Snapshit from a concert.
Has anyone had the opportunity to bring their gear to a professional venue? I’m wondering how hard it is to be push freelance media coverage for an average sized venue. This one didn’t seem to have any other than the band’s photographer.

How would you crop this image?

I like that brown spot in the corner but because it was shot from a car at speed it's messed up
>>
>>4501946
I'd probably crop off the bottom a little and try to keep the horizon as the top third of the image instead of cropping too high and making it start at the middle.

If I wanted to be really boring I'd say he should put the horizon in the middle. Either have the horizon really high or have it really low, middle is boring trash for a landscape photo.

I've heard it is easy to make this kind of pictures, like "happy Corgi is happy".
And it is NOT easy to make something really special like pic rel.
And by special I meant something unusual, not something exactly like pic rel.

The problem is nobody wants to see some dysgenic excuse for a “dog” and frame such a stinking mutants deformed face and dangling balls, so the quirk chungus ugly dog photo market is oversaturated already (one guy did that, it was funny and unique, dont do it again), and nearly every aesthetically pleasing and wholesomely humorous sort of dog photo has been done ten thousand times and made the header for ten thousand blog posts about dogs and spammed all over instagram ad naseum. Much like cat pictures. Because these animals are in 24/7 contact with over two hundred million people in one country alone.

Dog photography is simply not worth over sharing beyond your immediate social circle. Nobody cares about your fat husky, smelly german shepherd, or inbred corgi. Maybe one or two pictures, fine. But over and over again, as obviously all someone shoots… stop already. Photography is wasted on people like that.
>OH BOY ANOTHER MEDIOCRE CENTER FRAMED BOKEH DOG ON A WALK/IN YOUR HOUSE/BACKYARD
>i can do that too
>google image search: your dog breed here shot on dslr
>>
>>4502034
PS:
At least cat pictures are universally entertaining.

The demeanor of the d*g is cold and distant, reserved, especially around their owner and their incessant snapshitting. Always looking away, wanting to do something else. Or maybe begging for a treat. Cats infantile faces, irrational behaviors and more flexible bodies are more immediately humorous and easy to project fanciful scenarios onto so cats being silly beats a german shepherd glancing at a treat but actually wanting to fuck off and sniff grass every single time.

Cat photos > dog photos

Dog photos are just a waste. Waste. All that gear for that????
>>

this
>omg guys
>look at my dog
>with bokeh
>x100
we get it you like your dog. but your dog isnt a fuckin show winner striking an epic pose so its just a dog sitting there being boring.

>>4502035
true. when people actually want to see pics of an animal just being there its usually pics of cats. caturday not doggerday.

i notice on /p/ dog “photography” is an excuse for owning a camera to be a gearfag with and taking test shots
