Just use the small square size, hold & squeeze. If you want it so gud like cum in ur own mouth, then program a button to 200% zoom, so when you AF on a spot, you can see that spot nice & clear, and it'll do the same. But sometimes that makes me want to gouge my eyes out with skewers. So I don't.

It's an approximation. Don't use pinpoint AF, it's precise without giving you an accurate frame target. I like to use the 3D tracking mode which also gives you a smallish box, slap that puppy on whatever you want in focus and bob's your uncle. It's doing a lot of processing under the hood. If you want focus confirmation, punch in on the preview and confirm yourself. The Z6 and Z6II (and Z7s) have annoying AF, but if you trust them they're actually quite accurate on most of the automatic modes.

When you outsell every non canon brand combined, the sample size necessitates a few lemons. I’d worry more about fuji and panasonic having as many failures with a fraction of the sales. I just want the Z7+ to do 2 more things. 1, Trap mode, so I can just set it and when a fucking bird lands in front of it spray it with assplosures, and 2, stream the fucking preview to the ipad. I mean fully, and high resolution. So I can focus that shit on the big fat fuckoff high res 13" ipad display, see the histogram & settings either on a sidebar on the ipad or off on the cameras display itself, so that shits' not covering the image, then shoot the bitch with a tap on the ipad. Let me use a fucking mini so I can strap it to my cock, I mean wrist, and it's like a perfect HUD for the body. Instead Nikon has like 7 different apps, none of which work, or install on various operating systems, or they need a cameras built in wifi & then can't dump the shots to your notebook without killing the notebooks network connection, or what the fuck, but you can count on them not working & being a clusterfuck. Fix your fucking bluetooth module you bastards, it has never worked jfc.

Kits just don't usually contain premium glass. The f/1,8 just happened to be Nikon's cheapest 50 until the 1,4 came along. Checking my usual camera store the bundles with high end cameras (Z8, R5ii) come with f/4 standard zooms, so while not the notorious crap that "kit lenses" have come to mean to many, it isn't exactly the top end stuff either.
