That is part of the EGR cooling system and is not present on the high-output version of the Hurricane. So it'll be a problem for your mom's SUV, not for the Charger her boyfriend drives.

This is a rumor started by a video on Instagram where techs were lying about exactly this, and pointing to this hose. This was already talked about months ago, several techs chimed in to say that it was just a lie, and that the hose is accessible with the cowling removed in the current Grand Wagoneer.

why does it extend so far forward of the timing chain - large/weird in comparison to vanos and similar? because it's plastic housing vs metal?
are these still hydraulically actuated?
