You can put a solar panel on a vehicle and a battery it charges on the inside and become an electric nomad now. People will call you homeless, but this seems pretty Indo-European to me. I'm roughing it right now and learning what I really need - which right now is some better window covers, which I can make out of cardboard painted black, and some battery powered LED lights so I'm not fumbling around in the dark trying not to alert nearby homo-ners that I have decided to live in their neighborhood for 12 hours or so, which does feel like something hst might warrant some suspicion, to be fair, as I am a single man and I could get the jump on someone this way, abd they have no way of telling I am not some kind of rapist or thief or eavesdropper.

I dont think it's that simple. statistics can be manipulated and twisted in so many ways, or misrepresented. At the end of the day, the same way ideas need to be verbally explained, debates need to go on in order to discuss ideas. The only problem with that is, I don't think I've ever seen a functional debate in which there's any real progress being done, because people don't stick to the point and keep changing topics, or don't listen / don't want to address the other guy's point, or are simply proven wrong but don't care.

Most of the time, you have to accept that the people who don't see it, are enemies and are in the way if you want to make society work, and that's about it.

Fundamentally, the problem with climate change is retards using it as an excuse to dictate what you can or cannot use in your own home; then they'll tell you that if you continue to enjoy being warm in winter and having hot showers every morning to stay clean or leave your lights on to deter burglars etc that somehow by magic the sea level will rise, your home will flood and if you don't install a chinese solar panel on the roof then you're just another climate denier. It's all polemic, annoying and ignores the laws of thermodynamics whilst also playing hard into predictions and forecasts in the future to strike fear into you for daring to grill in your garden.

but leftists are not playing the personal responsibility card or trying to normalize about leaving the lights on. In fact, they are specifically calling out energy companies for basically shunting responsibility for emissions onto their end use customers when those customers have virtually no decision-making power about what kind of wells are drilled or how much fracking is done, or how much coal is burned, etc etc.

What leftists are saying is that the energy companies need to be forced into emitting less because it's clear they're not going to do that if left to their own devices. Part of that is regulatory, and part of that is taking away invisible fossils fuel subsidies that have been making those energy sources artificially competitive for years. When you hear people say "take PTC/ITC away from renewables because they're distorting the market" you should ask them - and yourself - why we should disadvantage renewables at the same time as we are shoving money into oil, natgas, and coal supply chains.
