I need a shitty normie-mobileCurrent options from basic research give me:2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited (28MPG, 38.7/80.3 ft3)2024 Kia Niro SX (53MPG, 22.8/63.7 ft3)2024 Honda CR-V EX-L (30MPG, 39.3/76.5 ft3)All should hover around $32-37kMy main concerns are reliability, maintenance costs, cargo capacity, and MPG. The Kia/Hyundai have the best warranty, but I have a 2014 Honda Fit currently and have had no problems with it so I lean towards Honda out of the gate. I've got a test drive for the Niro scheduled for next week, local Honda dealer hasn't returned my email yet.
>>27586382I thought the CR-V was discontinued
>>27586403Nope
>>27586403The fit was discontinued or id buy another fit.
>>27586403CR-V is like the 2nd best sellilng cuckover behind the Rava.
>>27586425Oh you're right I was thinking about the Toyota C-HRStupid dumb namesWell, I certainly wouldn't consider a Hyundai/Kia product right now, they seem mildly cursedWhy not Mazda (not promoting them just curious)
>>27586466not OP, my fiancé totaled her vw alltrack (rest in piss) and looking at newer options, we narrowed it down to a Mazda CX-3/30 (preferably turbo) or a subaru crosstrek/outback at this point. CVT is not appealing with subaru and they're pretty sluggish though
>>27586488The warranty is what kept me away from mazda/subaru
>>27586488We've got a 2023 Outback and honestly, apart from being shiny and new, I kind of hate itNot because it's a Subaru but because it feels so completely disconnected, I've played more engaging driving games than that thingIf I could pick again it would probably be a Subaru Impreza that was the last year they still had sticks I think
>>275865212022, sorry
>>27586466man i really like the chr. theyre just cool and fun looking
>>27586466>Well, I certainly wouldn't consider a Hyundai/Kia product right now, they seem mildly cursedhow so? everyone I know with one seems fine and they are actually pretty damn nice cars
>>27586466Hyundai/Kia/Mitsubishi have the best warranties of any new vehicles right now.I'm avoiding Mazda because they don't have any good deals at the local dealerships + lacklustre warranty compared to others in the segment, i'd sooner get the CR-V.
I was in a CRV as an Uber and I was impressed. Felt like it handled like an Accord (so tight and sporty). The interior material quality was good and felt well thought out for wear resistance and maintenance. (Seemed like a soapy rag would clean the entire interior including the cloth inserts without the material getting upset over it)
>>27586530So the two people I know who got them did so because growing family means big car/minivan and all the whiz-bang featuresBut they don't last very long and the warranty is more like a suggestionMaybe if you don't mind trading them back in or leasing them it could make better financial sense
>>27586382Try Kia Carnival, minivan looks like a vanOther options are mitsubishi outlander (nice interior imo) and hyundai santafe
>>27586382Used ford escape hybrid, rx350h, highlander hybrid, rav4, crv or even a Mazda would all be better choices than the kia/hyundie. The reason they sell is because they have a warranty for 100k and getting warranty work is a pain in the ass. After that 100k you are likely to notice it fall apart and break down rapidly. I would even recommend a bronco sport before any of those
>>27586553I'll be taking test drives in all of them before I buy.My current Honda Fit is going just fine, I'm replacing my old 2007 Ford Explorer, which is a 2ndary vehicle and only used occasionally, so I can limp on with it for 6-12 more months if I needed to.Worst case i'll order exactly what I want and wait the year+ it takes until it gets delivered.>>27586566Seat memory is a feature I really want, so that would require the Carnival SX ($42k), the Outlander SEL ($37k) or the Santa Fe Limited ($43k)So it blows my budget, or goes right up against it.
>>27586593I'm not too interested in used cars as I've had poor experiences with them in the past, though it has been ~15 years since my last used car.
>>27586382>My main concerns are reliability, maintenance costs, cargo capacity, and MPG.Stay away from Korean cars. Even if they brag about having a 10 year warranty, the dealer will find every reason in the world not to honor it.Get the Honda.
Please don't get the tucson with the piece of shit rear signals that are at the bottom of the car
>>27586856Anything you'd recommend over the Honda CR-V under $40k new?
>>27586880Personally I would go with the Mazda CX-5, but it does have a little less cargo room. So, if that's important to you, get the CR-V.
>>27586382Neither of those are SUV's lol. Also you gotta be pretty damaged to buy a modern Honda.
>>27586885>the Mazda CX-5, but it does have a little less cargo roomCRV has 33% more cargo room.
>>27586885Looks like i'll add the Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Premium to my list.
>>27586382Holy shit what poor choices, are you a girl? Mazda CX5/CX50 or Rav4. Honestly the CX is a far better choice based on price and the features you get for it.
>>27587073Also these are well below your price range, it's like you're trying to get ripped off. Even a CX30 would be good if that size works for you. I wish I could still recommend Subaru, they look cool and have good ground clearance but they're underpowered and have CVTs.
>>27586382Everybody reccomending the honda....I dont get the point though, theyre complaining about subaru cvts...but honda has a cvt in the CR-V. Isnt anyone actually worried about that?Id avoid anything with a cvt. I just don't trust it. Id go with the mazda personally, or tuscon. engine shit be damned, they do have the best warranty and you arent paying honda/yota's silly markup. Mazda is a good option for that too (avoiding markup). They also have decent reliability and no CVT bullshit.
>>27586597Buy it and drive it to 200k then sell for $9khttps://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/074a25a9-c01b-48f8-9aaa-17128a08317e/
>>27587154I'm seriously considering the CX-5 at the moment, need to schedule a test drive
>In the market for a normie-mobile>Not getting an EV
>>27587288Maybe OP wants to park indoors?
>>27587288Don't have easy access to charging as I don't have my own garage and running a charging cable across the sidewalk in a neighborhood is kinda shitty. So I would have to be a shitty neighbor, deal with 120v slow charging, or be a shitty neighbor AND pay to install a 240v charger so I'm not spending 15+ hours charging. Also at the sub $40k price point you're basically getting a barebones interior. Not to mention we're not far off from a new generation of EVs that should have extended range, faster charging, etc. I'll likely replace my Honda Fit with an EV in another ~5-10 years depending how the market looks at the time.
>>27587336>Don't have easy access to charging as I don't have my own garage and running a charging cable across the sidewalk in a neighborhood is kinda shitty.>So I would have to be a shitty neighbor, deal with 120v slow charging, or be a shitty neighbor AND pay to install a 240v charger so I'm not spending 15+ hours charging.RIP. :/>Also at the sub $40k price point you're basically getting a barebones interior. Not to mention we're not far off from a new generation of EVs that should have extended range, faster charging, etc. I'll likely replace my Honda Fit with an EV in another ~5-10 years depending how the market looks at the time.I wouldn't even buy a new EV, desu. Why experience the negative impact of depreiation when you can buy a solid $10,000-$15,000 EV and experience the positive impact of it instead? There's a ton of great low mile used EVs on the market that have lost over half their value. At those prices it doesn't even bother me that its outmatched by newer EVs with better tech.
>>27586382The CR-V, Hyundai and Kia can't build an engine to save their lives.
Rav4 hybrid and it's not even closebest interior best exterior best techbest gear, most powerful, fastest 0-60, easy to park, and best hybrid tech, depreciate less and overall is the best car the exist right now
>>27587360why buy EV? i have house with personal parking spot attached to my house 100% perfect setup for EV and i still wouldn't get one it's shit to drive, instead i go for Hybrid cars
>>27586488I enjoyed the Crosstrek sport loaner car. Felt plenty zippy up to about 70 MPH and it was hard to get it over 100 going uphill. Gas mileage was pretty good too. Honestly it made me annoyed to pick up my wrx being that it had no ground clearance and the manual/Turbo/no ground clearance/stiff ride sucks around town and on gravel
>>27587381You know you're talking about the infamous oil and gas mixing 1.5t right? I'd trust the gook garbage over the garbage Honda's shitting out these days. At least you're not paying a markup on it.
>>27586880Teslas are pretty good overall. Especially if you keep a gas backup car.
>>27587079>I wish I could still recommend Subaru, they look cool and have good ground clearance but they're underpowered and have CVTs.Im by far the fastest driver I know of and I found the Crosstrek sport to have adequate performance, the CVT works very good, especially for snow. You are a bench racer.
>>27587393Because charging is dirt cheap, you never have to go to gas stations, you come out to a fully charged vehicle every day, acceleration is extremely responsive with a perfect torque curve, and they're perfectly smooth with zero shifting or engine vibration which isn't a guarantee when you're shopping for cheap entry level cars.
>>27587393Also they need no maintenance aside from tires.
>>27587416EV talk always happens at this hourIt's not a coincidence
>>27587405I'd argue that you need a gas backup car the least with a Tesla because the charging performance and network support is so good.
>>27587396I'll take that over the casting debris Kia shitpiles. I can't even count how many rod knocking P1326 Kia/Hyundais have come in to my shop and needed an engine while I've had one Honda 1.5 with the oil dilution issue ever.
>>27587453Yeah, there are occasional blackouts, and also places that get very cold.
>>27586382Faggot
>>27586382kys
>>27587416>>27587424if u calculate depreciation cost, they will be more expensive that hybrids. they also have much more problems than toyota it's shown on all tests.even if not, i test drove couple of EVs and didn't like it, it didn't feel like it would hold up more than 2 years and it had annoying dynamics. I had better experience with rav4 which felt like much better drive, and nicer to be in. It also doesn't have homeworks like EVs fuck charging every day
RAV4 hybrid is the ultimate all rounder.Honda's hybrid system sucks in extreme cold and when going uphill.
>>27587565You are a tard larping
>>27587592> Fuel type: Electricyea they fixed this issue in new models
>>27587565Even if a hybrid has no issues, you're still spending a lot more money just to drive it — hundreds of dollars a month if you drive a lot. I switched from an SUV to my current EV and I'm only spending a few dollars a month on electricity versus the $200 I was spending on gas.EVs don't have "much more problems." That's objectively false. I'd rather charge every day than be dependent on expensive gas.
>>27587414>Im by far the fastest driver I know of and I found the Crosstrek sport to have adequate performancelol, not the fastest one I know of then. My gf test drove one in 2020 and found them sluggish
>>27586566>mitsubishi outlanderCVT shit
>>27587740>and I'm only spending a few dollars a month on electricityI find this VERY hard to believe. Just running a hot tub on a 15A circuit makes a noticeable impact on my electric bill, much more than "a few dollars". Did you go from driving every day to not driving at all?
>>27588137Depends where you live and how big your battery is + your driving habits.
>>27586403The CR-V is Honda's second best selling car (only behind the Civic) and they just released a new generation last year. They'd be retarded to drop it now.
>>27586382Regular CR-V has a rubber band CVT, the hybrid has the e-CVT which is supposedly a lot better.
cx-50 if you're considering the cx-5turbo isn't necessary, it has enough putt-around-town power and its mpg is respectable especially if you're easy on the gas. no shitty cvt either
>>27588068You have to turn off assist, put in si-drive and floor it. Literally everyone that complains about Subarus thinks the pedal cant hit the floor
>>27586382These aren't SUVs, these are CUVs>Small SUV adviceBuy a Jimny or something
>>27587387Rav4 has a shit engine. You have to rev it to 5 or 6k to get any power out of it, and it sounds awful.
>>27588145Probably spent a bunch on solar and does off peak charging. If I changed my plan with my electric company I can pay $64-$71 a month for unlimited off peak charging
>>27588193Hybrid CR-V almost blows my budget, but good to know.
you need volkswagen golf variant TDI 50mpg
>>27588596Not sold in the US
>>27588214It might just be kinda slow. 0-60 is like 8 seconds. I forgot to mention - auto start stop is also a deal breaker which rules out the subies.
>>27588655Land of the free
>>27588672Looks like the Non-turbo 2024 Mazda CX-5's all have auto start/stop disabled due to supply chain issues.
>>27588691Freedom to get cancer
>>27588692based
>>27586501Ok lads settlement is in. What AWD hatchback, wagon or maybe small SUV should she be looking at around $15-$20k?Subies are pretty much out cause of start/stop, VW's are out cause they're shit. Would really like to avoid a made in Mexico (or worse) if possible. >>27588692Based Mazda, the Mazda 3 turbo hatchback is in the running because it also doesn't have it and the NA market ones are actually made in the Japans. We'll have to test drive one first though it may be a little small for our purposes.
>>27588781Current considerations:Mazda 3, CX-3/30Volvo V60Buick Regal wagon>power gapJeep renegade idk
>>27588729Next thing you're gonna support is mandatory vehicle inspections, including emissions
My mom's giulia drives nice. Think we got it with 15k miles for 25k or so.
>>27588839not enough cargo volume
>>27588792>Jeep renegade idkDon't do it. It's just a Fiat 500 dressed up as a Jeep.
>>27588924My mom had a jeep in the early/mid 2000s and I hated it, so jeep was never on the table anyway.
Buick Envista might be your cup of tea.

>>27588961>Buick Envistaonly 42 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.I'm looking for 60+.The CX-5 at 59.3 cubic feet is already about my limit. The CR-V Hybrid at 76.5 cubic feet is by far the most attractive, but Honda is also the most expensive.
>>27586382Audi A4 wagon
>>27589017those are like $50k+
>>27588961>Buick EnvistaGuess they're not super popular

>>27589364Or some local business ignoring EPA rules about disposing of certain chemical waste.
Take the Junior-pill
Anyone thinking of getting a Honda hybrid needs to google the problems their system has going on sustained inclines.
>>27586562Exactly. Warranty in current year is very hard to enforce. Dealer just says no and ignores you. You have to fight for claims.
>>27589458Too expensive
>>27589466People also complain about brakes squealing and horrid MPG in colder weather (like 10-15MPG below advertised)
>>27586382I got a CX-50 and it's been running well. If you live the US, Mazda is selling them with 0% APR until the end of April.
>>27589566I'm paying in cash, not financing. But yea, my CX-5 test drive is scheduled for the first week of may.
>>27589568why the fuck would you pay cash over 0% APR just curious
>>27589571Because my grandfather is dying and he wants to buy me a car before he dies. I'm not getting any inheritance otherwise. (which is fine with me).
>>27587414I'm not a racer at all, I like practical fuel efficient vehicles but I don't want them to feel like shit. Keep in mind Subarjew is charging thousands more for the 2.5 Crosstrek while comparative 2.5s without CVTs are cheaper. It's the shittiest feeling drive you'll get out of the contenders.
>>27586553I had the opposite experience with a CRV and it almost killed me + other drivers. I drove my aunt's and it felt like driving a box. The new car smell was also off, I now understood what people meant by saying "it feels like driving an appliance." The safety features almost caused a major multi-car accident. I'm going 85 on the freeway and if you lane change without signaling, it thinks you're drifting lanes. It locks the steering wheel to block you into the lane AND slams on the brakes automatically. Slammed down from 85 to 65 or so very quickly and I had cars swerving around avoiding a huge pile up. There was no way I could readily turn this off. I'll fuckinf never drive a Honda and spit on them, what kind of "safety" feature is that? The car should display that it's going to do something retarded in the case someone else is driving it that's not familiar with its retardation. Imagine the liability they'd face if their bullshit features did cause a major pile up.
>>27589580Might want to touch base with a tax advisor. Your grandpa may exceed the gift tax and get posthumously fucked by the IRS if it's structured wrong
>>27589595In these instances the person doing the gifting is the one legally required to pay the tax on anything over $17k but the person receiving can choose to pay the taxes instead. Since OP is not going to get an inheritance it does not really matter as the taxes would come out of the estate of the dead grandpa.
>>27589589Crosstrek has better off road capabilities than most of the competition. Being that my mom uses the gas pedal as an on/off switch instead of a variable input, it works better with that much power.
>getting a hyundai because of the warrantyHow much available free time and money do you have to make them honor their "best in class" warranty? Because last time I checked, lawyers like to get paid for their time. And you'll need a lawyer. Hyundai won't even take care of their "car self ignites no matter if it's hyundai, kia, or genesis" problem. And it's not just one problem that causes this. A leak over the ABS unit does this. Faulty factory installation of the fuel line caused this. The REPAIR for the faulty fuel line that caused fires caused this. Shit, one of the many "don't park your car in or near a flammable structure" recalls was because the tow package wiring was over torqued and a fuse wasn't free enough for them to protect their customers. And then there is the theft problem. Their solution to their lack of immobilizers in the US was allowing customers to, at their own expense, buy an aftermarket immobilizer. They wouldn't even chip in for installation costs. They "allowed" customers to do something they could legally do anyways.Fuck them.
>>27589672I've already been convinced to take the CX-5 for a test drive.
>>27589595Put it in a living trust. You both own it but if he dies obviously it goes into your name. Also consider putting both names on the title then you both own it. If you sell you'll need his signature as well. Either forge it or go through the DMV process to remove a deceased person from the title. Likely won't incur gift/estate tax because it was jointly owned during life.
>>27589687This is good advice, I know not everywhere taxes inheritance either so could mean more left to your family and less to the government.
>>27589595Unless Uncle Moneybags is worth 13M, not a problem.
>>27589743He is not, closer to $1.5M including his house.
>>27589747Thank GP for the generosity; ask him about his opinions on negroes.
>>27589592>I'm going 85 on the freeway and if you lane change without signalingI don't know what model year you're talking about, but a quick search seems to indicate that lane departure assist/warning can be turned off if you bother to figure out how, and also if you are doing 85 and don't signal your lane change you deserve what you get.
>>27589747Shit tell him to buy you a restored k5 and take him for rides
>>27589769He grew up in a very poor area of Philly in the early '50s and had many black friends growing up and throughout his adult/professional life.>>27589808Not his style, he holds no real interest in classics. He currently has a 2020 Outback I think.
>>27589787A vehicle should never brake itself under those circumstances, the safety system doesn't even achieve safety, it almost caused a major wreck. I was way ahead of traffic to the point signaling or not wouldn't have mattered. That was the only reason I didn't get rear ended for damn near fully braking on the freeway (the car doing it, not me)The circumstances were the vehicle's fault and could've been catastrophic. I don't normally drive that vehicle so I'm not going to sit there and go through its settings, I'm merely pointing out a major fallacy in these supposed "safety features." People commonly hand their vehicles off and I almost died along with others being killed because of it. It's bullshit, automated cars are gonna kill a shit ton of people before they ban that flawed tech.
>>27589787>doing 85 and don't signal your lane change you deserve what you get>accident in front of your car>need to swerve fast to avoid>honda decides no, locks your steering wheelLane departure assist also needs to be turned off everytime you start the car, it doesn't persist.
>>27590162Shit I didn't even think of that, what a joke. It's so much more dangerous than drifting a lane it makes a whole different problem. I was jerking the wheel too, absolutely fighting it but it doesn't let you turn the wheel.I drove the car from start to finish so it wasn't turned on manually. I will absolutely never buy a vehicle with this feature even if it can be turned off. Inadvertently turning it on is too dangerous.
>>27590162I prefer the systems that give a soft counter steer, but still let you power through it if you need to make an emergency maneuver
>>27590494Oh this was like trying to crash through a wall, it didn't let you through to the other lane at all. If I wasn't aware of these systems and stopped trying to switch lanes it would've just fully braked and definitely caused a pile up. I can imagine if some woman jumps in someone else's car with no knowledge of these safety systems and has that happen, she'd probably react less appropriately and definitely have caused a crash. Makes me wonder if my aunt can even drive if she has all this safety bullshit active at all times. She's from a 3rd world country and never drove until her late 30s so maybe she legit can't even keep the fucking car in one lane...
>>27590507Yea those systems will get people killed (I assume they already have)
>>27588692My MX-30 has Stop, but you can turn it off with a button.
>>27590552Does it stay off or is it reenabled everytime you start the car?
CX-5 is the best NPC-mobile you can get.>elegant style; not trying to be le tough sporty adventurer meme>reliable power train>comfy interior>infotainment horseshit kept to a minimum >driving nannies kept to a minimum
>>27590826That's where I'm currently leaning, I've got a test drive scheduled in a few weeks.
>>27590826i saw one of those the other day and i thought it was a hatchback. i guess maybe it kind of is, but didn't know it was so small
37K+ you can get a Mazda CX-90. They're desperate to sell those.
>>27590979I hate barebones trim levels, and the trim level I'd want for the CX-90 pushes $50k. Even if I find a dealer trying to get rid of them, I don't think they'd come down to $40k for me.
>>27586382Fuck all thatGet a Mazda CX5 or CX50
>>27591241Yea I know >>27589675
The new 2024 Santa Fe hybrid is 37kish.
Get a mazda cx-5 or 50. Wife loves that bitch.
>all car enthusiasts: just get a MazdurrAre they truly the last based practical car brand? even Goyota has gone to shit...
>>27591493sorry, CX-5 is out
>>27591577OP here, glad my wife isn't dumb. We've got a CX-5 test drive scheduled.
>>27591602You want to know a terrible secret? I no likey SUV either
>>27591612I mean that's fine, but hatches are basically dead in the US. If there were a mid-sized hatch i'd opt for that, but it basically doesn't exist and the CX-5 is the closest to it with the best drivetrain. Also VW announced the 2024 Golf will be the final year with a manual in the US.
>>27591577Well good for her it's just a bigger hatchback car.If she drives a golf that's being spoiled in terms of small size maneuverability. Jumping up to an oversized car/crossover isn't going to be a fun switch unless she really needed more space or had crash safety paranoia. Mazda 3 is a small normie mobile. Imprezas can be fun. Those are both relatively small and come in hatch.
>>27591612>I no likey SUV eitherThen why shop for one? Go buy a van, truck, hatchback, or sedan
>>27591645>If there were a mid-sized hatchI was hoping there was something I forgot about. That would be perfect but pickings are slim in NA. RIP golf>>27591692Not OP, different anon in this thread and am basically looking for an AWD wagon or hatch w/ decent cargo space, but would consider smaller SUV's that aren't completely offensive to drive (and dont have auto start/stop). Mazda 3 might be a little too small is my only concern but we haven't test driven one yet. >>27591698Plan is too hit up the mazda dealer and checkout a mazda3 hatch, CX-30, and CX-5
>>27587393How many EVs have you actually driven? They're not shit to drive, the drivetrain feels instantly nicer and more luxurious. Instant linear torque, lots of power.
>>27591751Yeah, I have a couple of electric RC carsPain in the ass to juggle batteries though
>>27591719The CX30 is straight up car size, it's so smol that you might think it's just a hatch seeing one on the road. The Crosstrek looks cool as it still retains that wagon-esque look, but it's severely underpowered and the CVT is gross. There's the Corolla Cross as well but it's a 2.0 and CVT.Chevy, Hyundai, and Kia make some small ones but idk if you wanna dip into that level of unreliability.
>>27587592>103 mile EPA rangeyeah sorry the old Rav4 EVs suck ass. The bz4x isn't worth buying yet because it throttles your fast charging if you've fast charged more than once in 10 hours, so you can't use it for long road trips. Ignore this goon.
>>27592069Crosstreks have a 2.5L engine option.
>>27592078And still a shit CVT
>>27592078They charge way more for it and as far as I'm concerned it should be the standard engine because the 2.0 is laughably slow. So they're jewing right off the bat with it making it an "upgraded trim" and it's also still considerably more slow than other 2.5 4cyl competitors, along with having CVTshit. I don't see it as a realistic option if it were me buying.
>>27592077The point, retard, is that toyota liked what tesla was doing enough to partner with them for an early EV that is still just as functional as when it was sold new more than a decade ago. It also happened to carry the Rav4 badging and styling the other tard was gushing over.
Another vote for the CX-5/50
>>27586544Hyundai and Kia have long warranties because they are shitboxes that will fall apart in 5 years, and nobody would have ever bought them without the meme warranty. However, when your korean garbage car starts falling apart, good luck getting anything covered by the warranty.Mazdas are well made. They also don't put CVTs into any of their vehicles, I believe. CX-5s are all made in Japan with top quality control. If you want a small SUV that is a great option. CX-30 is a bit cheaper, but they're also pretty small. More like a lifted car imo.
Buick Encore GX with real transmission
>>27593862Parts issues? They're not making 2024s with the 9-speed auto even though they claim it's an avaliable option, I can't see a way to build one with it and no dealers near me seem to have a non-CVT Encore in stock.
>>27593979Don't bother, it is gook made trash
>>27594027I wasn't seriously considering it anyway as its cargo volume is basically the same as my Honda Fit. Just thought it was weird they advertised the 9-speed despite it not being available.
>>27586382>suvYou don't need an suv, just buy a sedan/wagon
>>27594438I want more cargo space than my Honda Fit, which is 16.6 ft3 / 52.7 ft3CX-5 is 29.1 ft3 / 59.3 ft3If you can find a sedan/hatch with similar cargo space under $40k, and without a CVT, let me know.
>>27594443Most wagons will get you more or atleast the same boot space as suv's and many larger sedans will have more space than the Fit.
>>27594487> Most wagonsNone of them in my price rangeThe only one is the Mini Clubman, which is 17.5 ft3 / 47.9 ft3All other wagons are $50k+ from Audi/Volvo/Mercedes or have a CVT (Subaru)As for sedans, while they might have more trunk space than the fit, they don't generally have as much total space since their rear seats don't fold flat for more storage. The Camry for example has 15.1ft3 in the trunk, and no way to fold the seats flat.If you think you know something I don't go ahead and tell me instead of telling me "something" is out there when in my research, there isn't.
>>27592069>>27593628Went to the mazda dealer today, test drove:Mazda3 hatchback AWD turbo CX-30 AWD non-turbo CX-50 non-turbo (all trims are AWD)CX-5 not considered it's just too soccer mom In general they all fell well put together with good quality materials and handled/drove well, though I wouldn't necessarily describe them as "sporty" (except maybe the mazda3 sort of but not really). Not that they handled bad or anything rather that the ride quality seemed more focused on comfort.
>>27595423>Mazda3 Surprisingly quick (5.9 0-60 supposedly) plenty of power for merging and overtaking, didn't really feel like you were going fast but you could be doing 90. Less shit boxy than I had imagined, especially the interior, though it's fairly small. Visibility isn't great either. It's basically at the bare minimum of usability for us the missing space from her Alltrack was pretty noticeable. Taller adults probably wont fit in the back seats. I'm also a bit worried it's low enough that if(when) she hits a curb it would fuck something up>CX-30Despite not looking that much different than the 3 it had a decent amount more space in the back, and better visibility (there's an extra little window between the rear doors & rear pillar that's not there on the 3). Front interior space was pretty much the same maybe slightly more headroom. It's not any longer than the 3 so the extra space is just vertical. I'm 6'-2" and could sit in the back seat fine. My fiance said this one felt most like her Alltrack overall but more comfortable and she liked it more than she anticipated. The non-turbo is not slow but definitely not fast, basically at the minimum level acceptable for us to not be annoying. >CX-50 This one surprised both of us by how comfortable it was, both the seats and the overall ride quality, while not being obnoxiously tall or handling poorly. The extra room in the interior and back was definitely noticeably. Overall storage space more similar to the alltrack but more interior passenger room.
>>27595425The CX-30 would probably be better as a general commuter (the majority of it's purpose) and is more of the price range we had in mind, but the CX-50 is making me do some soul searching. It's a little bit more car than we need, but it would be a lot nicer for road trips or whatever. It's a newer model though and is gonna be a bit higher price than what we originally had in mind. The extra ground clearance and space is pretty nice, and the interior is surprisingly nice. Forgot to say - the non-turbo trim was kinda sluggish. Probably not unusable for sone people but we would have to opt for the turbo (a decent amount more expensive than original planned budget).
>>27595423>Mazda3 hatchback AWD turboI prefer the non-turbo since it can still come with the 6-speed manual.
>I need a shitty normie-mobileNo you don't. Explain your "NEED" in great detail.
>>27595489It needs to be able to fit my grandpa's wheelchair and portable oxygen concentrator. I'd also personally like it to be larger than my current Honda Fit.
>>27595652fuck you for needing one
>>27595655Fair
>>27595652Based and good grandsonpilled.
>>27596571Well he's the one paying for it, so not really. I try though.
>>27586382>2024 Honda CR-V EX-L (30MPG, 39.3/76.5 ft3)This one. You can't go wrong with that.
