Think about it, the whole series is basically about catching wild animals, trapping them in tiny balls and forcing them to fight each other for badges, money and fame. Pokemon is literally trying to normalize animal abuse under the excuse of friendship and bonds.If this was real life it would be no different from cockfights or dogfights, trainers making their pets fight to prove who's the best.Why do we all just accept it as normal when it's basically glorified animal cruelty in a cute package?
