlol
Sanders has turned into another corporate dick sucking fascist. AOC is just retarded and she has no appeal outside of California
>>1394802>would probably prefer him over trumpare you illiterate or just another subhuman? also that second part was comparing him to biden you retard
>>1394804https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOS5-n7dyj4
>>1394803AOC is from New York City. You are one of the people that tRump likes, an uneducated person AKA a chump AKA a rube AKA a C.H.U.D.
>>1394799>moment he associated with that type of person he's disqualified.Bernie don't want to be associated with your type of person, an uneducated type person that tRump likes. The murdered Subway mentally ill person wasn't harming anyone just yelling. SNo flakes like you and that Subway murderer best stay out of NYC, we too scary for you.
>>1394821It's not an american, so if it comes to NYC, it will have to be as an international tourist and Russians don't have that much money to be international tourists
>>1394821I hope the next subway druggie armed with a stabby has his way with you. >>1394822its a homeless person not an illegal. trump isn't planning to get rid of them.
>>1394820You're obviously an ESL that doesn't understand the English language
>>1394786doesn't matter. Bernie drew massive crowds in 2016 and was winning the primaries but the DNC ensured he would lose the caucuses and the nomination.Sure, they need them NOW when an actual tyrant is wrecking the country, but as soon as King Don is gone, they will toss them in the trash again.
>In DenverSo just more preaching to the choir. How meaningless
I'd like to see the dems try to run AOC in 2028. Either her or Newsom.
I'm ready for the justice democrat to tear everything up. It's been fun hating on socialism, but they at least they aren't evil..
>massive crowd of Democrats turn out in Democrat strongholdWow it's nothing
>>1394886the only one she'd have a chance of beating is Kamala and Clinton would be hilarious
>>1394786As i suspected the Dems just move around the same group of paid “protesters”GPS DATA EXPOSES ASTROTURFING AT DENVER BERNIE-AOC RALLYThat massive Bernie Sanders and AOC rally in Denver? Turns out it wasn’t as “grassroots” as advertised.Despite claims of 34,000 attendees, GPS data analysis reveals the real number was closer to 20,000—still big, but not record-breaking. More revealing? A whopping 84% of those devices had shown up at nine or more other protests, including Antifa/BLM events, pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian demonstrations, and Kamala Harris campaign stops. Over 30% had attended twenty or more.Data analysts say the crowd was anything but organic—the majority were tied to activist networks like Disruption Project, Indivisible, Democratic Socialists of America, Rise & Resist, and Troublemakers—all reportedly funded by ActBlue and some receiving backing via USAID.Optics over authenticity. The playbook hasn’t changed—just the targets.
