Even if they DID crack the AI necessary to make they function as shitty housekeeper robots using pure programing, the fact would remain that a remote operator COULD hijack your robot at any time without warning. Imagine the risks involved with that. You come to trust this machine because you see it and give it orders every day, and with no warning at all suddenly its not your robot its a person in your house that can unlock your door and let people in, or log into your computer using footage of you entering the password yourself countless times, or even just steal something from you and run or stab you in your sleep.
