I’m not even a libshit, Elon-hater or jumping on a bandwagon.
This truck is unironically a huge piece of shit that is in no way worth its $100,000 minimum price tag. What was Tesla thinking? Did they even think at all?
>>
>>27643132
Then don't buy one. Problem solved.

I am invoking the First Amendment to call this piece of shit a piece of shit, and also to call you a colossal faggot.

Supply and demand. It will get much lower eventually.
>>

All EV pickups are selling like shit for obvious reasons. Elon thought, hey, why make a pickup that looks like everyone else's shitty pickup? Why not make something that can do truck stuff but also look cool AF??

That's it. That's the story.
>>
>>27643132
It's the same price as any other electric truck with similar features. Electric trucks in general aren't great at truck stuff, but they're decent high-capacity commuter vehicles for people who can afford them.
>>
>>27643132
The turning is actually fairly innovative with steer by wire and rear steer. Makes for a nimble truck. Obviously it's not great for towing but not everyone who owns a truck tows.
>>
>>27643132
It wasn't Tesla. It was Elon. In retrospect, his decision to invest resources into Cybertruck instead of Model 2 was a colossal self-own and may well have sunk the company. It will go down in history books as the inflection point of decline.

That's a really low bar though. The $200 Suzuki PV my neighbour's kid has also gets them to their summer job just fine.

This. Model 3s are already below 15K here and still dropping fast.

Biggest pile of crap , brother in law ordered it ,
First month it randomly shut off on him in the middleman of traffic, and then it kept giving an error for low battery when the in fact the battery was fully charged.

It doesn't matter because it's function is not a vehicle, it's function is a STATUS SYMBOL SHINY NEW OBJECT.

It's the big boy's iPhone XMax Cialis edition. It's the same thing as negroid rappers wearing a giant gold chain, just for suburban edamame techbois.

You have to remember, nobody cares about cars like us. 99.99% of "humans" buy cars to project their desired identity, status showing off, etc. They don't have a clue about the cars or care, it's just a social signaling device to them
>>
>>27644242
You mean 99% of mutts, in Europe people even debadge top trim cars to not show off
>>

He's barely acceptable now, he's never been good. I think in my [anon] post (the LJN one) I made which you quoted demonstrated how dumb his old stuff was. Watch his old stuff, it's awful. I've been gaming for 30+ years but poop jokes somehow don't do it for me and that's all old AVGN was. I still enjoy it, and I've seen almost all his vids, but it was just a bunch of shit jokes and exaggerated tones. At least in his new vids he states almost-honest opinions but they aren't enlightening - yes I knew Symphony of the Night was awesome.

They sold 800k cybertrucks?
>>
>>27643132
>What was Tesla thinking? Did they even think at all?
The initial idea was to have a cybertruck out to market as one of the first EV trucks which at one time people said would be the EV model needed to bring about the EV revolution. Instead what happened was that it took way too long to developed, and by that time Rivian and Ford came out with their EV trucks, and proved the exact opposite about the EV revolution as EV trucks proved limitations to EVs compared to ICE as well as we're too expensive. In the end the Cybertruck just became a tech-geek out machine that ended up being so poorly built that it brought back the mid 2000's Corolla problem of uncontrollable acceleration, forcing every cybertruck sold to be recalled.
>>
>>27644342

>just like 99.99 percent of the population also wont

I think you mean 20%. You are in the minority of the people who do not like it. The internet echo chamber is real.
>>
>>27643177
>can do truck stuff
It can't though.
>>
>>27643238
God, imagine if Elon used the massive waste of resources and instead just made a smaller model 3 with less infotainment shit. Just focus on making it Corolla-reliable, RWD, and cheap.
>>
>>27643228
>steer by wire
Isn't that illegal for production vehicles in the US? I remember reading about some concept car from the 80's that used a joystick and that being a big reason it was never put into production.
>>
>>27644401

>In the end the Cybertruck just became
It just came out you goldfish brain.

>forcing every cybertruck sold to be recalled
3000 vehicles for a minute fix. It isn't the end of the world. Most repairs would be done from a service vehicle that would come to the truck. Ford has tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of recalls every couple of years and they are solvent.
>>
It's like they just forgot that the entire reason for polygonal designs in cars was to reduce drag and air resistance. I think they ended up making it so more wind smacks onto it
>>
>>27644431
It literally looks like a dumpster driving down the street lmao
>>
>>27643228
It’s not a particularly good idea for a personal car because it makes the steering very different than other cars.
>>
>>27643132
It's still so funny to me that they chose stainless steel body work, harkening back to the DeLorean and becoming an even greater mechanical failure.

>Paris is entire Europe
>>
>>27644414
>Isn't [steer-by-wire] illegal for production vehicles in the US?
Not at all, most cars today have electronic steering and it's one of the biggest reasons I don't like them. New cars feel like they can at any moment go in any direction, not safe.
>>
>>27644428
>3000 vehicles for a minute fix. It isn't the end of the world.
Do you even have the slightest idea that a loose cover on the accelerator that could get the pedal stuck due to using inadequate glue on a ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR car is not very good optics?
Have you heard design faults on cars in a similar price range before? Probably not much because they wouldn’t release such a steaming pile of shit in a literal beta tester stage with experimental supply change.

Hey, by the way, when talking about utter retardation, did you know they decided to put the “gearing”/drive panel at the ceiling?
Cars are becoming modern video games LMAO
>>
>>27644467
EPS and steer by wire are two totally different things.
>>
>>27644414
>>27644467
It is, or at least was illegal to have SbW with no physical backup, until very recently.
>>
>>27644475

>did you know they decided to put the “gearing”/drive panel at the ceiling
They put the backup controls on the ceiling. You will use it if something goes wrong with the screen.
>>
>>27643132
>What was Tesla thinking?
"Ok is this is one of Elon's stupid prank again? Did one of his kids draw this? Is he joking? Get ready to laugh. He's going to do his retarded laugh again. That's your cue. Should I laugh? Wait... no. He's not laughing. Steel panels? Is he actually serious? Forty thousand dollars? We can't even... 500 miles range? Now that's... The fuck?! The truck can turn into a boat? Don't say anything. Don't make eye contact. Don't laugh or he'll fire you."

You could also walk, but when you've got money to throw at a Cybertruck or other EV, most people will pick that instead.

Whatever you may think of the outside styling, the look, the interior features, whatever, is completely irrelevant. Underneath all that is approaching sci-fi levels of tech that no other car maker is even close to replicating. The die cast frame pieces, 48v architecture, etc etc. They are leading in technology development.
