No the focus is still Pokrovsk/Myrnohrad, as well as the other towns in Donetsk oblast, and will remain the top priority because they need/want the entirety of the Donbas under their control. Any movements elsewhere are as a result of successful pressure by the Russians and successful retreats by the Ukrainians who continue to extract a high price for minimal Russian advances for fairly cheap land to give up control of. The ability of the AFU to continue to inflict heavy damage against the Russians isn't a god-given permanent ability however and that is Russia's long-term hope - that the AFU's killing ability will not be able to keep up whilst Russia loses another million, or more, men who can be bullied and tortured into zergrushing Ukrainian positions.

After almost 3 years of grueling battles, more than a million russians dead, tens of thousands of armored vehicles destroyed, hundreds of planes flying eternally, tens of boats sunk and trillions lost, what does the russia have to show? Besides the initial blitz combined with traitorous Ukrainian command in the south, what has the russian war machine gained through sheer military effort?
Mariupol, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Toretsk. They managed to capture 4 cities with a population of over 30,000 people (I put 50,000 there initially but then I'd have to leave out Toretsk and Avdiivka). Think about all that wasted life and materiel, and what they achieved.

>COPELORD EDITED THE GRAPH
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-09-19/russian-fuel-flows-slump-as-plants-hit-home-demand-prioritized

Anyway for anons who care to dig into the detail - Russia has been forced into export bans and price controls for both petrol and diesel - and is refusing to compensate refineries for lost revenue from not being able to export. At the same time hundreds of petrol stations, and possibly over a thousand now, have gone completely dry all over Russia.

>If Russia threatens blackout in Kyiv, Moscow should expect the same – Zelenskyy

Quote: "We should not be overly cautious in rhetoric with the Russians if they issue threats. I believe civilised countries must take the same tone. It seems to me wrong to deal with the uncivilised in a civilised manner, both in rhetoric and in more substantive actions on the battlefield and towards Russia.

When Russia sets out every winter to cut power in Ukraine, I see no reason why our response and that of our partners should be any different. Russia must clearly understand that civilised nations differ from the barbaric in that they never strike first and are not aggressors, but that does not mean they are weak. Showing weakness is not an option. If they threaten a blackout, for example, in the capital of Ukraine, then the Kremlin must know there will be a blackout in the capital of Russia."

It's politicians doing politician things on both sides, anon. Politics is very dirty and very rarely highly moral people not only somehow get in there but also stay and manage to achieve things despite the resistance the mechanism mounts against them because they refuse to do like the rest.
For what it's worth I'd very much prefer someone more like Tusk here. Democracy isn't perfect and no representative ever represents all of us. Normally in our country a President's position and executive branch in general doesn't have that much power, and the Parliament actually has more or less enough people to represent almost everyone at least in theory.

Here's also the reminder that "this whole ordeal" was kept alive, started, persecuted and perpetrated by russia and only russia
Ukraine didn't force "russia" to invade
The fact of the matter is that the kremlin regime would be destabilized if Ukraine got better without russian influence and putin has this retarded imperial affectation

Based spydell enjoyer. His digestions of what little Rosstat publishes these days are very worthwhile reading for people who like the business side of things.

The third column comparing with pre-pandemic Russia is extremely illuminating. It tells you exactly where all the new Russian financing has gone for the war.

>Medicine: +127%
>Metal products, non-machinery: +170%
>Electronics: +124%
>Vehicles, non-civilian: +251%

The only ones with triple-digit percentage increases versus 2019 stats.

Furniture production being down 13% implies that the housing market is suffering pretty badly. I really badly want a suprime mortgage crisis to occur, it would be so fucking funny

Let me guess, they sent all the pre-invasion qualified engineers to the front and they are now compost somewhere in the Kharkiv region.
To replace them they put a bunch of new guys through an unserious qualification course and if they fail they can bribe their way to passing and the commanders in charge rubber stamp it all and say voila, everything is fine so let's sail.
This consequence is but one of many. It's already happening in the civil aviation industry hence hwy they keep begging America for Boeings. Even fucking lifts (elevators for our corn eating friends) keep collapsing in blocks of flats and there's hardly anyone about to fix them. Which makes sense because as a handyman with electronics experience, why would you stay in a presumably dead-end job fixing lifts when you can 3x your salary doing something with drones?

And? In Latvia unemployed gibs only work for fixed time too. After you run out of welfare checks, something around 9 months of gradually diminishing payments, you are completely cut loose. The logic being, if you are genuinely seeking employment, it will take a small fraction of that time to land on at least something, even if you are being picky.

Partners would disapprove. Our military production is nowhere near to cover the military's needs for a transfer period. Probably why others before haven't even started considering it either. For all I know it will remain the greater of two evils until the war ends.

We have more than enough civilians who can't find themselves on the wrong end of a government's various means of suppressing protests of the worse variety - assuming such a thing would happen if they protested. They can bring up and out their dissatisfaction with the politicians they've elected any time. But of course if there are corrupt politicians who want to stay in power no matter what, they'd just accuse genuine expression of their voters' opinions as enemy scheming and proving them wrong would be not that easy. At least people like Reznikov get removed from time to time. Still worth demanding more, but how?
Also the Chief and Commander of the Ground Forces have both approved of, and are probably overseeing as much as they can, a great initiative that's going to significantly improve some things in the military. So with so many parts in play it'd be really hard to tell what would bring more good and what the opposite.

All this is purely theoretical assuming there is a need for it.

Rafael Grossi, IAEA Director General: IAEA abstains from placing responsibility on any country for the attacks on the Zaporizhzhia NPP to be able to engage in dialogue.

"People are always expecting the IAEA to say, 'This is country A or country B.' <...> We believe that this is detrimental to our efficiency, because after this [shelling] happens, I need to talk to President Zelenskyy, I need to talk to president Putin. I need them not to lose the capacity to talk to us, to have a dialogue, where we, together, can try to solve these kinds of situations," he said in an interview for the Russia-24 channel.

Russia feels its impunity after not being named and repeats its attacks.

A large nuclear power plant being occupied by an aggressive dictatorship is a major global threat. Russia has created this threat. Russia is the occupier and the aggressor.

Russia is secretly preparing sabotage operations around the British Isles, studying underwater communications- Financial Times.
This threatens Europe’s internet, energy supply, and military communications.

The Russian intelligence vessel Yantar operated in European waters for three months, gathering data on undersea cables vital for the internet, energy supply, and NATO’s military communications. The ship circled Norway, passed through the English Channel, entered the Irish Sea, and moved toward the Suez Canal, disguising itself as a civilian vessel.

Yantar is equipped with devices capable of intercepting data from cables and placing explosives. Its crew is highly qualified, including officers with submarine service experience. Putin is moving toward active sabotage preparations, creating maps of routes and installing underwater beacons.

Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen:

(I've added the video with English subtitles)

In recent days, Denmark has been subjected to hybrid attacks. Drones have been seen in several places near critical infrastructure, both military and civilian. These are attacks we must expect to see more of.

They are attacks designed to create insecurity and division. They are attacks meant to shake us as people and as a society.

All of this underscores that the security threat to Europe is serious and very real.

That is why, over the past years, we have been carrying out a massive build-up of Denmark’s defense. And it is also why we have continued to support Ukraine. Which, I believe, can help us in this situation.
Because if there is anyone who knows how to fight drones, it is our friends in Ukraine. And therefore, of course, we are now also in dialogue with them.

We are going to see more sabotage, more hacking, more drones, undersea cables being destroyed. Direct attacks on European democracies, as we currently see in the small country of Moldova. That Denmark and Europe are under more severe and hybrid attacks, I consider to be a new reality.

personally, I'm thinking Russia is considering the fact that their actual long-range munitions are barely of any significant use in Ukraine (they were msotly lobbing it at random civilian targets), but if they started a formal war with NATO they could use them to shoot at transport hubs in Europe + have a greater justification for full mobilization and a shot to just overrun Ukies with meat before NATO/EU get their shit together

For three days now, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has had no external electricity supply.

On Ukraine-controlled territory, the power line is operational, but Russia is deliberately not reconnecting the plant to the power supply.

▪ Cooling and safety systems are running on diesel generators due to the power line being cut off;
▪ There is a risk of the cooling systems failing, which could lead to the uncontrolled heating of nuclear fuel;

Russia also has plans to connect the plant to power lines through occupied Ukrainian territories.

Lavrov:

Russia is being accused of almost planning to attack the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union countries. President Putin has repeatedly debunked these provocations.

Russia has never had and does not have any such intentions. However, any aggression against my country will be met with a decisive response.

I don't think I need to remind anyone here how vehemently Russia denied its plans to invade Ukraine before the full-scale war.

Lavrov:

The North Atlantic Alliance continues its expansion right up to our borders. We have repeatedly offered NATO capitals to respect their obligations and agree on legally binding security guarantees. Our proposals of 2008, and the next ones, including December 2021 [the one that preceded Russia's full-scale invasion into Ukraine - AG], have been ignored and continue being ignored up to this day.

Moreover, threats of force against Russia are increasingly being made, with accusations that it is practically planning to attack the North Atlantic alliances and the European Union. Russia has never had and does not have such intentions, but any aggression against my country will be decisively rebuffed.

There should be no doubt about this among those in NATO and the European Union who not only convince their voters of the inevitability of war with Russia and force them to tighten their belts, but also openly declare preparations for an attack on our Kaliningrad region and other Russian territories.

I've put together a timeline of incursions into the airspace of European countries in recent months. Honestly, when it's all in one place, that looks very worrying.
Please let me know if I've missed any incursions.

◾Poland
*August 20: a Russian drone exploded over Lublin Voevodeship
*September 10: massive incursion of Russian drones into Poland's airspace; 19 drones detected.

◾Norway:
*April 25: Northeast of Vardø;
*July 24: Eastern part of Finnmark region;
*August 18: Northeast of Vardø;
*September 22: drone(s) over Gardermoen.

◾Latvia:
*September 18: a tail part of a Gerbera-like drone found on the beach;
*September 25: Five Russian aircraft close to Latvia's airspace; Hungarian aircraft rose into the air to take over.

◾Estonia:
*September 19: Russian MiG-31 aircraft spent 12 minutes in Estonia's airspace.

◾Romania:
*September 13: Russian drone in the country's airspace, tracked down by two F-16 jets.

◾Germany
*September 26: several drones spotted over/near Schleswig-Holstein.

◾Denmark:
*September 22: Copenhagen's airport closed due to drones;
*September 25: Aalborg and Billund airports closed, drones were spotted at Esbjerg, Sonderborg and Skrydstrup.
* September 26: airspace over Aalborg airport closed again due to drones.

◾Sweden:
September 26: driones spotted by Karlskrona Naval Base.

◾Lithuania:
September 26: Vilnius airport closed down twice due to alleged drones flying in the area.

◾Finland:
*September 27: a drone spotting over Rovaniemi power plant became public knowledge. Allegedly, the incident took place several days earlier.

As Prime Minister Frederiksen explained today, these are hybrid attacks, there will most likely be more of them and the security threat is very, very real.

Is coffee good for you? I've seen all kinds of claims by all kinds of people. I can only look at what he started his post with and how it's going. So by the time he and lots of other generals were changed around for reasons that still elude me, he was already Commander of the Ground Forces and considering the previous Chief was at least satisfied with having him there he was definitely doing his job. The previous Chief was and still is generally receiving high opinions of his competence so his choices in personnel must've been sound too. But that's just guesswork, not good enough.
So he becomes the new Chief. There is political meddling that has recently lead to not so good things present. There is political meddling then and it continues and worsens that leads to other aspects that negatively impact the military. There is a stably difficult situation on at least 2 fronts but the enemy is obviously winding up worse and worse meat waves and throwing everything else they can manage to get alongside. Also terror attacks on civilian objects and civilians themselves (individual droning of random villagers just because still happen like at least once a week - or at least are documented).
And yet we're still at about the same front lines in the large picture despite the enemy having gotten reinforcements from at least one country and volunteers and those they tricked from across the world. The strikes on the enemy's income generation have become a steady and powerful flow. The strikes have also extended to enemy's military production and even suppliers of those military goods facilities. Strikes are becoming long-ranged. Adoption of new and well-working UAVs, even conceptually new (interceptors, hybrid UAV-missiles and so on). Introduction and while slow and not easy but still adoption of terrestrial unmanned vehicles. Finally, recently the cutting off of salients. It looks like he's doing pretty well all things considered.

They are playing lose with the law, when it comes to feeding the cube. But they could do a general mobilisation.
Only what would that achieve?
Fuck ton of people riped from their jobs to training centers that are overloaded and can't proces them.
Empty gun racks, since everything is already spent. Even the scooby doo vans.
And then you get a massive unreast, the kind that brought down the USSR.
And you just give guns to pissed off people that don't want to go to the grinder, and any off your opposition can easily set against you.
The russian people being cattle is a meme, and its got a good funding, but they do have a reputation for fucking up their leaders when they lose wars or pul the leash to hard for too long.

Puccia thrives in chaotic situations. Think of the little green men, but in a bigger venue. Distractions are really valuable for them, not only to sabotage their own opposition/revolutionary nests, but for the world's eye to be busy elsewhere. Anything war crime related is easier then. Putin & the It's Always Swamp in Pidorusha gang have Netanyahu'd themselves into a corner where stopping the war means a certain death. Puccia is the pariah cruise ship where the pariah leaders retire. What happens if the ship needs to evacuate into life boats? They might be buying time for the "enemies of the West" bloc gets together through growing tensions and in return hope for an ally intervention.

Provoking NATO to react in an obscure subjective situation would be a winning lottery ticket for them. They know NATO won't really attack, but reacting gives Pootihn the boogeyman he publicly needs, and the twist he can play with.

This tactic doesn't work. Especially on a military that is determined to fight you until the very end. They are wasting an unbelievable amount of resources targeting civilians, while Ukraine is targeting military and energy infrastructure. Scorched Earth is outdated. The tactic hasn't really worked since Ancient Rome. The Nazis tried it and it did not go well for them either. Civilians are not the ones storing and carrying weapons. If you keep targeting them, pretty soon the battlefield evens out, then you end up losing any advantage in numbers and weapons that you once had.
