Happy Friday! What are you working on this weekend? Come blog post about repairs, tools, and social justice.
>he has to work on his own carNot all of us are poor. lol
im putting the vvt solenoid in this 05 odyssey tomorrow, noticed it doesnt have another coolant leak, it has a blown head gasket. All the coolant is coming out of the overflow tank because it overflows. It will sit overnight and be 30 degrees in the morning, pop the radiator cap there's pressure in the radiator and its empty. Empty the overflow into the radiator, its not even full, overflow tank is empty, drive around all day, get home, its pissing coolant out of the overflow again because its over full, let it get cold as a dead body and the radiator is still under pressure. i know what happened too, the nigger jew the family member bought the car from got the car from his family member who let the timing belt break, and did a head job only 60k ago. That nigger jew put green coolant in the car. I cut this asshole out of my life over two years ago and he's still jewing it up.

Console swap. Such a worthwhile $100 quality of life upgrade.

>>28116998Doing the intake gaskets and new injectors on my vortec 350 soon bros, probably over thanksgiving weekend. This weekend I’m rebuilding the rear brakes and replacing a leaking cylinder on the passenger side.
If I had to choose a single bolt on for the 6.4 hemi with a tune what would net me the biggest bump in WHP? I'm not expecting anything crazy but another 20 would be nice

>>28117003I have cars worth more than 200k and still wrench on them myself. Your point?
Finally, space enough for a tire machine and balancer, just have to move the bikes aside.
>>28117642Bikes are such a hassle to store. They still take up so much space hanging from a wall. Too tall to hang from a ceiling.
More rust...
Now that the car is solid and goes down the road like it should, I can start to have fun
Just finished replacing 1 drive shaft and replacing boots on the other one. Long and painful job because the stupid lower control arm had to be forced downwards using a long lever to be able to get the CV shaft in and out, which was conveniently never mentioned in any of the service manuals ('just remove it bro!"). Replaced transmission seals while I was there. So glad that's over
>>28119266I replaced and repacked all 8 cv boots at once recently. Long dirty job but surprisingly not as miserable as I was dreading.
>>28119514Yeah once the axles are off the vehicle it's very easy and straightforward if you have the right tools.
