You don't need an SLR and that's the final /p/ blackpill. I love my Point and Shoot clunky brick shithouse cameras from the 80s and 90s. That's all.

You don't need a camera, gearfag.

A pencil and a piece of paper will make a picture of your cat just fine.

Whats it like to be an overconsooming hylic?

You don't need to be a photographer.
You don't need to post on 4chan.
And you're obviously cognizant of the fact you don't need to take good photos because you took 2 pictures of soulless concrete and let the thread die

Who do you think you're fooling?

>Puts camera and film in the corner
Lmao its a gearfig. Yes, gearfig. You do not deserve to be called a gearfag. At least gearfags have tons of awesome sex with their bros and play around with leicas. Sheesh. You are a gear FIG. A shriveled fruit.

I think its too small to hold comfortably but still too big to have in your pocket unnoticeable so one might as well get a biggee cam on a wrist strap.

It's fun but it's very much form before function. The rangefinder patch on the original XA is absolutely a meme. It's dim and the focus throw is so short that you end up zone focusing most of the time, so basically using it like an XA2. Advancing with the thumb-wheel gets old and rewinding with the puny knob is pretty annoying. Honestly nowadays my Pentax 17 has effectively replaced my XA.

This is true.
SLRs are a pain in the ass to take with you unless you are specifically going out to take photos.
The best camera is the one you have with you, and the worst camera is the one left behind.
