I did porter and cascade a few days ago and it was filled with fat people. Why the fuck were people telling me, me hiking 5 miles a day every day for the past month not fit enough for he adirondacks? there was so many fat people in these "mountains" is this some sort of cope for these people to feel better about their hills by making them seem like big achievement?
There is literally nothing wrong with being fat and enjoying hiking (and going slowly).
>>2833888nothing wrong with it as long as you follow these simple rules:NO diet talk, NO weight loss talk, NO body shaming and NO bigotry of any kindhttps://fatgirlshiking.com/
>>2833924that poor bridge
You need to go higher. Mont Blanc Guides fitness guide: 'We don't discriminate but the mountain will'. Literally have 5 body profiles, the first two are good, the middle not so good but maybe if you work some off fatty, last two fuck off.
>>2833887>Cascade and PorterLet me know how many fat people you see on the Great Range Traverse or HaBaSa, Dix Range, Giant-Dix Traverse, Giant and RPR from the east, Colden Trap Dyke, Allen, Santanoni Express, and other non-touristy routes in the ADK. Cascade and Porter are widely considered to be the easiest 46ers and those fatties were probably struggling anyway.
>>2833946>Giant-Dix TraverseSee you at the summit, /out/ sisters!
>>2833954I would throw this faggot off the side of the mountain.
>>2833960it's ok to be gay
>>2833887>and it was filled with fat peoplefat people and retards apparently
>>2833966>The answer always seems to be “more hiker education.”Yes, because America has become a nation of pussies. The obvious solution is to tell people to fuck off, but we can’t do that. Why? Because the people who make the rules, the people who enforce those rules, and the general milieu is just straight up gay.Enforce a permit system. Yes, even for day hikes. Close some trail heads. Rip up some parking lots. Making these places harder to access will keep people away.
>>2833887>reee fat people can hike?!?!Unless it's a very technical proper "CLIMB" anyone that paces themselves can make it to the top of most peaks.>t. 200lb fatty who made it to the top of a 14er in CO
>>2833978>have a problem>can't figure out solution to problem>just put a price tag in front of the problemWhat a jewish idea
>>2833988>price tagWho said anything about charging a fee?
>>2833924I don't see the issue? Those seem like pretty simple rules to follow for a group focused on overweight women hiking, and they're actually /out/ unlike most of us here.
>>2833987Overweight people can be adept climbers too. Often better at climbing than hiking because it involves less cardio.
>>2833978They're actually making a harder trail for that mountain to keep fat people off of it, they're literally discriminating on people because of their fitness, they're literally making the trail more difficult so the average person can't enjoy nature anymore.
>>2833954>the Yosemite trannies
>>2834035No one's stopping out-of-shape hikers from enjoying nature in the Adirondacks. There's an auto road on Whiteface and plenty of easier hikes beyond the 46ers. The new Cascade trail doesn't sound like it will be harder, just longer.
>>28340642000+ ft of elevation gain is wayyyyy too much for me - it's definitely excessive for my body >There's an auto road on Whitefacebased>and plenty of easier hikes beyond the 46ersdouble based
>>2833924w-whats shiking??
>>2834066The easiest mountain "hike" (if you can call it that) is Belfry Mountainhttps://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/belfrey-mountainSlightly tougher but still easy is Coney Mountain. 360 degree views for light hiking is a great payoffhttps://www.tupperlake.com/hiking/coney-mountainProspect Mountain in Lake George is the other mountain besides Whiteface that you can drive upOther easy hikes that I can think of: Kane, Bald, Stillwater, and Watch Hill. Plenty more can be found on the Adirondack Junior 29er hiking challenge: https://adk29er.com/index.cfmJust avoid the blue trail on Black Bear Mountain if you don't like rock scrambling. The rest aren't bad at all.
>>2833999based and trueand what does everyone think will happen if they keep hiking? Take a guess
