It seems like a higher risk, lower reward game. I know that more elevation doesn't always equal more fun but I don't think the likehood of avalanches equals fun either. I don't think any kind of fun is worth almost 30% kill rate. And if you just wanna kill yourself in mountains, you can try rock climbing with no rope or simply hiking in winter in swimsuit.
