I've wondered this my self. Know a guy who got busted by a GW for growing weed in his fenced off backyard. The GW opened the gate to go in the backyard because he claimed he was tracking an injured deer. Never mind that fence was over 7 feet tall and in no way could an injured deer hop it. Any other form of law enforcement would have had to get a warrant to go through a gate. Wardens just have a magical bullshit excuse they can use any time they want.
