War is great for distraction. As soon as the Gov opens again Massie has votes to get the Epstein files released. That can't happen when Anti-Semitism is at an all time high. The implications would be awful. It is easy to start a war and get the USA, USA, USA chants going. It can't be bomb Iran again because people are onto the Israel angle. So Venezuela works well.It will also stir up all of South America. They can get some CIA funded 'rebels' going and get lots of conflict going in neighbouring countries. Military contractors will be happy and the news can move on from Gaza genocide and Epstein files. Ukraine news has run out of steam and doesn't play on the News well.
