I have a King Tour Pak top case that I want to mount, but when I bought it I didn't know it was coming with cut-outs for lights, speakers, and an antennae.I haven't decided if I'm going to buy a different one without the cutouts or put the energy into filling in the holes with fiberglass.

>>27642258
>the prairies are a major hitch. Travel in canada would be top tier if they vanished

You can bomb across the prairies in almost a day keeping a steady 130kph.
But you guys are being dramatic, the prairies aren't that bad, just pretend you're in MadMax. There are like 2 prairie campgrounds you can stop and sleep at midway through the prairies. Camping in the prairies is like camping in the wasteland, it's great.
The worst part is the wind.
Just imagine you're an North American Indian hunting some buffalo as you stare across the barren landscape.
It'd be nicer if there wasn't so much farmland. Most of the real prairies has been destroyed.

If you go into it with a negative mindset, you won't like it.
I crossed it when it was 41C and I became NightRider!
Just don't camp anywhere near Winnipeg.
I think the most depressing part about travelling across the prairies is seeing all the pajeets abandoning Ontario to move to Alberta. There's so many of them.

Changed my front tire all by myself tonight!
Was a learning experience.
Went out for a test ride and then I noticed the ABS light was on.
Turns out I put the wheel on backwards so I had to head back and setup my "lift" again to spin it around.
8/10 would do again to save $100+ and waiting for an appointment at the shop.

I haven't replaced a bicycle tire myself before but I'd guess a motorcycle tire change is pretty much the same but harder in every way.
Everything is heavier, stiffer, and more important to get right. Also the front wheel is anything but quick release. I also didn't have the proper tool for unscrewing the axel but I did have vice grips and the right sized bolt B^)
Took me like 20-30 minutes to just get the old tire off the rim. Once I got the hang of using the tire levers down it went faster and putting the new tire on was easier than I was expecting.
Getting the bead to seat all the way around was tricky.
>>
>>27644466

Its Canada!
Shops charge around $110/hour I think.
They might be able to get it done in less than an hour especially for one tire so maybe it would be more like $60.
I mainly was avoiding calling the dealer and getting the earliest appointment in late June. They get pretty swamped around this time.
I also wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. Cause really I should know how to do tire maintenance in case I am forced to do it on the road.

True it's a useful skill, but also my most hated job you can do on a bike. Also fucking around with tire levers can fuck shit up. As well as using vice grips to undo the axle nut in your case.
I just take the wheels off and take them to any moto shop that has a tire machine (some car places do moto wheels too usually done in 30mins and something like 50€ with balancing.

I've had this bike a year and forgot it had launch control, tried it out last night and it's really weird, feels like you're being pulled along by a train or something. Probably won't use it that much as you need some clear road both in front and behind you, so you can stop and set up.

Battery vehicles use rare metals for both batteries and motors and absolutely require ride by wire. e-bikes are actually equally dangerous. ish.
they're equally dangerous on a typical commute, where speeds are similar. obviously, doing 200mph on a freeway with your liter bike is way more dangerous.
watch the fortnine video on e-bikes.

>Electric is a joke
wouldn't go that far. e-bikes, yes, they suck ass. but a small electric motorcycle, think vespa or cub style, makes a lot of sense for city commutes
also, apparently, electric is quite good for dirt bikes.
where it really falls apart is the highway. drag increases with some high power of speed, which means power consumption does too. and unlike a car, you can't really work on your aero to improve drag, nor can you compensate but just shoving a literal ton of batteries in the vehicle.

When I said e-boikes, I was talking about pic-rel.
Pic-rel is the cheapest half decent fully-suspended e-boike that I could find. It costs £2,300. You can literally buy a used dual-sport for that kind of money. How the hell are they selling basic electric pedal boikes for this much money. There is literally nothing special about it.

I currently ride a Harley Electra-Glide Ultra Classic and its the least enjoyable bike I've owned so far. Its also the only non-Honda I've owned so far.

Its so heavy its not fun to ride. Its a very nice riding bike on the highway. Its a good bike for fat people, my fat self and my fat girlfriend fit well on it together. Its got enough cargo for two peoples full armor with room to carry groceries or whatever. I nicknamed mine "bruiser" because of the way it turns whole fruit into bruised up smoothy in a peel.
>>
>>27645039
Based retard.
How do the speakers sound while riding the highway?
That rear seat does look comfy.
>>
>>27644930
Make sure you have the right kind of screwdrivers like metric if it calls for it and pick up a gasket for the carb and a can of computer duster. If you're feeling lazy try running some seafoam through it first
>>
>>27645050
I can barely hear them while riding on the highway. They are extremely loud though, its pretty annoying. And they automatically get louder as the exhaust gets louder. I personally hate the stereo system and wish it didn't exist but its occasionally fun to blast meme biker tunes

>>

Could be a sticky piston that's not retracting fully. I have had my rear brakes lock up because of that
>>
>>27645087
I've tried it a few times, even went to the trails yesterday briefly and attempted a couple, but I don't have the bounce quite right to weight the back tire and keep traction. When I've tried the wheel mostly spins but it's definitely a skill issue on my part. More practice and I bet I'll get it.

Meet the king!
Compared to e-clutch, all quickshifters are trash.
Got to ride CB650R, it does precisely what I want, both the engine end the e-clutch.
Unlike Kawasaki Z900RS, this bike didn't give me the feeling of having an unstoppable TORQUE. In fact, it didn't feel like having an engine at all, the bike just accelerates in a reasonable, well-behaved manner.
Also, it's narrower than kawasaki, so I got the benefit of 4 cylinders without having to lie down on the bike, I was sitting on it as usual, just in a very sporty position. Didn't feel terrible, not sure if it will get tiring after an hour-long ride.
>>
>>27645182
If it doesn’t have a clutch how do you wheelie it
>>
>>27645187
You pull the clutch lever, it switches to manual mode, you do what you do on any other bike.
You don't have to remember whether you're in auto or manual mode, it is always in the right mode.
>>
You know when gloves have those slits in the thumb and index so you can expose the tips to use your phone or whatever? What is that feature called so I can narrow down my search?

He’s not really wrong. You get scheduled allotments as a Honda dealer and if they have it to send then you get it, if they don’t you don’t get it. A dealer can’t just ask Honda to send them a bike because a customer wants one. Honda has has a supply problem in the N.A. market for a few years now.

I've tried a ton of gloves and I've never found touchscreen compatible fingers that felt adequate. I can broadly swipe the screen and chicken pick letters but it's always quicker to just take the glove off. Doesn't help that I have short fingers so most gloves bunch up at the tips. I think finger flaps are the only way forward besides fingerless which would throw off my balance of HYB and meek faggot

Not even the dealers know why Honda can’t supply them enough bikes to meet their demand. The most likely answer is Honda is focused on selling as many units as possible in Europe and Asia. Man. I just LOVE being european. Like, dude? We're a big family over here. Eventhough everyone IS different in their culture and lifestyle, we all share some values. One of these values is "brotherhood", or - as we say - Siblinghood (Fraternité). It's so cool to be able to just meet up and just UNDERSTAND each other. Like, these awesome humans? All like less than an afternoon away from everyone. Just showed up and rode together, like we just know each other for years. Kinda crazy when you think about it, right? Man. Stunning landscapes, great people and awesome roads. Just overall totally chill cultures that met up together here.

they'll fit under the seat of a late 90s sports bike, not sure how useful that is to you. otherwise you could probably jam top + bottoms in a 10-15L tail pack, or they fit snugly in the bottom of a normal daypack. on a 3 hour highway ride you'll probably soak through them where you don't have the bike's protection. if you want to be completely waterproof you need PVC or other non-breathable fabric. boot covers are a great investment too

>> I do all my own tires
I was implying the exact opposite, anon. If I had experience changing my own tires I wouldn't been looking at youtube videos for it.

while I don't have a 90s sport bike I know about how much space that is, so definitely useful. a little too big to jam into my integrated toolbox but I think I can figure something out to keep it on-bike. thanks!

When you guys pull your gopro footage how do you do it? I pull the sd card and put it in my laptop but the whole process is so soul crushing I feel like I should get into the habit of using the program and doing it over wifi.

*Slick Willie Gives you the ol' squint eye like he's thinking on it real hard*
Well now ya see, we got that there depreciation to think about.. now that there depreciation, that's a gonna take a good 25% off'n the retail value right there. I mean that's it. Theys no foolin' that, I tell you what.
Then, if'n you got 2000 miles on the odimeter,.. well sakes. Them's miles you just ain't gonna git back, no sir. Goin cost ya another say, 10% off'n that there retail value again, you see.
So lets see what ol' Willie might be able to do for ya today on this here deal. I tell you what boy, I'll offer you 800 dollars for that there machine an ain't no two ways til Sunday you eva' gonna get a better deal on this no how no way.
I'm offerin' top dollars here son.....
You can count on ol' Willie.
