Probably this or my Ural(s). Will have to see.
The Czechoslovakian bags on the Izh are good, but they're very soft and floppy, the NVA bags on the other hand are surprisingly solid and rigid, they keep their form much better.

Alright br/o/s I need help.

I have narrowed down to these bikes as my new brand new ride

1. Triump Tiger 850 Sport
2. Zuki P-Strom 800 DE
3. Tracer 9 GT (used)

I’m 6’4 and seek comfort and a bit of torque. Have always ridden sport bikes 600’s 1000’s
Have to buy baiku on Tuesday.
Are bong motorcycles reliable?
pls respond
>>
>>27758300
Any reason to not consider a Vstronk 1050? It's not a monster of a motor and would offer probably the most amount of legroom and comfiest seat. The Tracer does offer adjustable footpegs but a review from another 6'4 giant mentioned that he didn't love them even in the low position.

1050 is overkill, too bulk and heavy, plus the new one’s here in cuckanda are pushing 20k - the 800 DE is almost as big as the 1050. Almost.
Tiger 850 is 15k
Pstrom is 13k
Used tracer 9k

I'll go, I've dropped my bikes many times fucking around in the garage mostly. Twice I fell off while moving:
>riding with gf
>she takes wrong exit on round about and I follow
>realize it's a gravel dead end
>realize my entry speed is too fast and put on brakes likely a bit too hard
>wash out and go over handle bars with full gear and am fine
without the gear I probably would've been pretty beat up but alive surely.
other time
>in Utah riding alone on some trail in Glen canyon
>get to top of fun rocky hill, feeling confident
>next part of trail is sand and I go down kind of immediately
I say "kind of" because I did a slowmo 180 and then kind of just stopped and then stumbled off the pig.

They have a support rail, they're the SW Motech Blaze bags. One of the only saddlebag options I found that didn't interfere with also mounting a luggage rack on that bike (not pictured). You can also easily remove the supports when not using the bags if you care about the looks, no tools required.

The little black receptacle and female buckle stay on the bike. You press in a tab and the rail unlocks from the receptacle and slides out.

You basically are role-playing a troon. You're not outright avatarfagging, but you often post pictures of very young anime girls. Therefore, it can be assumed that you want the words you type to be read with a high pitched feminine voice. Give it another couple years and you'll start trooning IRL. Nobody fucking likes babytalk. You are a grown ass man (assumedly). Fucking talk and act like it. You don't have to be the pinnacle of masculinity, but read the fucking room, dood.

I like to ride my Ducati. Nothing Japanese
>>
>>27758468
Take the wind screen and hand guards off. Loose fitting jacket actually provides air pocket to buffer from the radiant heat of the sun. I also use a full mesh jacket. Short gloves let air run up the jacket sleaves and cool arm pits which makes a huge difference. Jeans keep the engine heat off my legs and help the sweat dry slower. Drink water.

Triple digits are when things get dicey for the human body and I stick to morning and evenings for my ride.

It's stylized to look like an old British bike
You can get new Triumphs with that look or if you're broke or just want something entry-level get a Royal Enfield 650. They make 650s in a bunch of different styles.
Honestly the REs look very nice in person although they have a reputation for leaving the factory with trash tires and a very "well it's technically a brake" brakes that is fairly well-earned.
>>

my mum always thought it was dangerous but her caveat was that I am ATGATT and wear bright colours. in retrospect it was a good idea since wearing all black is madly homosexual.

I ended up getting a boost and then as soon as I revved it up to take off I cooked my stator wires. These yellow wires are meant to have one of those white connectors. I yolod this shit to get me home and it didn't catch fire so thats a win. Luckily I was at my home gas station and not out in the willies.
The poor shadow took a beating. Awful roads chewed my rear tire all to fuck, it was already bad but now it's passed done. To top it all off, buddy's bike fell over and hit my exhaust cover so now it rattles like a mf.

No street equipment. Sometimes kick-starts. Enduro engines don't have to be optimized for gay ass emissions standards so they often use different lighter motors usually meaning air cooled. There's also other minor stuff like bigger stators and batteries and more oil onboard and other heavy stuff to make it so dual sports don't have to have 10 hour maintenance intervals too.

>>27758946
>>27758933
Only slightly related, but I've been thinking about trading my Harley for a dual sport, an XR650 or a KLX300. The XR is way more powerful and has no gaywad radiator at the cost of a mere 50lbs. The paintjob is cash too. Thing is I haven't ridden on dirt since I was 11 and borrowed my cousin's dirt bike. Will I break my legs if I try to learn dirt biking on the fuckhueg 650?

Is there a way to find out if an engine is an "interference engine"?
I was wondering about the gs500's engine.
>>
>>27758983
without googling youd have to remove the timing mechanism and spin the cams and crank to see if the valves would clash
>>
>>27758977
No, the throttle goes both ways but smaller bikes are more fun in dirt. If most use is on road get the 650.
>>
>>27758960
Inert gas is cheap and has no moisture so helium including meh grade balloon helium (don't weld with it) will do.

If you weld alloy get a cylinder of welding grade helium for your TIG machine. If you just want inert gas any welding gas including MIG mix will do, and small nitrogen cylinders are cheap so you can do your own car AC work off the same cylinder used for tires.

Ask a GS mechanic online if no joy with search engine. Apparently no piston clashing with valves by a quick glance but the valves might tangle if grossly overreved. There are so many if it were a problem it would be famous.

There was a gent on Weldingweb years ago who made full titanium Duck racing frames. If you have that kind of axle money a frame would do much more and be insanely cool.

No catalytic converters. Sometimes no electric start or batteries, but I think they all use them now. No load bearing subframe or passenger pegs. No lights. Small oil sumps. The piston size doesn't really matter. Aluminum wherever possible to keep weight down, like the subframe.

when a human loves something but does not understand it at all, the human is urged to praise it in any way they can. So instead of an oil change or some tires, maybe a fork rebuild, you paint it something on it or add stickers to it.

All the trim is silver because that was the style 15 years ago and therefore looks dated today.
The Monster >>27758494 is classic cause it was the first of it's kind.
If the Shiver had a black swingarm and black trim it would seem more 2020 and less 2010 cause it's a forward looking design engine/frame/forks wise but it was made to fit into a silver aesthetic that was popular back then.
A customizer could take the Shiver and make it look brand new with minimal changes.

You don't need to be the first of it's kind to be classic.
>If the Shiver had a black swingarm and black trim it would seem more 2020 and less 2010
Yes
>A customizer could take the Shiver and make it look brand new with minimal changes.
But why? It looks classic because it reflects the era it was built on. For you it might look dated and with a modern design it would look more current, but that's where you are wrong. It already looked modern when it came out and the silver accentuates it, back then silvery stuff was meant to look more modern and streamlined.
The Shiver is not my kind of bike but has a timeline defining look that also goes well it it's lines. It also gives a somewhat "exclusive" look associated with higher end or more exquisite brands such as an European on.

Now when I'm 30 I think I started liking it more than ever. It looks very unique, it's something you don't see very often. And obvliously none of us ever dreamed of something like this. I absoluitely would like to ride it hard and I'd like to own it. But those beauties are hard to find. We'll never see a bike like this again because restrictions are killing all the fun. They're not even trying to stop chinks and jeets from polluting our planet, they just want you to stop having fun.

I just just witnessed the kind of public spaghetti dropping I fear when I'm on bike.

It was while filling up my YBR after work. There was a guy on a MT-9 with a colour matched Patronas motoGP replica helmet and leathers. When he went to start it it wouldn't turn over so he went to kickstart it and couldn't so he walked it off the pump at the completely full forecourt and kept trying to start it but couldn't (he eventually did after like 10 minutes). I thought about going over to help but I realised that if I actually succeeded having someone half your age on a 125cc bike kickstart your bike for you would only make things more embarrassing and I might as well give him a gun to shoot himself at that point
>>
>>27760136
yeah good thinking i'd say
just leave him to it
>>
>>27759799
Only the new ones do but the old ones have reverse which works the same way but only takes you backwards.

The reverse and creep forward modes are invaluable as they act as a handbrake top when you need which is borderline required if you ever park on a steep hill or gravel. The new goldwings I think also have a lever for the "handbrake" which is nice as it never feels right hitting reverse just as a brake.
