As for the gear in general, I started with just gloves and a helmet.

Then I rode in a sweater @130kph during my Moto school and realized I need a jacket because of the wind (and also because I need reliable pockets with zips to put my things in)

Then I figured my shoes are gonna wear down too fast so I bought motorcycle shoes with nice features.

Then I drifted through the intersection on sleek asphalt in the rain so I bought pants with side protection in case I ever don't manage to hold it in these situations to minimise potential booboo ouchies.

Then I started riding in cold weather so I bought winter head gear, gloves, later I rode in snow so winter comfy pants and shoes came as well.

And the list goes on. Just start small, add what you feel like piece by piece.

This is my second, I had a street triple before the Daytona. Honestly both have been nimble, light, fast little bikes. The whine that the 3 cylinder makes sounds super neat too. And they stand out, every squid and their mom rides a zx6r or R6, so people take notice when it's different. They're a niche, but rewarding. Got nothing but compliments on them both.

I've had a rectifier die on the highway on a R6. I just pulled the clutch in and costed off. It was my fault because I didn't pay attention to who my motorcycle had been behaving beforehand. I think a lot of people come up with any excuse to make a motorcycle accident not their fault.

The EBC HH sintered pads finally came in and are on my bike along with fresh brake fluid. I can finally come to a stop without having to brake really early. Replaced all the lights and furniture, cut out all the bad wiring (over half of what's on the bike) then replaced, the starter relay, then the starter in an underground parking garage. Now it wants a stator, which is pooched. I have a plug in hybrid motorcycle until then. I already love the stupid thing regardless.
