>>2836185As I recall it was mostly spore trees back then. Conifers came much later. Spore trees didn't have solid trunks but a hardened bark and hollow center. Supposedly there was nothing that ate them during the carboniferous era, so their dead material kept building up until millions of years later microbes evolved to digest it, and that's why there's so many coal and hydrocarbon deposits from that era and thus the name.

I guess it depends. If my presence would cause a butterfly effect, I'd stay away. If I know for a fact that my presence there is a vacuum and won't affect the timeline at all, then absolutely. I love dragonflies, and big ones would be neat. I wouldn't think the amphibians would be tough to deal with as long as I had a weapon.
