self driving cars sound like a blessing. while I don't want to completely give up driving myself, a self driving car can make long commutes to work a non-issue.

When I drive myself, if a dangerous situation appears I at least have the chance to course correct and I trust myself on that part because I have an extremely fast reaction time, one of the best in the world. In a robotaxi, if a dangerous situation appears, you MUST trust the machine to course correct because you have no other option. When the machines can achieve 100% no accident rate, maybe then I'll let go of my executive functioning while driving

We invested too much time and money in the past developing roads but we have a really competent road system. We can't remove the cars but we can remove the dependency on owning them.
