A problem with the social sciences is that normal people abandoned them. Normal people think that universities have smart teachers; and that things like gender studies teach people how to treat everyone fairly. The problem is that the people who choose to teach these classes are often insane; and the students who choose to pick up the social sciences are also a breed of insane. They are kooky fanatics, who form their identity on having esoteric beliefs that no one knows about. The way to be moral isn't through actions, but by believing the right thing. And the right thing to believe is some insane poorly argued manifesto that makes posadism sound centrist. Anything that isnt mainstream.Shit like "black people can't be racist because I changed the definition". "Communism works". Those ideas are so insanely stupid; they should have been laughed off as soon as someone argued them. Instead, respected teachers in respected universities teach those ideas like gospel. In fact, they are the mainstream beliefs in social sciences.Plus the added conflation of philosophy and data based science. That's why social sciences are called soft sciences; the experts refuse to make a hard line dividing the soft parts from the empirical parts; so the mixed soup turns al mushy in the end. Is this something backed by data; or something argued by a smart person like Judith Butler? It doesn't matter, it's all lumped in together and you hate women if you don't believe it
