PHOENIX — The Arizona State Senate has passed legislation that would rename the Loop 202 freeway after Charlie Kirk, the late founder of Turning Point USA, who was killed in September.

SB 1010 now moves to the Arizona House, where Republicans also hold a majority. If passed there, it would go to Governor Katie Hobbs' desk for final approval.

The Loop 202 is a stretch of freeway that circles much of the Phoenix metro area. The proposed legislation would direct the Arizona Department of Transportation to designate the highway as the "Charlie Kirk Highway" in honor of the conservative speaker who was shot and killed while hosting an event at Utah Valley University in September.

The bill includes language stating the new name would not override any existing designations and is not expected to impact the state's general fund.
>>
>>1490821
This is kinda funny. Normally nobody would care, but part of the 202 goes through hyper-leftist territory like Tempe, downtown Phoenix, etc. I can only imagine how many purple-haired Los Angeles transplant faggots are going to be outraged at this.
>>
>>1490821
Hilarious idea I hope they do it, the 202 is ass too so you can sit in traffic all day and think about Charlie
>>
>>1490821
His wife seems like the type to have trademarked his name. I hope they budgeted for royalties, that "memorial" extravaganza ain't paying for itself.
>>
>>1490821
Literally nobody cares about him anymore and they’re immortalizing him while his wife is getting dicked and showered with cash
>>
>>1490830
Frankly I don't think they even cared that much about him them. Certainly not the vultures who swooped in and picked whatever legacy he might have had clean before his body was even cold. They all kept using the exact same wording online when pretending "the left" were disco dancing to remixes of his assassination too.
>>
>>1490831
>when pretending "the left" were disco dancing to remixes of his assassination too.
Are you really going to take the stance that lefties weren't dancing on tiktok over his murder?
>>
>>1490832
I'm going to take the stance that you performatively rending your clothes and gnashing your teeth in accordance with the script while his widow dressed up as a couch to attract Vance was tacky as hell, and that you pretending it doesn't happen for all political violence was also really dumb.
>>
>>1490833
First off, you can go fuck yourself. Second, it's not even disputable that "the left" were celebrating like a bunch of jackasses, laughing about his murder, vandalizing memorials - including the one in Phoenix (dumb kid got his ass beat for it at least), accusing him of everything possible, and even AOC couldn't allow congress to have a lousy moment of silence for his death like they did with Floyd. Third, you can call it a script all you want. If his death accomplished anything it made it very clear that the right and left will NEVER get along. You people want us dead. So all of you can fuck off.
>>
>>1490834
Beat for fucking beat scripted. Put your manager on, he needs to see this sloppy work.

The fact that this is being done not to honor him, but to piss people off as >>1490822

You mean like how some right winger just tried to burn down the memorial to Renee Good, the woman who was murdered by ICE and then smeared by the right wing propaganda machine?

Main reason why I wanted war with Greenland and Canada was to see the left twist itself into a million knots with rage. Don't care if it were necessary or not. 1) I didn't see a bunch of Republicans hitting the griddy on tiktok over her death
and
2) she wasn't murdered. It was a legally justified shooting. Saying she did something wrong that led to her shooting is not the same as cheering for it - and I fucking love how you subhuman leftists are crying about it now when you were so happy Kirk died. Get fucked.

May we see non forged medical records showing those internal injuries that happen when you walk up to car with your gun ready and murder the driver?
>>
>>1490858

1. DHS policy mandates officers to avoid entering the path of moving or running vehicles for safety reasons. Johnathan Ross violated this policy by placing himself in front of and adjacent to Good's vehicle and in the line of danger.
2. DHS policy mandates officers to not fire on the driver of a vehicle for the extremely obvious safety concern of creating an out-of-control vehicle on a collision course with whatever is in front of it. Attempting to shoot the driver of a vehicle does not make the situation safer, it makes it more dangerous for everyone present.
3. The moment Ross fired the 2nd and 3rd shots when he was clearly out of the path of the vehicle escalated his crime from manslaughter to murder. There is no plausible argument to be made for self-defense when the shots were fired after Ross left the path of the vehicle, and he is clearly visible firing said shots while out of the path of the vehicle from multiple video angles. The independent autopsy (the one the family had to pay for since the federal government refuses to comply with evidence disclosure so they can hide their murder) found that Good was likely alive and could be saved after the first shot; the 2nd and 3rd shots were murder, arguably premeditated murder since Ross switched his phone holding hand before the situation had escalated in order to access his gun more easily.
4. Ross had previously been in an accident similar to this, wherein if we assume the most elementary level of competence from his institution he would have received training thereafter to avoid it happening again. Ross was also a 9-year veteran of the force at the time; there is no excuse to be made for him lacking experience.

Not only is Johnathan Ross guilty of murder, but every ICE agent present on the scene became accomplices to a conspiracy to commit murder when they refused to apply medical aid to Good after the shooting and denied the ability for on-site medical professionals to apply aid.
>>
>>1490872
Also don't forget that before murdering Good, Ross was holding his phone with his dominate hand, but before approaching Good's car and murdering her, he inexplicably moved his phone from his right, to left hand so he could grab his gun.
This points to premeditation since there is no reason to do this unless he had intent to murder Good.

Rightist terrorists don't know about the fact that there isn't a gap between "punch" and "line" when it's just one word: "punchline". Americans know this

>>
>>1490872
1 and 2, show me this DHS policy. And even if he did "violate the policy", that's not a law he broke. It's an administrative punishment at best.
3. Those shots were taken in less than a second. I love how anti-gun lefties - the same leftists that are so hardcore about revolution now and calling right-wingers "bootlickers" for not fighting the government - don't know SHIT about firearms and defensive shootings. Cops aren't trained to fire only one shot and then reassess.
4. This actually helps Ross's case because you retards have a common theme of trying to run ICE officers over.

>>1490875
>Also don't forget that before murdering Good, Ross was holding his phone with his dominate hand, but before approaching Good's car and murdering her, he inexplicably moved his phone from his right, to left hand so he could grab his gun.
While she was in the process of evading police, which is a felony.

How does one know when a subhuman rightard is lying?
A: It exists
>>
>>1490908
Ah semantics. How cute.

Federal agents gave her a lawful command to get out of the car. Instead of complying, she decided to flee the officers and, in doing so, ran into an agent.

Now are you going to be stupid enough to make the 10,000th "they can't detain people" argument?
>>
>>1490910
So you admit it wasn't the police.
Why did you lie?
>>
>>1490914
By definition, ICE are police. They're just not local police. You have to play these semantic games because you can't justify Good running into an officer with her car.

a
: the department of government concerned primarily with maintenance of public order, safety, and health and enforcement of laws and possessing executive, judicial, and legislative powers
b
: the department of government charged with prevention, detection, and prosecution of public nuisances and crimes

So when you get done playing this silly game, let me know how the shooting of Good wasn't justified when she hit an officer with her car.
>>
>>1490918
Not the same, so why did you lie?
>Walk in front of the car with your gun on hand while she was slowly turning away
Amazing how you'll look at the footage and lie still, but given how many times ICE has lied already about the people they've shot and murdered, that's expected.
>>
>>1490919
>>Walk in front of the car with your gun on hand while she was slowly turning away
>while she was slowly turning away
So you recognize that she was in motion and not complying with the officers who told her to get out of the car? That's why his gun was out. Keep crying, it wasn't murder.

You're a disingenuous retard masquerading as someone willing to find common ground and a disgrace to the shared humanity that you suggest we can find in this situation. It's adorable that you thought you can just ignore the fact that ICE prevented Good from receiving medical aid because you don't have a refutation of it, but it's apparent that there's no point in engaging in discourse with you when you're just going to ignore the parts that you don't have a good answer for and give "witty" half-answers the rest of the time.

You should be ashamed of yourself, but I think that's such a foreign concept to you that your belligerence and inability to discuss this situation like a fucking grownup and not a neckbeard-combing mongoloid dipshit are badges of pride rather than the disgusting embarassments that the rest of the world sees them as.

Enjoy mourning your neck piercing enthusiast Kirk and whatever the next right wing dipshit that crawls out of a nearby sewer drain and takes human form that you find to worship after him. Maybe they'll also get murdered at a school via gunfire after spending their careers stepping over the corpses of innocent children murdered at school via gunfire and you'll get a fun reminder of what "irony" means.

In the United States, tens of thousands of people die in auto accidents each year. Many are dying each day.
If we lowered the speed limit to 8 miles per hour, auto fatalities would drop dramatically. Yet you don't say people who oppose a national 8 mile per hour speed limit spend their careers stepping over the corpses of innocent children who died in auto accidents which never had to happen, and wouldn't have happened if we had common sense speed control.
>>
>>1490881
Carrying a firearm while instigating conflict with armed law enforcement means the odds of you getting shot skyrocket. This is the same whether you were originally protesting or robbing a liquor store; the pretense is irrelevant. Whether I agree or disagree with either side's political philosophy or support ICE or not is completely irrelevant here. Whether I agree with the law or not is irrelevant. Objectively, they did not do anything outside of the norm, they are not setting some new legal precedent, and no one should be surprised by the outcome. Maybe you like it, maybe you dislike it, that's fine, but no one should be surprised, shocked, confused, etc.

Obama carried out far more deportations than Trump has, but no one on either side really gave it any attention then. The media didn't either. Why? Both sides, zoom out and look at the longer timeline, how the atmosphere and narrative shifted, who could gain from it, who's been in a position to orchestrate this, and where it likely indicates we are headed.

The leaders on the left are intentionally trying to escalate and sensationalizing this because they want to create justification for martial law. Both sides gain. The right uses it now the left uses the precedent and normalization to continue/reinstate it when they back into power... which is really just a shift of rhetoric and posturing, not a change in long term direction. It's always two steps forward one step back. One party pushes certain highly public issues two steps forward, the other party dials it one step back to keep up appearances, and they repeat this little script over and over.

Who set the legal precedent for federal law enforcement to enter homes without a warrant and detain citizens indefinitely without trial or any charges? That was Obama with the 2012 NDAA, now Trump is using it with ICE, the "left" will use it next. They both ultimately steer the country towards roughly the same long term agenda.

Transportation is essential, gun ownership isn't, your metaphor shits the bed in less than a sentence. Why are you people like this? Like, not just the terrible points of view you hold, that I expect, but the malformed warp of your internal logic such that you thought that was a good argument is just sad.
>>
>>1491088
>gun ownership isn't
NTA, fuck you. Gun ownership is a right. Transportation by automobile isn't.
>>
>>1491088
There is a right to bear arms in the constitution, there is no right to automobile ownership.
>>
>>1491090
Okay. So that's another reason the metaphor doesn't work? The point stands that transportation is essential to the vast majority of people's lives on a daily basis, and gun ownership isn't, even if the constitution say you can own 'arms'. Comparing something that would disrupt society on a massive scale, changing the speed limit to 8mps, to something that wouldn't even effect the majority of people and could save the lives of a handful, implementation of gun control policies that have proven effective in other countries, is a shit, dead in the water metaphor. It's the kind of thing that sounds clever until you examine it, the kind of thing an egotistical moron would come up with and peacock around to show off how smart they think they are, even though it's clear evidence of the opposite.
>>
>>1491113
>The point stands that transportation is essential to the vast majority of people's lives on a daily basis, and gun ownership isn't, even if the constitution say you can own 'arms'.
Driving comes with a litany of rules and regulations that must be followed in order to safely travel on the road. Firearm ownership isn't inherently dangerous, unlike driving a car.
Incidentally, all of the retards crying about Renee Good seemingly don't understand that all drivers are supposed to yield to pedestrians, regardless if they're blocking a road or not.
>to something that wouldn't even effect the majority of people and could save the lives of a handful, implementation of gun control policies that have proven effective in other countries
Leftists are committing terrorist attacks all across America because they're mad at ICE. There may unironically be a time when Trump calls upon the militia to put down a rebellion, which is another reason why private firearm ownership is important.
>>
>>1491113
>Maybe they'll also get murdered at a school via gunfire after spending their careers stepping over the corpses of innocent children murdered at school via gunfire and you'll get a fun reminder of what "irony" means.
If we lowered the speed limit to 8 miles per hour, auto fatalities would drop dramatically. People who oppose a national 8 mile per hour speed limit spend their careers stepping over the corpses of innocent children who died in auto accidents.
>Motor-vehicle (auto) fatalities in the U.S.: 40,901 people died in 2023.
>Firearm fatalities in the U.S. (2023): about 19,428.
The people who oppose auto control have to crawl over twice as many corpses as those who oppose gun control
>>
>>1491113
>The point stands that transportation is essential to the vast majority of people's lives on a daily basis, and gun ownership isn't
NTA again, you're wrong - again - you fucking retard. Gun ownership is essential to protect lives, especially when leftists like you are constantly attacking people for not having an opinion about ICE.
>and could save the lives of a handful, implementation of gun control policies
That never fucking work, which is why 94% of mass shootings occur inside gun free zones.

The irony in all this is you're complaining about dogshit metaphors when you used an example of a location commonly targeted by active shooters because they know damn well that NOBODY IN THESE PLACES IS ARMED! Dumb fuck. Also you're a piece of shit for suggesting that conservatives who don't agree with you about the Renee Good shooting should have their children murdered. Typical leftist behavior like we've already seen ITT. This is what you do when you can't counter-argue.
>>
>>1491113
It got real quiet now.
>>
>>1491125
Alex Pretti's death proves the 2nd amendment is already dead. If federal law enforcement can use you having a gun in public as grounds to kill you, you don't actually have a right to bear arms.
>>
>>1491287
It seems like there were plenty of other people at that event who were armed, and survived the day
It seems like those other people with guns didn't start fights with law enforcement
>>
>>1491287
I don't know what to laugh at more: the idea that the left suddenly gives a fuck about the 2nd amendment (pretending anyways) or that they think the 2nd amendment gave you the ability to break the law with impunity.
