The angry front end design, because cars can't have "happy" faces anymore for some retarded reason.
>>
>>27585617
this is a really retarded gripe that people have imo

Disregard, I thought op's was the GR

no, the aggressive front styling on any and every car is the shittiest trend this decade

then you are incredibly autistic

Honda sold an egg shaped hatchback with a 2.0 NA motor that made 160hp twenty years ago, how did Toyota take two decades to copy their homework?

I'd consider kmsing myself if forced to drive this daily

What the fuck is Trannyverse?
>>
>>27585674
You've got that backwards. Not seeing faces in inanimate objects (pareidolia) is a trait of autism.

i would not

I'm waiting for the bedliner trunk lid, I know it's coming.

I hate that the hatchback only comes with the fugly grill of the lower trims. I'd be more inclined to consider the corolla hatch if it had the same grill the SE sedan gets.
>>
>look at Corolla's 8 months ago
>Hatch has less useable cargo room than the sedan
How do engineers do it?
>>
>>27586405
I think the hatchback's slightly shorter. It doesn't exactly make good use of its size, though. Some euroboxes 1 size class smaller than it have more trunk space and better rear seats.
The 2.0 L Corolla hybrids with a 12 V battery under the trunk floor have less usable cargo volume than some city cars.

Kill engineers. Behead engineers. Roundhouse kick a engineers into the concrete. Crucify filthy engineers. Defecate in a engineers food. Launch engineers into the sun. Stir fry engineers in a wok. Toss engineers into active volcanoes. Urinate into a engineers gas tank. Judo throw engineers into a wood chipper. Twist engineers heads off. Report engineers to the IRS. Karate chop engineers in half.

I really want to like these, but the sedan looks much better to me. The C pillar is so massive and such a limit to visibility. The color options are also fucked with higher trims having fewer options. And the higher trims are missing features you'd expect like ventilated seats.
>>
>>27586441
I have only driven the sedan though and not the hatch so these are just my outside observations.

>How does Toyota do it?
Easy. They build a reasonable looking hatch and equip it with a feeble engine and a boring CVT. Here's something better.
>>
>>27587787
Love me Mazda but I don't dig these styles. It's like it doesn't know if it wants to be a hatchback or a sedan

>>
>>27587895
They should just make the sedan a liftback.
I get that the tiny rear seats in these Japanese cars are probably meant to carry a pet midget who can crawl into the sedan's tiny trunk hatch and retrieve items from there, but we could avoid all of that if the hatch would extend all the way to the roof.
>>
>>27587787
>>27586191

Nobody wants to drive pero kaka. The sooner Mazda realizes this, the sooner they can fix this shit.

are the new Manual Corollas any good?
I'm getting my union Max out soon($60hr) and want to replace my 20+yr old Rolla that's falling apart
>>
>>27589708
Yeah, fine. Girl I know has one, been in the car but not driven it. She had to special order it though, took about three months to arrive in Oz.
>>
>>27589708
The GRs you mean? They dropped the manual option in the SE/XSE after 2023. And yes, any Corolla is a good car. They're one of the most reliable vehicles on the road.
>>
>>27585594
Why the fuck does a daily driver need stupid fucking tires like that? Same with the nog rims. Why is there 6'' between the caliper and the rim? Fucking cringe.
>>
>>27585756
You people are so easily triggered
>>
>>27589923
By fires? Yeah, they can be life changing.
>>
>>27589708
I had a 2019 and it was pretty good, the clutch is not that hard but it's very predictable, the rev match can be turned on or off as you wish, the car accelerates automatically as you let off the clutch so on flat roads you don't even have to give it any gas. I would say that downsides are the throttle isn't very responsive sometimes, I put a throttle spacer on it and it fixed it considerably but sometimes you can still feel it, and the shifter has longer throws than I would prefer. Also electronic e-brake sucks but at least it's convenient, it applies when you turn the car off and disengages when you start letting off the clutch and giving a bit of gas.
>>
>>27589878
Having stupid fucking tires seems to be a common premium feature these days.
Not sure why anyone would want those on a Corolla. It's not exactly a premium car, and has bad enough road noise even with normal ones. Not quite as bad as the Yaris where you'll probably get a sore throat cruising with a passenger because you have to spend the entire trip yelling so they can hear you, but it's still pretty bad.
>>
>>27586405
>>27586427
can't you just fold the rear seats down? thought that was where the storage advantage of hatch really came into play.
>>
>>27585720
>No Trunk
>No engine

This unironically.

This is the just the 3rd Gen Matrix but it’s so far removed from the original. Literally just a regular Corolla with a larger ass that barely gives you any practical cargo space. Also is not that fun to drive.
