The second car was a Mitsubishi SUV with interstate plates on it so he can be excused for his error but the Jeet driving the Camry is retarded. He was entering an 80 km/h zone so a head-on with another car could've been a fatality.

there is one thing I wonder
if everyone are making their parallel twins to feel like a v-twins

why dont they all just make a v-twin bike? instead of making something that feel like like a v-twin?

Lol, I'm just happy with stock anon, less noise it makes the better, I can't do long days with shitty noise. But I'd consider a better tune on low displacement bikes. There are rpm where there is literally no power and feels fucked. I want smooth linear power.
>>
I have a DR650 and a tracer 9, and I find myself enjoying commuting on the DR more than the tracer. I find the tracer to be almost too much, even in a more conservative ride mode
if you're in a lower gear in feels like it's overrevving even if it isnt, but as soon as you upshift it instantly becomes flat and boring, it's like there's no good middle ground for the speeds you most often find yourself at on the road, and I'm constantly thinking about what gear I'm in , whereas on the DR I can just kind of enjoy the ride and lug around

What's a good street oriented bike that captures that same effect, manageable low end grunt? Midweight cruiser, like a super chief?

i saw that now the price are overall higher (like many more chinese brands i assume they start by having absurdly low prices to get you in) but the new bags and stuff they offer do look very nice, i think you could safely try get one to try

Sounds like you need a vtwin or a 270 ptwin. I love my 850GS, I'd suggest any of the ptwins from bear, vstrom 650, vstrom800, transalp 750, t7, 900GS.

It's funny you mention that, when I was shopping I had narrowed it down to between the tracer and the transalp, found a smoking deal on a lightly used tracer and that sealed it
>>
>>28990991
There is no way you drive up a one-way off ramp accidentally, even as a retard. This dipshit just assumed rules did not apply to him and the universe would simply comply. He's lucky he didn't kill anyone, because I've seen fatalities from people doing exactly this shit.

The CP3 is a wonderful, reliable motor, but I completely relate to what you mean for just "casual" riding. It has plenty of torque to be puttered around on at low RPM but it doesn't quite feel right. Peak torque is at like 6k RPM - if you rip the throttle back it just feels better and better as it climbs. It's ridiculously easy to bounce it off the limiter. If you ride it like that, it feels fucking great. But then you're going felony speeds in 2nd or 3rd gear. It's amazing in the track, or in the mountains, and it has enough range that you don't feel constrained by the power band like on typical I4 sportbikes of similar power with lesser displacement. It's also great at high speed cruising - freeways or back highways where you can just sit at 80-90mph for extended periods and it feels like it's completely comfortable and not stressed at all just around 5krpm

When just cruising around though... It just feels exactly like you describe. Unless you're accelerating it feels like you're missing something.

It's ultimately why I sold my XSR900 and kept my CB1100. The slower, heavier 1100 feels great at any speed or throttle position.

depends on the area but where i live its like a passport afaik. there's one where it's just expired and is straight up simply a tax and you get a new license no fuss, but if its expired for long enough or for certain reasons (which DONT include being a bad driver, it's more political reasons like "you ceased to be a citizen while it was expired" type stuff) you have to do it all again including initial knowledge tests and a road test but the probationary periods are waived and you can speedrun getting a "new" "full" license

no but it's chinese and it only broke because it dropped off the sproket and the entire drivetrain seized. the chinese engine, however, did not care and i lost a spoke or two and the chain then was torn asunder after binding against the "chainstay"/"swingarm" whilst the engine spun happily being no longer under load

You are the reason its coming, from pure negligence i doubt any other failure than you left a grubby old stretched shitty chain probs missing its o-rings and well beyond its use and you gonna risk it for the sake of the biscut
You have no idea where things are bent and exploding, youre out a rear tire also, could be tons of shit siezed and fucjed in your gearbox, idk sounds like a shitshow until you pull it apart
But you want to save the catastrophic failure chain

>>
>>28992006
bread on hood (fuel tank?) or it is fake
>>
>>28992012
>>how could this happened
i know exactly how it happened; tension was too slack so the transfer from load of pedalling/electric drive to the engine drive created a sudden shift in where what little tension there was was, so the chain jumped off the driven sproket, wrapping itself around the chainstay and jamming the spokes around, locking the rear wheel, but the drive sproket still had purchase on the chain and went happily. however, the final drive sproket held fast to the hub and the chainstay preserved its corporeal form, so the chain gave way and took a couple spokes with it. the engine was in fact still running after all this and because of further chink/hick construction i had to turn it off for any further movement to be done safely by closing the carb airflow (thankfully the engine had fully ejected the chain by the time i was at a full stop)

>i didnt even see it coming
in my first few "does it run at all" tests usually it was the chain leaving its sproket in the clutch case, which was similarly catastrophic but not destructive, but would still lock the wheel. but that stopped happening after i got tension to what i thought to be good enough. it was not good enough. but i rode in such a way that i was prepared for a catastrophic failure involving locking of the rear wheel so i didnt crash, i just stopped very suddenly (but remained upright)

>>
>>28991454
Who cares if the front master has issues, it'd be a huge upgrade to replace that Nissin POS with a HEL or Brembo unit.
>>
>>28992029
afaik modern bikes have electronically controlled valves so it doesnt matter but if you have something more primitive, exhaust tuning is a thing. you gotta maintain enough backpressure from the exhaust to keep good compression, but not so much that the engine is struggling to exhale and damages performance or in worst case accumulates literal soot in the cylinders. but also balanced against straight piping that shit where half your "exhaust" is just unburnt gas and fresh air

feel free to disregard, my iq is too low to even avoid my chain shattering. but at least thats what ive heard about exhaust tuning.

i did experience it first hand though once, somehow my exhaust fell off and i only noticed because i noticed a severe drop in power. tightened the exhaust back on and suddenly i had all 1.5hp available again now that there wasnt a half-inch gap to the air straight off the cylinder
>>
>>28992045
ok so its not backpressure but vacuum continuity or whatever, still, your exhaust system needs to work (and depending on port location and ignition timing method, not simply yeet unburnt gas out the side, which is a concern on cheap or poorly designed engines (all engines available to consoomers))

but once more, with now-ancient cam-actuated valves, let alone actually modern electronically controlled ones, it is a complete non-issue
>>
>>28992051
Do yourself a favour and watch 2 wheel dyno works on YouTube for a bit
>>
>>28992055
but once more, with now-ancient cam-actuated valves, let alone actually modern electronically controlled ones, it is a complete non-issue

even if the exact mechanics are fuddlore if you want to get work out of expanding gas in one direction, it's generally best if other directions aren't available. my understanding is it's only a concern on the smallest two-stroke engines where your air-fuel mix can conceivably just be blasted straight into the exhaust since you simply don't have enough space to prevent it by the cylinder blocking it during compression so you >COPE by maintaining higher pressure in the exhaust system. less of a problem on more modern engines with actual valves or even shitty old but big engines where you simply have more space to work with

Any 4 stroke bike you can buy today (and possibly ever) is cam actuated. As far as I know only MotoGP uses pneumatic valve actuation.
2 strokes use expansion chambers in the exhaust to push air/fuel mixture back into the cylinder.

>>
>>28992114
lil bro thinks i dont have a battery and a couple litres of fuel before i have to even consider anything as barbaric as using my legs

i just meant that the direction of pull on the chain shifts depending on whether i'm on gas at all or not on gas at all. it's not a center drive ebike its on, its a fwd hub motor (equally satanic, but at least mechanically simpler and arguably more powerful) so chain tension shifts from a driving action to a being-driven action at a given end and it causes problems

in fact last time i exploded my machine it was testing if i can use both at once. the answer is "probably better not"

>>
>>28992163
>Or you could get a engineered for speed platform
that would both be less fun and require i spend far more money in a single installment

i'd sooner strap a 212cc OHV from Princess Auto to the 28" bike i have half-stripped than just buy a 215cc motorcycle off a lot.

and honestly about 55kmh is where i feel like the vehicle i'm on is shaking enough that even if it could go faster, it really shouldn't, and even if it were built better, one pothole will change that very quickly

>and a rates chain
it was normal 415 chain and i even bought a second length of it because the original plan was to do all this nonsense to an MTB and have the engine mounted wayyyy higher. ended up getting a grandma bike when the mtb's e-parts died just as a simple commuter, realized the engine fit better there, and now that's that. there's still some really dire design decisions borne of engineering limitations but right now the only critical problem is chain alignment/tension and the only even notable other problem is the gas tank is mounted wonkily with its stopcock basically level to the carb fuel intake, but it's a flexible hose and there's some line above it so it struggles to start and needs to maintain succ to keep going
