Alexander Gardner, a Civil War photographer who drug actual corpses around to create dramatic scenes (pic related). He also took one of the last portraits of Lincoln, was present for the autopsy of James Wilkes Booth onboard the USS Montauk, took portraits of the remaining co-conspirators of the Lincoln assassination at the Washington Navy Yard, and photographed the execution by hanging of the conspirators sentenced as such at Fort McNair in DC.
