Starting with Death Stranding (didn't play the second one yet)
This is the game that got me into backpacking, I was like "can I do this shit irl too?"
Skyrim
Anybody know which real mountain the throat of the world is modeled after?
Elden Ring
Ark Survival Evolved
MajulaCurrently have an injured knee so I cant go outside for a while, playing these games to simulate the feeling lol

Farcry 5 is my favourite out style game
>>2855879Red Dead Redemption 1-2The Hunter Call of the WildThe Forrest 1-2Vintage StoryI also like Rimworld with mods so I can roleplay as an American frontier colony.
>>2855879UnReal World is the bestest /out/ game
>>2855879Dragons dogma
>>2855879The forest
Steep is the best skiing game
>>2855915I also love it for the /out/ feel. I wish there was a way to reduce the number of hostiles so I don't have to constantly fight them off while exploring or fishing/ hunting. I also really enjoy The Long Dark. I'm hoping Blackfrost is good as well.
>>2855879>/out/ video gamesPokemon Go maybe? They're generally mutually exclusive. Stop being fat.

>>2855884>Install campfire>Install hunterborn>Never visit a town once
>>2858828This is the game that got me out, and definitely the most /out/ so far. I've had month-long hikes since being a teen and have barely played any video games in the last few years. yet somehow this still influences me and how I hike to this day
>>2855879way of the hunter on sale for $3https://store.steampowered.com/app/1288320/Way_of_the_Hunter/ steal of a price, the game properly simulates ballistics and animal herds unlike call of the wild so if you are interested in a realistic hunting sim this is the best one.only $4.49 for the elite edition too which has the africa and alaska map plus a sxs shotgun.
>>2855879>The Hunter: Call of the WildThe ultimate chill. Dem godrays, that Yukon Valley.>The Long DarkShitty grafics but nice unforgiving approach to winter survival>The Forest Atmospheric, you can make soup out of niggers.
>>2855879is the new avatar game any good? i've seen it being shilled as having "the best forest in all videogames" or some bullshit
For complexity of survival: The long darkIf you want something that looks nice: The Hunter: Call of the Wild and Call of the Wild: The Angler. (the second one being fishing), but both are very DLC heavy.
>>2855879Best /out/ game ever made

>>2855879Parts of RDR 2 feel like Jackson/Grand Teton/Yellowstone in Wyoming. I used to live/work at the Tetons and it gave me some serious Déjà vu, it was awesome
Can anything come close? And I haven't even tried the survival mod yet.

new climbing game is out. i'm having fun so far.
I want a game that lets me explore Africa or South America as a Victorian hunter and adventurer. I want to blast cannibals and elephants with a gun that dislocates my shoulder and smoke from a comically sized pipe through my massive moustache. Is there anything like that?
>>2859772closest thing you are gonna get is sons of the forest.https://store.steampowered.com/app/1326470/Sons_Of_The_Forest/it's set in south america and you kill cannibals. no muskets but there's a rifle and a shotgun.only other game i know of where you kill cannibals is green hell, which doesn't have guns. and neither have elephants, which is quite rare for any game to have.
>>2859774Played both of the Forest games. Fun times.I'm specifically looking for Victorian adventure. Cannibals and elephants are secondary, but I think the whole era is ripe for gaming.
>>2859747Cairn is tight. Can't wait to get home and play it some more
You should try Infrahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7-ywVUx-kU
>>2859747finished it yesterday, probably the best climbing game so far. it does get the feeling of climbing across pretty well, how you slowly inch yourself upwards while always at the risk of falling. story is alright, it gets the ethos of mountaineering across which was nice to see
Has anyone played Green Hell?
>>2860222i have, it's not as fun as the long dark for me, but it's quite enjoyable for a while.kinda tedious to pick leeches off you constantly though.
