in italy we have some good publishers like Contrasto but yea, quite frustrating the artificial scarcity - i dont think theres that little interest in photobooks or just regular photography books.. but idk

>>4442645Yeah I know they're not great for photo books, I've found probably less than half of what I was looking for and usually in poor quality. I don't know how it is where you live but as a last resort I think you can request books from your local library and they can bring them in from other locations if they exist in the archive. I've never done that however, I just heard that you could.
Nothing personal by Nikita Teryoshin. It's recent so you can actually get it and I thought it was very good. If your into street you can also still get Melissa O'Shaughnessy's recent photo book which was spectacular.

I don't own a single photo book and never been interested in owning one, but is there really this huge market for them? I seem people talk about Leica pricing when referring to some of them. Perhaps I should start looking for them when out thrifting.

>>4442635>>4442645It's mostly a compression thing. Those archives are really meant for text and simple pictures to supplement the text. With good photo books, text supplements the pictures. It's frustrating, but there's still good stuff to grok.
What are some good tips to get photo books for cheap? On second hand online websites here people try to sell even the common stuff for either retail prices or more expensive, where usually Amazon second hand has better prices. Local yard sales are a miss because those books are not really popular to that kind of demographic
