For example, organised Islamic terrorism was a regular occurrence in western countries for most of the 2000s and 2010s. It was everywhere in the public consciousness. Extremist Muslims used to bomb tube stations and shoot up theatres killing hundreds of people at a time and now they've been reduced to random schizos stabbing people.

You would think some people would get credit for dismantling these terror groups, or that people who said the only solution was Total Muzzie Death would face some more scrutiny, but instead we have just moved on.

What does this say about society?
