>Anything from a 300-650 twin would be a much better choice, emphasis on the 300-500 range.
This advise has to come from either a jeet or an american. A student in Europe gets seated in MT-07 on his first lesson like I was, and that student has absolutely no issues with that power on his first throttle usage and during his lessons. In fact the government MANDATES a student starts his lessons on respective motorcycle class, which for the class A is around 650cc and 70hp. And here comes the anon and says you should downgrade to 300cc. That's pure retardism, sorry not sorry.
>>
>>29055371
A is not beginner class so fair play from that anon.
>>
>>29055376
Oh yeah? So someone who gets it is an experienced rider although his license was issued a day before?
>>
>>29055371
Given how most driver are on meth or their phones, I agree with you. You need to be experienced to have a bike with no power to yeet yourself out of trouble.

Why do so many euros start on those little 125cc or restricted A2 500cc etc bikes? I don't want anon going faster than he is capable of braking or cornering when he's just starting out.

>Why do so many euros start on those little 125cc or restricted A2 500cc etc bikes
Because they are teens. A1 witg 125cc is allowed from 16yo and A2 with 48hp from 18yo.

I'm not suggesting the bike is going to flip him over backwards, although the CP3 is capable of that. I'm saying that anon is probably going to want to hit up the mountains, and a bike that he can break traction on corner exit easily and/or fling himself into a corner with more speed than he's comfortable and he'll potentially freeze up and fuck up, compared to a slow bike where he's going to have to learn good lines and good braking.

yep, age restrictions. I'm 37 and I'm getting my full A licence now (practical test on monday), no A1/A2. the driving school's bike I'm learning on is a CB750 Hornet

I had been riding for 7 years before I rented an XSR700, and it was hilariously fast. Completely inappropriate for a beginner. Also just... Not a great bike in general. Very agricultural and unrefined. Handled poorly, vibrated a lot, and all of the controls were clunky.

500cc is the limit, so sayeth I.
>>
>>29055404
>Vibrated
Something was fucked on it, won't dispute the handled poorly part though.
>>
>>29055406
No, it was working completely normally. Coming from a Honda, other bikes just feel like shit. The seat was also too hard, the clutch too heavy, the gearbox clunky and hard to work without the clutch, I could go on.
I did like its thick handlebars though, and I liked how small and light it felt.
>>
>>29055409
No, I mean I had one for years and that motor was a peach, perfectly smooth. Sounds like it needed an oil change and the clutch cable needed to be lubed, the transmission hates old oil.
>>
V-Strom 1000 had a V-twin engine with 2x number the cylinder heads and 2x number of cams. So why is a piss twin V-Strom 1050 not lighter?
>>
>>29055422
The 1050 is the same exact engine you fucking retard. Still the same block dating back to the TL1000.
