I went out hiking today for the first time during winter and came across this, what the fuck?
>>
Bodies?
>>
>>2805027
It's okay to kick them, but if you touch or lick them you may leave genetic material behind that would get you implicated in their deaths.
>>
>>2805027
Did they died
>>
>>2805027
if it's not too windy with proper clothing and tight sleeping bags you could sleep outdoors without a tent. I don't see the issue. Probably want more ground insulation tho tent or not tent
>>
>>2805027
That's somebody's fuck spot, anon. Give them some privacy.
>>
>>2805027
Suffocation.
>>
>>2805027
looks warm enough desu
>>

>neanderthals and european sapiens survived in weather like this for hundreds of thousand of years
>modern humans with access to modern technology freeze to death and die
we need to go back
>>
>>2805027
Definitely camped out in just a bag before, that picture could be 40 degrees down to -100, so who knows.
>>
Not ideal but if they waited till dark to stop skiing and set up camp that can work. Appears to be dug in away from wind.
>>
>>2805027
Yeah, who uses a sleeping bag with such a wide hood in winter?
I've camped out like that before, but even the ~5cm hole on my def 4 is letting in enough cold air that my breath condenses and freezes in my beard. Using one of those indoor sleeping bags sounds like torture.

Humidity is so low in some alpine environments that a bivy can easily be vented. This is one of the few appropriate uses for one.
>>
The Boy Scouts long ago became a social club for sons of single moms who wanted to outsource a solution for the need for boys to have male role models.
>>
Did you though? Are you Doug?
>>
Doug?

>>2805213
Hold up, did this guy actually find two dead bodies and just breeze over it to continue talking about cross country skiing / hike to the top of a peak in the adacks?
>>
>>2805226
No idiot
It's just a random Indian that stole a picture off of Facebook and made a thread with it
>>
>>2805228
This is the kind of content you guys want though.
>>
Bait thread

People do bivy like that. They were probably perfectly comfortable.
>>
>>2805234
What?
>>
>>2805257
OP posted some guys adventure from some other social media site, and made it look like he found some frozen corpses on /out/.
>>
>>2805281
OP is just the Facebook OP. It's not rocket science.
>>
>>2807586
Exactly lmao
>>
>>2805027
mhm mhm I've seen this a few times too
>>
>>2805027
>boo hoo, no one told me i would come across dead bodies in my new hobby
Aww. Are you going to cry, faggot?

Brugly what

>neanderthals and european sapiens survived in weather like this for hundreds of thousand of years
They used shelter in those days
>>
>>2809933
So? Pre industrial peasants and even the wealthy woke up to negative degrees dumb ass. If you’re white that’s why you wake up at 3AM. 400,000 years of thals and european sapiens waking up to stoke the fire.
>>
>>2809939
Yeah no. your shitty little larp there is flat out wrong. Humans for hundreds of thousands of years have known to find shelter not just from the weather but from predators. Fire also isn't some "new" invention. They weren't freezing themselves to death and magically living. Your picture about them having frost on their eyebrows is pure larp. Peasants in Medieval times weren't braindead. They had pretty damn good shelter and knew very well how to keep warm with fires.

/out/ is filled with granola crunching, tree hugging, earth muffin hippies. You're not going to talk sense into these people. They're democrats, they rejected reality decades ago and live in a fantasy land where history, facts and common sense don't matter. You're wasting your breath on these retard trannies.

Tourists. I slept like that a few times, the only difference is I had a tarp, cause it was snowing. Winter camping is cool because no bugs.

Ngmi and clearly typed by brown hands.
Many many many such cases of people not having resources for fire and yet still surviving sub zero temperatures using little more than animal furs and pine boughs. A properly rated sleeping bag should keep any Caucasian Sapiens nice and comfortable. Fire or no.
>no anon you can’t claim Europeans and Neanderthals thrived in arctic conditions for hundreds of thousands of years!
>that’s impossible
Jfc this place.

>>no anon you can’t claim Europeans and Neanderthals thrived in arctic conditions for hundreds of thousands of years!
Yes, I can. Fire was invented over 1.5M years ago and there's evidence of this. Neanderthals roamed from 400k years ago to 40k years ago. You are fucking retarded if you think these people didn't know how to make fire in the environments they lived. Evidence for humans living in locations that had arctic conditions only dates back to 45k years ago and they were smart enough to make fire using bones. You are fucking braindead if you think Inuits and other arctic natives just walked around never knowing how to make fire. Then again American Education is on part with Africa now I read so it makes sense.

>Fire was invented over 1.5M years ago
Imagine believing something like this
Bruh. Lmao
>>
>>2805153
>>2809939
human ancestors learned to harness fire over a million years ago.
>>
>>2805027
looks like nerve gas, anon. stay well clear.
